Along the way, we passed a pizza shop with a sign that said, "Huge Pizza Slices." Well... I did a U-turn. The place is called Nicky's Pizza in Agawam, and let me tell you... this pizza was GREAT! Not only was the pizza delicious, but I believe it's a family-run business, and you could truly feel that warm, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere the moment we walked in. And they weren't lying about those slices being huge! But what really stood out to me wasn't just the food it was the kindness and hospitality. i didn't realize they were closing in about 20 minutes, and they never once made us feel rushed. They served us without hesitation and even told us, "Don't rush. We're going to lower the shade, but please stay until you're finished." That honestly meant a lot. Of course, my daughter was being her usual curious self and asking the staff a million questions. And every single person answered her. Nobody seemed bothered. If anything, they looked entertained by her questions and were genuinely engaging with her. Then, of course, she asked, "Mom, can I have ice cream?" I said no not because I didn't want her to have it, but because I knew they were technically already closing, and I didn't want to keep them there any longer. One of the staff members asked what my daughter wanted, and I told her she wanted ice cream but that I didn't want to bother them. She went out of her way and brought my daughter a little cup of ice cream on the house. I was blown away not just by the food or the service, but by their kindness, patience, and genuine hospitality. Those little moments matter. That honestly meant a lot. I was blown away not just by the food or the service, but by their kindness, patience, and genuine hospitality. Those little moments matter. Especially when someone goes out of their way to make your family feel welcome when they absolutely didn't have to. So, thank you, Nicky's Pizza, for a wonderful experience! We will definitely be going back. If you're in the Agawam area, definitely stop by Nicky's Pizza and grab yourself a slice. And trust me... when they say HUGE slices, they mean HUGE! I have been getting pizza from Brunos since I was 5 yrs old 51 yrs ago. It has always been THE BEST PIZZA of any I have ever had anyone in the country, but the past 3 times I have gotten pizza it has been terrible. Thinking it may be under new management or ownership or a new sauce recipe. It was the sauce and crust that made them the best. Outstanding taste like no other. Now their pizza is really bland. No taste to it. It is terrible. They also messed up our order last night. Allergic to onions and they messed up the pizza. For $44 it is definitely not worth it anymore to pay those prices for a party pizza or any size pizza from there. Even though they have been very expensive, it has been worth paying it for their unique awesome taste but no anymore. So sad. It was iconic! Also the last time I ordered for delivery they took an hour and 1/2, the driver got lost or something and still didn't have my pizza 1/2 hour after they closed. So Brunos you just lost a bunch of customers. I guess there is no good pizza now read more

I was shocked (and thankful!) at the portion size and value. Service was great. We ordered ahead and arrived exactly at the time they noted to, and our subs were being bagged as we hit the counter. Perfect timing. :) Employees were kind, thoughtful, helpful and made for a great experience. The ambiance is eclectic. As far as my sandwich itself goes...beyond the size and value, I thought it was pretty good. It was made with mozzarella, an unconventional twist which threw me off a bit at first. While giving a great cheese pull, the sweet, milky profile of the mozz coupled with slightly under-seasoned steak, left the sandwich needing just a little bit more. By no means at all a bad or disappointing sandwich...I just found myself wanting a little more seasoning to counteract the lack from the mozzarella that you would typically get from using either American, Provolone, or Whiz if in Philly. I give this a solid 3.5 for excellent value, portion size, and service. AND the parking lot was full at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon so that says a lot!
