Pizza was excellent- perfectly flaky but soft crust on all three. Our toddlers loved the cheese pizza, the white garlic was perfect with mushroom and crispy bacon, and the combo was tasty. Abundant toppings and the pizzas are enormous- personal was around the size of what we expect from a small, and smalls were large. The rating is based on food but the service would get five stars too- we called ahead and the girl who answered was super sweet and got a table ready for us. The owner (I think) was making our toddlers giggle before we even walked through the door with funny faces through the window, and the friendliness continued while we were eating and went above and beyond what you'd expect for a hole in the wall pizza shop.

Jaime, my server, was exceptional and super friendly as she kept checking in on me throughout my meal. I ordered calamari and a small pizza. She questioned my decision as maybe I needed something larger. Who are you kidding? The small pizza was a 14 inch pie with 8 slices for lil' ol' me!! Now I understood her question as in order a slice or two!! Regardless, the pizza was extraordinary and definitely had that stretched dough and hand toss feel and taste to it; fluffy yet strong enough to handle my carnivore toppings. The calamari... ay marron! First time I had it that didn't taste like it came from a pack of frozen bits. It tasted fresh and lightly coated and fried golden brown with a serving of home made marinara sauce. Red Rose is an Italian kitchen serving up the standard fares most folks are accustomed to, but I came here for the pie and left with a box to feed me for the next two days. Great place for locals and a pleasant experience for those visiting Springfield.
