This cafe is a must visit. They have a great selection of fresh pastries and coffee. The nitro cold brew was smooth. The chocolate chunk cookie was delicious. Perfectly crisp outside and chewy inside. Plenty of chocolate chunks and still was not crazy sweet. The pastry dough for the apple tart was thin and buttery. The bottom was not greasy and the tart apple filling had the perfect amount of cinnamon. Props to the cashier for pointing out which baked good had nuts because my nephew has a nut allergy. read more

For the third time in three weeks, the young lady taking orders stared at customers-no hello, no good morning. I wasn't sure if she was ready to take our order, so I waited for her-she simply asked,"ready?" My son ordered a sandwich, I ordered a coffee. He was on the last bite of his sandwich when I approached her and asked about my coffee (just a black coffee). With an attitude, she told me it was obviously busy and there were six pour over coffee orders ahead of me. I love the food, but this was my last time at pane dolcetti. read more

Cute little coffee shop with some truly delectable pastries. This chocolate caramel tart had such buttery caramel that had to be savored. My latte was also very delicious and I'm not that big of a coffee person. My friend ordered the mashed chickpea panini which she really enjoyed, as well as an americano. Delicious made-to-order paninis with the freshest flakiest bread! We stopped here on our trek across the state...it's close enough to 90 and worth the extra ten minutes to NOT have to eat at a rest-stop if you're just driving through. Friendly service, clean seating area, and even though seating is limited to a handful of cafe tables they still had a highchair for our little one. Had a few hours to kill in between computer training for work, so decided to check this place out due to the great reviews. First off, I almost couldn't find it because it's kind of tucked away in a little strip plaza, behind I believe Michael's pasta - across from Dunkin' Donuts. I tried the blueberry polenta muffin and it was a perfect balance of texture and sweetness. The portion was a good size that didn't make me feel like I just gained 5 pounds from eating it! First experience with pour over coffee as well. Typically, I like dessert coffee but I was able to drink this black, and it's amazing how much flavor and depth is in this little cup when you take away all the added cream and sugar! For lunch, I grabbed a mozzarella panini. It had tomato, mozzarella, and basil - drizzled with olive oil. The bread was so good that grilling wasn't even necessary! My only compliant is I wish there were more options during the weekdays. I work every weekend, and I believe that's when they have the most baked goods and of course, cake! I'll have to come back to try the cake...and maybe a cold brew next time! read more

What propelled me from four stars into five was the blueberry lavender gelato. The mozzarella panini was very good, but pricey for the size at $6. All the ingredients were fresh including the focaccia bread. The earl grey lavender tea was also very good and a nice change from earl grey with bergamot. The place was clean, service friendly, and they accepted debit cards. You clean up after yourself putting your dishes in a bin next to the door. I'm a tea drinker, but this place makes me want to drink coffee. We grabbed a bunch of desserts to go and they made a bunch of people happy. Went back a second time and it keeps getting better. I wish I could give more than five stars. Everything is just so good. The bread, hot chocolate, and desserts are exceptional. When they take out a giant prosciutto and slice fresh pieces right off it you know this place is legit. Can't wait to go back. read more

The owners are a hardworking couple serving up high quality food & drink. Often times the line to order can get backed up but it's worth the wait. Lots of choices for coffee & tea as well as pastries, sandwiches & focaccia. Today I came for one thing...cold brewed ice coffee. If you know what I'm talking about, then you know to add this to your bookmarks. If not, then you should know that cold brewed ice coffee is incredibly smooth, rich, strong & delicious. I couldn't say anything better about this place. I'm raving. This is well worth the 10 minute drive from the pike and I'm so happy I found it. I've come twice in two days.. And I never visit the same place twice usually. 100% have the best coffee in western mass. I've been searching for 5 months. The beans are from a toaster in Brooklyn. Grumpy roasters I believe. Quality. I had the mozz panini after much debate and I was not let down! The homemade focaccia is soft and flavorful and the mozz is Fresh. The tomatoes are roasted and yellow tomatoes and you can tell the owner cares about the ingredients and product. And all made to order! I'm not sure if the owner is the only one who works typically but he is super friendly and super modest. Try this place even if it's a tad out of the way. You won't be disappointed. read more

Homemade artisanal breads and desserts, great music and coffee done the RIGHT way (albeit slowly), with the classic pour-over technique and the proper water temperature. The bread we tried was inexpensive and incredible. Purchased to go with our dinner, it was demolished by the family on the way home, and never had a chance to see our dinner table. They have great coffee to go if you're in a rush and are seriously feeling the pull of the DD across the street, or you can SLOW THE HELL DOWN, spend the same $$$, and take 5 minutes before soccer/swim/basketball/baseball/Girl Scouts to live life a little bit. read more

The coffees change with availability, and come in fresh roasted weekly from New York's Cafe Grumpy. If you've never had a pourover coffee, now is the time. Ground fresh and brewed using a Chemex and cone filter right before your eyes, you get a smooth cup of coffee like no other. As a person who has always taken coffee with cream and sugar, you don't even need to add anything because, yes, the coffee is THAT good! It takes a few minutes, but so worth the wait! If the coffee alone isn't enough, anything they serve for food is just amazing. Everything is made fresh in-house from rustic breads to their filled to order cannolis. Let me start off by saying always call when trying a place out to ensure they're open. We looked up their hours online and they weren't open that day due to his wife (1 of 2 people who primarily running this place) having a baby... what a rookie mistake that I'm embarrassed to admit has happened all too often. Bottom line: Call ahead, regardless of whether its your first time or not, it really sucks to drive 20+ to go somewhere and its closed...anyhow onto the review. Food: 5 stars: Cinnamon sugar glazed lemon custard donuts are perfection. We originally ordered one to share and then ordered two more since neither one of us was happy about splitting a donut (primarily me). They only make these on the weekends, but worth the trip IMO if within 20 min of this place. 3 stars: Proscuitto panino w/ cheese olive oil, S&P, and greens. The bread was fresh and the other ingredients were quality but I found it a bit one-note. Could have used some tomatoes and mayhaps a flavored olive oil to kick things up a notch. Latte: Pretty decent latte, but nothing to write home about. 1.5-2 star: The walnut ricotta muffin was quite awful. It tasted salty like they used salted walnuts by mistake. It also had a ridiculous amount of walnut in the muffin, way way too much which upped the bitterness factor 5x. Its only saving grace was the breading of the muffin which was pretty tasty if you picked out the copious amount of walnuts embedded in each bite. Staff/Ambiance: Pretty friendly staff (husband/wife combo) and clean little cafe with various 2 seater and 4 seater tables/benches. Overall: I would go there on the weekend for their donuts if I was in the area, otherwise other places could produce better products with more variety. (10-15min of this place). read more
