Sooo beautiful, hand crafted decor and handmade sweets and treats! Fun for all the family! Small area to sit and enjoy , owner was very chatty and welcoming. My eyes could not get enough of the decor.staff did such a wonderful talented creative job,everyone must see/try this spot! There is a small table for one or two but that's it , parking limited but I was there at noon, so perfect!! This would be a perfect gift for any occasion and very creative! Thx Pete
This was only my second visit to Pete's, and the first time I got a cupcake set - just wow! I was a bit concerned going after lunch because I have known cupcake places that are wiped out before noon, but Pete's had a full array of interesting flavors: Peanut Butter, Oreo, Caramel Brownie, Red Velvet, Apple Cider Donut, Cinnamon Bun, Pumpkin Spice, Vanilla Maple, Pumpkin Patch, Maple Creme Brûlée (see pics of what was available when I went early on Thursday afternoon). I went for a six pack: Oreo, Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Bun, Peanut Butter, Apple Cider Donut and Vanilla Maple. Our favorites were the Oreo and Apple Cider Donut and Peanut Butter. And Cinnamon Bun. The Pumpkin Spice was pretty awesome too. We weren't as big fans of the Vanilla Maple but are generally are not huge fans of things flavored with maple so likely just personal taste. These cupcakes are a civilized size - not the monstrous sized things you get some places and not teeny minnies. For us they were just right and the box was a well designed carrier. The whole visit was also a great experience, from good COVID compliance (signed, masks etc) to super friendly and helpful staff. Do make sure to double check on the cupcake names which can be similar. When I was there they had both Vanilla Maple and Maple Creme Brûlée which led to some confusion. But really I suspect it's hard to go wrong whatever you pick.
Customer service is very friendly. I purchased a birthday cake and was also able to pick it up early. My only concern is that O had to carry the cake out in the open which made me very nervous because I did not want anything to fall on the cake or have it out in the open air, but there weren't any bigger cake boxes available and no cover for the cake so the frosting would not be ruined. I've never heard of this before, but I rushed the cake home to the fridge nervous as heck. Cake came out beautiful! We are very pleased with the details and smoothness. We also purchased a peanut butter brownie and raspberry bar. They were both delicious, decadent, and filling. The brownie is very thick; you get a good size and if you can eat the whole brownie in one sitting, kudos to you!
Outstanding bakery! Last minute cake for our 75th birthday celebration and boy did they deliver a great product. All layers were moist and flavorful and our guests marveled at the detailing on the shirt cake and buttons. Quality work. I was very impressed. I bet you will be too. Five stars.
I would like to thank the staff At Pete's Sweets Bakery they really came through for my niece's first birthday party the cake was amazing and they did on such short notice I called on Tuesday for a cake on Sunday and they came through with flying colors and the cupcakes were awesome
Back in april 2021, I had bought cupcakes for my daughter's covid birthday party. I had ordered 12 cupcakes (6 chocolate and 6 vanilla) with a twist of 2 colors. I wanted it to be unicorn colors themed. They added basic sprinkles and a light dusting of shimmer to the cupcakes. It was kinda pricey in my opinion for 12 cupcakes and simple decoration/flavors but it was delicious and the cake part was moist. I did add in my own sprinkles and unicorn ears and horns from Michaels craft store. You can see the before and after photos of my sad attempt to decorate lol anyways I give this place a 5 star because even though I found this place a but pricey, I think the quality is there. I follow them on instagram and I love seeing their theme weeks too. I have yet to go back and try other treats they have. Im sure if you had the money you could get a detailed cake seeing that they do pay attention to details (theme weeks), but at a high price. I think I would still get my wedding cake there when I get married. *update -- third time strolling through to grab some treats but this time for mothers day, and I honestly don't get a welcoming vibe -- more of a dry "hi-bye" kinda vibe. I mean im used to the longmeadow stuck-up people because i'm now a resident of longmeadow -- but ugh. I recall it was like that before when I purchased my daughters cupcakes but just excused it for maybe they were short help or something (it was covid times). Oh welps. Oh. My. Gosh. Why haven't I been here before this weekend? Holy cow! Let's start off by saying if I could give this place 10 stars I would! I went with my girls for a Christmas event thrown by the bakery. They had Santa and mrs Claus with free cookies and cocoa (free is for me!) and we were immediately blown away by the store. It was decorated perfectly and it was fully stocked with treats. The Santa they had was perfect and Mrs Claus was even better (she had the food...). They handed out literally the BEST chocolate chip cookies I've ever had in my entire life. Like even better than mine. I'm not a fan of other people's CCCs and honestly hold my recipe above the rest, but these topped mine completely. I was floored and immediately hooked. And they had warm ones? What?! We also purchased some cupcakes which were divine. The frosting wasn't too sugary and the cupcakes were perfectly moist. Pete, the owner, helped us out and was so sweet (See what I did there?? Lol I'm so funny). We'll definitely be back. And his wedding cakes looked to die for!
Finally stopped in after driving by everyday for some time now. As soon as I walked in I was less than impressed with the amount and variety of items for sale. The display cases were almost empty except for cupcakes of which I purchased two at $2.00 each. I was looking around for more choices and realized this was it. I asked for two slices of their Pumpkin Creme roll at $2.75 each which were also not displayed, but in the back. There was not enough variety or amounts to keep me coming back. I would of bought a lot more if there was more to buy. However, the things I did buy were very good, but were not priced reasonably. Stopped in again and nothing has really changed. Nothing really displayed except for cupcakes. I picked out 6 for $12 And was on my way. Again, the cupcakes are real good, but would love to see other things. The price of the cupcakes is like $2.75 each now, which is insane. Again, they are consistently good in presentation and taste, but c'mon Pete? I can fill my gas tank for the price of six cupcakes and six pieces of chocolate, which totaled $23.
My son was craving a cupcake, so we decided to look through Yelp. He was really impressed with the photos of the s'more cupcakes, he has a soft spot for marshmallows. So we decided to drive out there. There was decent parking, some street and some on the side of the building. It's a cute little shop, with two small tables to enjoy your treats at. There wasn't much of a selection. We pretty much got one of each cupcake that they happen to have in stock. There were a few other treats: chocolates, cookies, pies... But I wish there was more to chose from. The employees were really nice and helpful. We got a total of 8 cupcakes. We enjoyed one each, because there was no way our little man could wait until we got home. There wasn't anymore s'more available, so he went with the plain Jane, the hubby and I split ours. We both had the peanut butter and the caramel brownie. Talk about delicious! Their frosting is extremely tasty. We plan on coming back, grabbing sweets from here and getting coffee at Shellbourn Falls. I would give them a five if they had more of a selection and maybe drinks? Even a plain coffee or tea. More seating would also be great.
They're just delicious, I don't know what else to tell you. Another reviewer mentioned that while they might not have TONS of variety, everything is fresh and I couldn't agree more. How much variety does one really need? Each time I've been they've had at least 8 - 10, maybe more cupcakes to choose from and it literally takes me a solid 8 minutes to choose 4. If they had any more options, I'd be there all day. Plus, it seems they have all the good, typical stuff on a regular basis like carrot cake and red velvet. I've tried quite a few and my favorite by far is the caramel brownie cupcake. The carrot cupcake is also amazing and in the summer they have a lemon cupcake that is on point. Geez, who am I kidding, I would gladly eat them all. I want to give a perfect rating because they are so, so good but I wish that they were able to store them just a little bit closer to room temp. I know they need to preserve that delicious mound of buttercream but maybe a tad warmer would be awesome. Andddd maybe just a smidge less frosting would be my personal preference but whatevs. They're awesome anyhow.

I've been wanting to come to this pastry shop for a while, and didn't realize the theme changed so frequently I'm happy I stopped by when I did because it was a SpongeBob theme! I got grandma cookies, and the blueberry lemonade drink and some chocolates They also had the pretty patties cupcakes, SpongeBob rice Krispy treats, cupcakes, and chocolates. They also had chocolate covered marshmallows for the chum bucket. read more

Came here for the first time while in the area. This cute bakery has a different themes all the time. The theme when I visited was sponge bob :) I loved it ! I enjoyed grandma's chocolate chip cookies. They were simple but delicious. Also couldn't forget the variety of chocolates. We got a small box with an assortment of chocolates and truffles. Service was fast and friendly. read more

LOVE this place. Pete is a refreshing breathe of air at his bakery and I enjoy myself and feel welcome every time I go in there! Great pastries and cakes as well for something other than the normal grocery store type things. I personally love to support bakeries like this !!! Love the themes and look forward to each one!! The cake I bought was delicious, beautiful and super easy to transport. The cake was super moist and not over sweet. Frosting was delicious, it did not tasted like dye at all. It was a hit! Will definitely be ordering again read more

Unbelievable cake and cupcakes for our wedding!!! Pete himself called multiple times before our wedding to make sure everything would be perfect for our day and made sure our cake was exactly what we wanted. Not only did it look beautiful, but it tasted so amazing!! I never once had to worry or stress about the desserts. read more

Went in short notice to get my daughter a unicorn themed cake for her 7th birthday. I was hesitant to place the order after I heard the price quote but I gave in and placed it anyways. I'm glad that I did because everything was perfect from the decor to the flavors and most importantly of all my daughter loved it. I would come here again if ever I needed another cake for a special occassion or just for a cupcake. So good.... thanks a bunch Pete's Sweets, you made my daughter's big day extra special. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Pete's Sweets and his delicious cakes and cupcakes. We ordered a grooms cake, wedding cake, and chocolate vegan cupcakes from them. Our meetings and emails with Pete and his staff were helpful and informative. He worked with his to create a design based on our ideas and inspiration. They cakes were decorated exquisitely and everyone loved them! Pete truly has a passion for his business and an eye for design and creativity! read more
We had a last minute wedding to make. Long story, don't ask. The wedding was to be in NYC prior to a lunch already booked at a Tim Burton themed restaurant. Go with the flow. I purchased a beetle juice wedding cake topper and went to see Pete. He was enthusiastic and creative about our plan. And he designed a beautiful cake for us. We took it to NYC and had with lunch. It was as delicious as it was pretty. I highly recommend Pete for all your sweet needs. read more

Loved the cake they made for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor reception. Not only was it delicious-but it was beautiful! They took their time to work with me to create just the design I was looking for! They even incorporated items I brought into the design. read more

Had my son's 7th birthday cake made at Petes, Jaws movie cover. It came out PERFECTLY. It was the hit of the party. Cake tasted very good too!! I now stop into Petes at least once a week for some cupcakes (carrot is my favorite) and would definitely get another custom cake from them. Staff is very friendly, always a smile and polite. Best local bakery! read more
