Let's get something straight, right off the bat...I am a frosting SNOB! I will wholeheartedly admit it, my family are all excellent bakers. There are only a handful of places that I "like" the frosting/fillings. Koffee Kup Bakery frosting...I LOVE!! Took out a girlfriend for her birthday. We had heard that Koffee Kup had moved and were ready to try it out. The new place is bright, spacious and airy. The staff and folks coming in were all wearing masks (correctly, I'll add) and sanitizer was at the door. Because of covid, there were only a few tables spaced adequately apart. Stood six feet away on marked places on the floor and ordered two coffees, a cupcake, a cream horn and a whoopie pie. All this for under $10. The birthday lady loved her cream horn and took the cupcake home. I proceeded to get a spoon and scrape out a big scoop of the cream filling in the whoopie pie. Put it in my mouth and experienced pure pleasure. Mmmmm! Birthday lady remarked that in the future I should just get a tub of frosting/filling... definitely going to try next time! The folks working were extremely pleasant. The decor fresh and airy, it turned into a really nice March afternoon sitting sipping coffee and watching the world go by. I'll definitely go back... the smell of fresh bread and bakery items... yum!

Best bakery to go to. They are amazing they can make just about anything. I've been coming here for years to get my cakes.

    Not what was expected!

Horrible! It's unfortunate that we provided a photo of the cake we wanted for my aunts 75th birthday and it was melted when my cousin picked it up. It's really a shame my poor aunt waited 75 years for this sad cake. The only thing positive I can say is it tasted pretty good. The staff in the bakery were extremely rude and unapologetic that the cake looked like it sat out in the humid sun for too long and then didn't even have a box ready for her to take it. I've experienced ignorance before but for a Birthday this important I expected wayyyy more. My advice to anyone getting a cake from this bakery is to wait to pay, that way it will be done properly. We will NEVER use them again!!!!!

Raspberry Turnover. Very good, old school.

Arguably, Dino Facente is Springfield Massachusett's Cake and Cupcake Boss as evidenced by a few of his most noteworthy clients; Chubby Checker, Gov. Charlie Baker, etc. The Boston Cream Pie is the official State dessert and when Gov. Baker first tried Koffee Kup's Boston Cream Cupcake at the Big E, well history was made. The two men have kept it touch ever since, Gov. Baker has placed many orders since that time, even presenting the cupcakes at his inauguration. Koffee Kup is an "Old School Bakery", quite unlike the more modern versions we are accustom to seeing these days. Everything is scratch made, no prepared mixes are used and the end result is a product you might remember growing up as a kid sneaking pieces of grandmothers home made desserts. This is not an Italian bakery, although you will find some of those type of products available. They specialize in cakes for every occasion to the tune of 300 cakes per week. Koffee Kup is a must try when you are in the area and after your first Boston Cream Cup Cake it might very well become your destination spot when craving your next dessert fix.

Lets start off how we were faithful returning customers who purchased special made cakes for our kids/family every year and never had a problem until this past weekend that I can never get back. This put a serious bad taste in our mouth for this shop. First of all, we weren't even going to put a review but for our sons cake to being in a huge box that did not fit the cake by width, and the height of the box being 2x smaller than its height which smudged the FRONT of his cake had us already annoyed. We spent almost $100 for a cake, to be held up by STRAWS, not dowels. Ridiculous how this shop cannot afford dowels, but from Dino himself via e-mail they average 150 cakes per week and can't get a refund neither for their lack of compassion, returning customer satisfaction, nothing. "the only thing I can do for you since you said you get cakes from us regularly..i can give u 20 percent off your next few cakes and that would make up for your cost...we produce on average over 150 cakes a week and we take serious all orders whether they are small or large with the same amount of pride...Dino Facente doughboydino@verizon.net" This manager is a joke. Not to mention how unprofessional the lady who took my phone to show the females in the back the terror we had, to LAUGH at the pictures. My family has been long time customers here, and we will bash this place until we're blue in the face to NEVER recommend our friends/family here ever again.

Pathetic excuse for a professional cake, look elsewhere.

I sincerely regret that after many years of patronage by myself and my family, this small business has become too popular to be concerned with the quality cake and service it was once known for. My neice made a simple request for her 7th birthday, a pink barbie cake. I was informed upon arrival to pick up the cake I had ordered (weeks in advance I might add) that the cake would not be pink as their airbrush person was not there. Aside from the fact that they were incapable of utilizing food coloring as a back up, the flower petals were haphazardly placed along the border. As if this were not enough, the worst part of my experience was the remiss, rude and downright unapologetic clerk who informed me - with an attitude and a shrug- that my cake wasn't the only one that wouldn't have colored frosting. I must have missed the part where they were doing me a favor and I didn't pay 35.00 in advance for a repugnant excuse of a cake. Find a bakery that actually cares they're in the business of customer service and a big part of special events. I sincerely hope that I hear from Koffee Kup management at which point I would update my review to reflect any sign of humanity left in this bakery, but I must say at this point its doubtful.

We ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate filling and white frosting. The top layer slid right off (while in an air conditioned room on a flat surface), but we decided to try eating it anymore. Big mistake! The cake was dense and stale and the taste was unrecognizable. This will be our last time EVER dealing with them. I would of gave no stars but its not an option.

Our wedding cake was more beautiful and delicious than anticipated! Thank you for being part of our special day!

I have been coming in here for years sporadically. My last venture was amazing! I ordered a bday cake for one of my co-workers. A chocolate frosted chocolate cake. Absolutely Deliscious! Not to mention the mixture of cookies I also picked up YUMMMY!!!!

They have the best lemon Danishes ever! I grew up on their sweets coming back to Massachusetts visiting family and coming back to this place took me back to my childhood. It's also cheap and credit card friendly. Their treats are always fresh and so soft! Their cake is good also but I mainly come for the Danishes. The people are friendly and helpful. They have cookies to cannoli' s and everything in between. Definitely check them out if anything for their fresh Danishes.

The employees did not rush or intrude while we looked at the options. Very good social awareness. Happily answered questions. - Vibe: Small, hyper-local bakery. Mostly people who seemed to be regulars. Not busy. - Pricing: Very fair! We got 5 items for $14 and some change. So a little under $3/item - Food: SO GOOD. We got 2 donuts (sugar and glazed, biggest donuts I've seen in my life btw), a brownie, a chocolate cupcake, and a ham & cheese croissant (again, biggest croissant i've seen in my life). The sweets were perfect. The croissant came cold but reheated well in the air fryer. Overall a hidden gem. My only complaint (which is a borderline non-issue) is I wish they used a different packaging for the brownie. The fudge top completely stuck to the wrapper they used. I had to scrape it out of the wrapper and put it back on the brownie before eating.

Not a very large place tucked away in a neighborhood type setting. Plenty of delicious options for you to check out and purchase. Breads, donuts, fruit bars......the list goes on and on! I picked up a dozen donuts to take in to work. The Boston creams and the jelly donuts are HUGE. People weren't kidding about that, they're the size of my hand! Most folks aren't going to be able to eat more than one. I seriously struggled with two........and the flavor of the donuts were wonderful. Like they used to make them back in the day. Way better than DD, Chmura's puts DD to ABSOLUTE shame. Check them out you won't be sorry! I'll be going back for sure!

I have never wrote a review on them up until now. I have tried their bob bons , brownies, cannolis among other pastries. I enjoy them all. However this is my first time buying truffles from them. I wasn't aware of the price point for the truffles which $1.75 per each truffle. I do think it's a little pricey for a small item which is one of the reasons I think why I never purchased them because I assumed they were by weight in a bag not by quantity. The reason for the four stars is for the price point on singular truffles & that there are no prices listed in front of the pastries or desserts , so no one knows how much something is before purchasing unless they ask. The service was okay typical pastry shop service. The ambiance wasn't super busy for a Monday afternoon. I do enjoy their desserts but I don't think paying almost $2.00 for one tiny thing is worth it , by the time you know it , it's a whole bag equivalent of truffles from another chocolatier brand if not more. The truffles aren't in the photo but I ordered the sea salt caramel truffle & milk chocolate caramel truffle.

I had just seen Donut Dip pop up in an online article as the best donut place in Massachusetts and so I had to stop. Donut Dip is an old school donut shop, a large selection of a wide variety of flavors are on display. The short line moved quickly and I ordered an Apple Fritter and a Chocolate topped custard stick for the road. The price was a bit higher than I expected but the donuts were big and looked great and I wanted some food for the road so I didn't have to stop. The Apple Fritter was good, however it seemed to be a bit light on actual apple piece and while tasty it just wasn't anything special. The Custard stick was excellent, the custard was rich and luscious which nicely balanced the perfectly fried donut, the topping was thick and chocolaty giving the donut an old school feel. Although I didn't have a long visit I would say that overall Donut Dip has very good to great donuts. The shop feels classic and if I was nearby I would love to try some of the other flavors. Well worth a stop to check them out.
