Sure enough, she came over prepared with that foot scale thing and a notepad, helped us get the squirmy toddler lined up to find her size, and provided a helpful sticker with the size on it so we wouldn't forget. This same woman spent our whole visit back and forth from the back, checking on customers, looking for more sizes and styles, answering questions, and giving suggestions that proved her expertise in children's feet. I was very impressed with her pleasant demeanor considering how busy she was. I always knew my daughter had big feet, but she'd never been professionally measured before so it was nice to see the confirmation that she needed wide sizes! Stride Rite had a ton of options in her size and I noticed that most shoes come in 3 different width options. Add the quality and comfort of the shoes, and it's safe to say this brand rises to the top. After trying on several pairs, my toddler actually refused her old shoes to leave the store! I hesitated spending more than $10 on shoes that my child will outgrow within months, but I fully expect them to hold up through multiple kids. I'm sad this store won't be around much longer but I'll shop online based on this experience!

I asked her to bring both styles for my daughter to try, and she responded with a negative attitude like it was a problem. She didn't want to let her to try both styles. . Instead of simply bringing both pairs, the older lady refused, saying one "wouldn't fit." That decision is not hers to make it's the customer's choice to try and compare. Today was my first time visiting, and I was shocked by how unwelcoming this employee was. A sales representative should be helpful and friendly, but instead she made me feel like I wanted to walk out immediately. While my daughter was trying both pairs, I asked my daughter questions to make sure the shoes fit well (since there is no return policy). Instead of letting us focus, the lady kept interrupting by negative talking and being rude and It made the entire process uncomfortable. There are so many other stores that sell dance shoes, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time here. If this store wants to keep customers, they need staff who actually want to help, not drive people away.

Which at that time I had the shocking discovery my rewards account had been compromised. I had recently had some fishy email activity so immediately this lined up with that. She could tell I was bothered and worried about finding out my account has been compromised. She did not offer to call customer service to see if theres anything they can find about how/when it was hacked or what not. Zero effort given to help me. And zero pleasantries on her part at all. She asked me the same question 5 times. I told her repeatedly I never had the dsw app downloaded so I could not give her my shoe lover reward number or whatever. All I know was my account was linked to my email and phone number which apparently the hackers have changed. Left a bad taste about this location. No empathy. No problem solving skills. I was able to visit this store and found a large selection of wide and extra-wide width shoes for men and women in quality, name brand shoes. Stylish and traditional styles. They are pricey but compared to other shoe stores that do not carry extra wide width shoes, I was fine with the pricing. After all, quality and well constructed shoes are always a better value and your feet will thank you. The Owner helped me on one of the hottest days of the year to date and I'm sure I tired her out with all the shoe try-ons but hopefully, she appreciated my purchase of not one, but two pairs of higher priced shoes.
