When someone finally does answers your call, you tell them that you're calling because the prescription that the doctor ordered for your son is something he's allergic to and can't take. You say to them why is this not in his files since we have been getting prescriptions from Walgreens for 30+ years? They tell you that it's not their problem or their issue to put allergies in a patient's file. Seriously? This is a very dangerous situation because somebody could end up taking a drug that they are highly allergic to. And the people at this Walgreens pharmacy just really don't give a damn. Steer clear.

I was expecting to be shown a couple of options for what I actually asked for, which was a matte bronzer. Instead, the employees kept me at the Givenchy section the entire time and insisted that I try the BB cream, powder, bronzer, blush, and highlighter. Admittedly, I'm not the best at speaking up when I'm feeling a little uncomfortable, but even when I did, it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I specifically said I didn't want anything with shimmer, yet every product she used had shimmer-even after she insisted that it didn't. The end result looked terrible lol. The worst part is I was on my lunch break and had to remove all of the makeup before going back to work. Monica, however, was very sweet and helpful!

I explained that the item had been sold a couple of years ago, or maybe even three or four. She proceeded to tell me that she had never heard of it, that she is only 18, and that she would have been 14 when the item came out. She then informed me that she had only been working there for a few months and therefore wasn't actually aware that the product had ever existed. Okay, cool. I didn't ask for your birth certificate. I asked if you had ever heard of the product. Then the manager came over and immediately knew exactly what I was talking about. So, props to the manager for being helpful and all around awesome. The point is, if you aren't knowledgeable about the products you currently carry (or have carried in the past) just say that. There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying, "I'm not familiar with that product, but let me see if I can find someone who is." That would have been perfectly fine. What is not helpful is confidently telling me that you've never heard of something, followed by a detailed explanation of your age and employment history, as if I had somehow asked for your résumé. And I'm sorry, but telling me that you were 14 when the item came out does not exactly strengthen your argument. It actually explains why you might not remember it. That's fine! You don't have to know everything. Just don't act like the product is a figment of my imagination because you personally don't remember it existing. Again, shoutout to the manager for knowing her products (current and discontinued). She was the real MVP!

My…read morebirthday, in conjunction with a 50% of WeDeal for a one hour makeup lesson with Cynde, made for a great excuse to mix things up a bit. She started off the lesson by going through different basic, daytime looks. Cynde worked within the time limitations I gave her (I am not the type to spend a ton of time prepping) to quickly change my look from a work environment to a night out. She went through everything from how to line my eyes, use of shadow depending on my mood, and even getting rid of my chapped lips. With every consultation, she gives her clients a free eyebrow shaping, which worked out well because I was long overdue! Cynde took me about fifteen minutes late for my appointment, which I really didn't mind, especially because she ran well over the one hour time slot making sure she went over different looks and perfecting my makeover. While she has her own makeup line available for sale, I explained my current financial situation and she didn't pressure me to buy anything, which was much appreciated. I did buy a couple things (it was my birthday after all) and I love her cream eyeshadow that I use as a base to keep powder shadow put, a lip pumice, and a lip gloss - all of which I love. While I am sure there are other places where you can do something like this, I have yet to come across them. I was planning on watching a couple Youtube videos to get some new ideas, but it was so much more fun to have a lesson custom for your face and color palate. I will definitely be back for a few other things once I have some spare cash. BONUS: When my boyfriend saw me later that night, he thought I looked like a total babe. Nice!

Dr. Tom seems to have the latest dental technology that can really help catch cavities early. He has a new x-ray machine that makes x-rays a lot more comfortable than those old bite wings. Another technology he has used that really benefited me was the ability to avoid using a crown in certain situations. A few years ago, I had a cavity in a tooth right next to where I previously had a silver filling from long ago. He really needed to drill a lot to get the filling out and to repair that new cavity. This is the type of thing that normally he would need to use a crown. However Dr. Tom explained to me that he had a machine where he could essentially make a 3d puzzle piece for the hole and put it in if I had a little extra time. We could do it in one visit instead of two and it was actually less expensive than a traditional crown. I agreed and have had no issues with his solution. I went in yesterday for a cavity repair and received exactly the same treatment as in the past. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing medicine. They use a topical to make you comfortable. The staff also make sure to tell you what to expect before they do it. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in you and your dental health.
