This has to be the worst Walgreens location ever. When you call the pharmacy you are on hold and then the phone rings about 100 times and no one picks up. You have to call again. When someone finally does answers your call, you tell them that you're calling because the prescription that the doctor ordered for your son is something he's allergic to and can't take. You say to them why is this not in his files since we have been getting prescriptions from Walgreens for 30+ years? They tell you that it's not their problem or their issue to put allergies in a patient's file. Seriously? This is a very dangerous situation because somebody could end up taking a drug that they are highly allergic to. And the people at this Walgreens pharmacy just really don't give a damn. I've been going to this Walgreens for years. I've never had a problem with my scrips. When I get a text that they're ready I always Prepay & put the QR Code in my Wallet. There's a sign for Express Pickup, I just show my QR Code and I'm out of there in less than a minute. I don't appreciate other customers waiting in the other line telling me "hey the line is back there". I point at the large sign & don't say a word. I prepay to avoid lines!!! read more

This store sucks. I returned an empty ink cartridge I got the same day. with the cartridge. box, and I have receipt AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK! They had 5 staff watching me-no wonder they have to steal from customers. read more

Update: read through the reviews and can tell the pharmacy and pharmacist are the biggest issues Not surprised. Made an online appointment for two back to back flu shots (11:00 and 11:10) and I come in at 11:07 (my fault for being late) and I asked if she could at least take one of us. The tech was nice enough, explaining that the pharmacist had to go on break at 11:15, while the pharmacist was whispering god knows what behind her. Why would I have been able to make an appointment online 10 minutes before her break and then another 5 minutes before??? There were also options of scheduling them DURING her "break". And then I was told not to make an appointment next time, to just walk in??? I thought it would be the considerate thing to do, especially with COVID. I live right near here and am thankful this isn't my pharmacy because god forbid I come in to pick up my medication a few minutes before her break read more

I don't know if all Walgreens are the same but I can tell you the one at the corner of Golf and 83 is horrible. Time After Time After Time hey give him some excuse as to why they can't fulfill my prescription as requested or as doctor ordered. Even when I requested and they've agreed to keep me updated or email me if there is a problem with the prescription, they can't even follow through with that. That's okay another 4 days after the two weeks of silence from them without my medication, that won't hurt anything will it.... guess we'll find out. read more

I have been refilling the exact same prescription for 5 years at Walgreens (I have to bring in a new one each month because it's one that can't be faxed over) and today the pharmacist tells me she can't fill it until she gets ahold of the doctor because she doesn't understand something on it. Isn't that why I have a prescription, and that's why I get it at the same place for the last 5 years?!?!? Instead, I went down the street to a different Walgreens and they filled it there. This Walgreens is one of only four home care Walgreens (providing home medical supplies and products such as wheelchairs, canes, specialty medical products, etc) in northwest Chicagoland. The other three are in Skokie, Schaumburg, and Chicago (Howard and Western). Toni, in the home care department, was very helpful and on her own initiative googled some information on a product I was looking all over for. And she found it here for us. I also learned during this exercise that many of your average Walgreens employees have no idea what their own home care department is! read more

Having a 24-hour Walgreens within 5 minutes walking distance is awesome. It helps that the staff is competent.

The pharmacy is NOT open until 9pm as they have on their website. I walked into there before 15 min before 9pm, the guy behind the counter was rude and said I need to come back tomorrow since they are closing down. I work and this is the only time I could go in. If you are open until 9pm then you should be open and not closing down 10 min before. I'll find another pharmacy. read more

This Walgreens is busy the majority of time. They work to keep up the pace and do a great job of it. I have to say thank you to the entire pharmacy staff. They have treated me with respect and dignity. They never made me feel bad about the medication I took. I never got judgment or an evil stair down. They have worked with my insurance countless times. My husband has had many talks with the pharmacists. They never sent us in the wrong direction. For me they went above and beyond. I genuinely think they care about the well being of there clients. Better change the hours for this store! I guess they recently changed their hours, and the store is only open until midnight. There are no more 24 hour stores in the area now. Tonight we walked up to the store and an associate was outside and said to us "hurry up, we're about to close, you have a few minutes." neither of us knew about the new hours. So we walk into the store, and an associate at one of the registers who was takin care of another customer rudely said "we're closed!" We said to her "the person outside said we have a few minutes," she wasn't having any of it, and continued to rudely say "we're closed." So much for this store being the neighborhood Walgreens where you went late at night if you need something. read more

I love everything about this store except the inept phone girl. You explain in detail what you need something for so she can see if they have it and she immediately says "so, what are you going to do with it". You stress multiple times it is not in a certain department don't bother looking there and she comes back with "I looked in that section and it's not there". When I ask for mgr to look on computer she disconnects. Every time it happens no matter the question unless you can get to a mgr. I called back she transferred to someone who transferred back to her, who hung up. Will try Osco... I also wish they were still 24 hr when need something middle of night. I never fill Rx or take pills unless realIy need, so one time after surgery I was hit with pain at 2am and drove over to get it filled along with few other people there. This walgreens is awful. I use it for the pharmacy. I came in for a prescription. The man behind the counter was friendly, until he saw what it was for! Once he saw what I was buying he glared at me and haphazardly threw the bag at the counter. The second time I went in for the same prescription there was a woman behind the counter. I thought "ok, different person, yes!", well I was wrong to be excited. Once again saw my prescription and the attitude changed. She didnt throw the bag at the counter but she got short, and snippy and glared at me. Extremely judgemental employees. I changed pharmacy's completely and immediately. read more

Slowest Pharmacy ever. No matter when I go there, there is always a line 5 people deep. My Dr. faxed in a script last night, when I got there 40 minutes later, I still had to wait, and they didn't have one of the meds that he requested. The girl said "well he gave you 2 medicines for pain already...." While rolling her eyes. No, what he gave me was a muscle relaxer, a pain med, and an anti- inflammatory, which is the one I still don't have. I only go here as a last resort. read more

This review is strictly based on this store's customer service as it relates to the pharmacy department on 2 recent visits. First visit: 5 p.m. and the line for pharmacist included about 11 people behind me. Everyone has somewhere they need to be or patients that need their meds but we were neatly filed and waiting patiently observing the unmarked line between aisles to allow for a little room between customer giving personal info at the counter and the next person in line, which was me. 2 pharm techs and the guy wearing a white coat calls the next person in line - that's me! Well, a gentleman whose English must be a second or non language came out of nowhere assuming there was no line formed. Fair enough, his mistake, but when I popped up and tried to tell said gentleman that there is a line, get in it, he dismissed it and stepped up to the counter. I then tried to explain to the white coat that there are lots of people who are waiting, tell him to go get in line. He looked at me like I had 3 eyes. Any way, he served the gentleman. Next customer is me and it's the white coat. So I explain to him that there are lots of people here in line that have been waiting, "why didn't you tell that gentleman where to stand?". He tries to pacify me with a language barrier issue to excuse both of their horrible behaviors. Not on my watch mr white coat! It's not the gentleman's fault, it's YOUR fault for not being professional about it. And rather than redirecting him to the line or even so much as making him aware of it, he served him. What!? I added "people have gotten shot for less offenses" as myself and others in line were there for well over 15 minutes patiently waiting our turn. I told the white coat his customer service skills are for shit and allowing non English speaking customers to front of the line is not ok for those waiting, English speaking or not! What a crock of shit excuse to allow a line jumper. Second visit: Again in the line to turn in a script to be filled. Next person in line steps up with a paper script and pharm girl directs customer to the next window down. I step up and ask if I can follow since I have drop off too, why not? So I follow. As I'm waiting, I'm looking for RX DROP OFF signage over the window - nothing. I step up in to the alcove window, greet the pharm lady taking my script when I notice the smallest sign for Pharmacy Prescription Drop-Off that is posted on the inside of the alcove. I said "Wow, can this sign be any smaller? No signage over the window, like you have for Pick-up and Consultation?", she smiles and laughs a little. I continue while she is chuckling with "geez, you know, there's a lot of people waiting in line over, like the lady before me and myself, like assholes with nothing better to do than stand in line." She was laughing now a bit more with wide stupid smile to which I responded, "And you're back here laughing about it." What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE? Zero is what I give the pharmacy staff. Very unprofessional and the customer is taken for granted knowing everyone in line NEEDS their scripts. If this Walgreen's would put a sign up over the window and USE said window to facilitate rx pick ups from drop offs, as well as knowing how to tell a customer where the line forms would appear that the customer's time is valued. read more

Refrain from going here. One of their managers does not how to talk to customers. This woman is the rudest I have ever seen. She doesn't speak english, yells at customers when you ask for a product. If you ask her for a product A, she shows you product B. People like her should get fired. read more

I really like this Walgreens, not only because it's a couple blocks from home and within walking distance, and that it's open 24 hours, but it's because they've got a bunch of items I need beyond the prescription and over-the-counter medications... And those items are usually selling at a discounted price... Like buy 3 and save.. Or by one get one free... And so on. Prices on Items like Monster and RedBull can't be beat.. A while ago I came to have some photos printed. After choosing the photos off my usb stick and getting the receipt, I went for a walk around the store. Once the "Promised By Time" was reached I came to the counter but no one was there. So I asked the cashier and she called the photo specialist over. The specialist told me that I should have called her over when I wanted my photos developed. That's your job! You should have known there was an order and what's the point of promised by time if you don't commit. I didn't even get the photos at a discounted rate. To add to this, she was rude and so was the assistant manager. read more

24 hour Walgreens....with a pharmacy that doesn't open until 8....because what the world needs with a 24 hour WalMart a block away is a place to buy overpriced Halloween decorations and "as seen on tv" items, not a place where I can pick up my medication. read more
