We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

For the first look and ceremony, she created a beautiful natural makeup look that made me feel like the best version of myself. I should mention that I am a general dentist working in Chicago and saying that I pay attention to detail is an understatement. To put it lightly, I can be a bit controlling and difficult to please. At my very first visit, I had my eyebrows done. I watched nervously in a mirror as she tattooed my eyebrows. I was surprised at how quickly she was finished. I have read that this procedure can take up to an hour but I was out in less than 30 min (with half of that time actually being tattooed). I hate to brag, but wow... my eyebrows look amazing!! I still get compliments on them to this day. My eyebrows were not bad before but I always thought they looked better a little filled in. Now I wake up every morning with perfect eyebrows! Its really great, I would recommend it to anyone. I later went back to see Wanda to get my eye liner done. Which I NEVER thought I would do for obvious reasons (like what if i didn't want to wear eyeliner somedays?). I told Wanda I wanted it to look very natural. I trusted her so much at this point, I just let her do her thing. She did such a phenomenal job. It looks exactly how I wanted it to look and I couldn't be happier. LOCATION: I have been 3 different locations to see Wanda. All were extremely easy to find. Parking was never an issue (even in her downtown location!) and all facilities were clean and comfortable. PAIN: I was very worried about how much this was going to hurt. I am a bit of a baby when it comes to needles and I grow especially frantic with thing close to my eyes. Wanda uses a topical numbing agent before she starts and this helped more than I can describe. She must use a very strong topical agent because the pain was much less than I was expecting. Ultimately, your still getting a tattoo on you eye lid so keep in mind its not the most comfortable feeling. Wanda works very quickly and so even if you are having a bad experience, it doesn't last very long. MONEY: This is a bit of an investment for beauty but I did some simple math and justified this expense. The amount of money I would have spend on eye liner and brow filler over the course of many years was much higher than what I would be investing on tattooing it in. When you combine that with the fact that you will be saving so much time getting ready every morning it seemed like a no brainer! Overall, Wanda is a true artist. She has been doing this for decades and now teaches other people how to do this art. She is an esthetic eye, works incredibly fast and is extraordinarily talented. I couldn't ask for better qualities in my permanent makeup artist.

The cuticle cleanup and shaping were super detailed and I didn't realize how much precision goes into it until I saw her work. I got extensions with a French tip and the whole process took a little over two hours. The salon is quiet, clean, and relaxing. The service menu is simple but everything is high quality products and equipment. You can tell they really know what they're doing and have trained for a long time. Marina was great and I'll be coming back soon to get another set. I have a feeling these nails are going to last me a long time.

She is consistent and reliable with excellent makeup skills, while her professional yet down to earth personality have always made me feel very comfortable working with her.
