I heard about this new nail salon in Northbrook which is super close to me like only ten minutes away. I found their Instagram and saw how nice their work looked. They specialize in Russian manicures which I'd never tried before so I was really excited to go. My nail tech was Marina and she was amazing. She's so friendly and really meticulous. She took her time on every single nail to make sure it looked perfect and even redid parts if she or I wasn't completely happy with it. The cuticle cleanup and shaping were super detailed and I didn't realize how much precision goes into it until I saw her work. I got extensions with a French tip and the whole process took a little over two hours. The salon is quiet, clean, and relaxing. The service menu is simple but everything is high quality products and equipment. You can tell they really know what they're doing and have trained for a long time. Marina was great and I'll be coming back soon to get another set. I have a feeling these nails are going to last me a long time. read more

I'm giving a two because my actual nails look good. However, I have scabs all over my cuticles which is incredibly embarrassing for the holiday season. My ninety minute appointment went well over two hours and I had to stop the appointment. It was my first Russian manicure, so I don't know if it was supposed to sting and burn the whole time, but it did. read more

Here's a more polished version of your review: --- I decided to try a Russian manicure for the first time after seeing a lot of Instagram ads about it and found Perfect Glare, which had some decent reviews, though not many. I wanted to take a friend who had just moved here, so I tried to adjust our schedules to find a time that worked. We settled on 8 a.m. on a Friday, and I clearly mentioned in my text that this time worked for both of us. We were only a few minutes late, but when we arrived, they informed me that only one appointment had been booked. I had specifically mentioned "our appointment" in my text, and I had also paid a $50 deposit, so I was surprised by the misunderstanding. After some back and forth, they told me I hadn't been clear, so I let my friend take the appointment. Then, my friend wanted extensions since her nails were quite short, but the technician said we hadn't mentioned that and that they didn't have time to accommodate it. The staff was extremely rude about it, and when we asked about the deposit, they refused to refund it. Overall, I was really disappointed with the customer service. I would not return after experiencing this level of miscommunication and unprofessionalism. read more

Very terrible management and unprofessional, don't fall for the aesthetics, the nail technicians don't know what they are doing. I asked to book for the combo Russian manicure and pedicure which was meant to be 100usd, last minute I was told that won't be possible and I will pay 160usd, I went ahead because I was out of time. On getting there, I let them know that I have short nails and I would love to have nail extensions, after deliberating for a while amongs themselves, they said it will be possible and it will all cost me 210usd. I had this service on 11/08/24 Friday afternoon and by 11/11/24 Monday morning the left thumb nail fell off and by afternoon right middle nail had fallen off. Please note that I had not done anything extraordinary with my hands/nails, no cooking, packing or anything rigorous. Need to say that I was bruised and bleeding from some of the cuticles. Reaching out to perfect glare, the owner told me that I should treat my nails as jewels and not as tools, l don't know exactly what she meant by that but definitely not a way to talk to a paying client, rather not an attitude of someone who wants her business to grow, i usually don't leave reviews but I wouldn't want anyone else to fall into same situation as mine. Very unprofessional, just look at their responses on Google. I went once a year ago and just wasn't a fit for me - they do lazy work for cheaper. So fast forward a year from then, the lady just made a mistake booking someone with the same name as me, which is no problem. But then couldn't provide me with a text or screenshot that she cancelled the appointment. And she flipped out and blocked me on Instagram. Definitely don't recommend. read more

I was finishing up my errands early and reached out to them and they were able to take me in sooner. I loved that my nail tech educated me on the process of e-file (Russian manicure) as she did my nails.
