Outside seating on a nice night

Wanted something with flavor that was healthy and found it. A big plate of curry and rice that is perfectly spiced and wonderfully cooked. Sitting outside on a nice day life couldn't be better.

What a well rounded (no pun intended) menu at The Globe! It's an incredibly small diner with some indoor and outdoor tables - we were fortunate to get an outdoor table and the weather was perfect. Staff were very kind and attentive. Ordered both soups to try and I preferred the 15 bean a bit more, but thought both were phenomenally savory and flavorful! My bf got the korean bbq bowl at a heat of 2 and was very pleased! We def would return if in town again (visiting).

First of all, the guy who owns this place is the nicest guy, enthusiastically described and suggested dishes to us, and introduced us to his favorites. He warned us hot was going to be hot-hot, so we ordered lower than the spice level than we normally would and the food was plenty spicy. This place is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. It's right on the UW campus and has a few tables inside and outside. We had fried chicken Tibetan dumplings, and I could have eaten a whole order myself, crispy and stuffed full of mildly spicy, flavorful minced chicken. Our curries were amazing. Like, I still think about them amazing. I don't live in Madison, but if I did, I'd eat here once a week.

I love this place! The Indian tic tac curry and Thai coconut curry were noted as one of the most popular items and I can see why! I would suggest ordering a higher spice level if you like spicy food (; Service was friendly! You order at the counter and they bring it out to wherever you're sitting. The ambiance inside is small but they have a lot of outdoor seating. I highly suggest sitting outside when it's nice out!

We've walked by this place many many times and never really paid attention to it until we saw some reviews so we decided to give it a try. Given it is a super tiny space we waited until summer to dine here at one of their outdoor tables. One problem with that idea was that on a hot sunny day their outdoor seating has no shade so we ended up eating inside (with minimum AC). Fortunately it was early and not too busy. You order at the counter. And I don't think they had any alcohol. I ordered the Korean BBQ pork bowl and my wife ordered the Korean chicken tacos. Both were big servings and very delicious. We noted that we should have ordered the Tibetan dumplings which everyone else had ordered and were prominently mentioned in other reviews. Next time. An interesting mainly Asian menu. My tastes are narrower than my wife's and she saw many other items to order on another visit. We will be back.

This place is BUSTLING! And for good reason. We ordered the Indian tic tac chicken and grilled Korean bbq with chicken. Both were delicious in their own right. I will say the spice level was quite high -- we did a 4/5. The burn felt good but perhaps a bit too high for us.

We went for a late lunch. The restaurant is small but it has outdoor seating. There were plenty of people taking out as well. The server seated us as well as took our order. The service was quick. The food was delicious. We were offered additional rice for our curries free of charge. I would recommend this for anyone interested in quick Asian fusion that tastes great.

I could eat here everyday lol it's that good !!! Great family own restaurant in the heart of madison! They are always so kind, caring, and diligent with each and every customer. I love coming here and telling people about it. I have had the afghan korma curry with chicken level 3 spicy and it's delicious every time ! Their indian tic- tac curry, cajun jambalaya, grilled korean bbq, chow mein noodles, and samosa's are few other favorites of ours. Great place to take out or dine in. They offer indoor and outdoor seating! Go check them out ! Tell em jessi sent you... and grab a Thai tea on the way out. (:

Such a neat experience here! we picked our own level of spice. We loved the nice slow building heat of the Korean BBQ. The spicy sauce around the Tibetan dumplings was surprising & worthy returning for!

Cozy little place with authentic dishes. I had the veggie bento box and the Thai coconut curry spice level 3. Very spicy but delicious. I will come back next time I'm in town.

Delightful cozy spot with a handful of indoor tables and counter seating, plus outdoor seating. The dumplings are to die for.

Great staff, wonderful food. I'd not order the fried dumplings which were not tasty and the sauce awful. But everything else was very good.

I got a cocktail and the 4-course. The cocktail tasted really smoky yet incredibly smooth. The fois gras mousse was kinda ok but also 4 small bites maximum. The salad proved that even basic vegetables can be perfected. The casonelli was one of my favorites dishes for sure. Extremely satisfying texture and flavor combinations. The pork collar was also pretty pretty solid with flavor combinations, and texture was a little chewy depending on how you cut it (in a good way). The dessert was not bad, to me it kinda reminded me of really fancy whipped cream on top of vanilla pudding. Would come back here again (if they weren't closing!)

We tried a range of dishes and some of the favorites included the lamb belly, the beet salad, and the duck breast. Many items were beautifully cooked, such as that duck and the octopus on top of the risotto. However, overall we felt that there were some missed opportunities for stronger flavors. There were many bites where I felt that everything was tasty but just missing the full flavor potential of such lovely ingredients. Service was perfectly fine and friendly and everything came fast once we ordered! I would certainly return for another visit and hope that this restaurant, which is clearly a community staple, takes some bolder flavor risks in the future!

The martini options seem endless, and all the drinks are absolutely delicious. Both visits our server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The interior has a lot of seating options and also bar-seating. The lighting, in my opinion, was a bit too bright for a bar, wish it was either bright all the way or darker instead of an in-between dimness. We ordered 2 drinks each and we of course had to try each other's drinks, and sincerely could not decide which was the best because every drink was so delicious and came with adorable decor!! If I had any suggestions for this place, I would say I wish The Stuffed Olive had a tasting option for the drinks, maybe like best sellers tasting menu or a themed tasting menu based on the names of the martinis. I would absolutely try that, especially because I really wished I could try every martini option in the menu! If I'm ever visiting my friend again, I definitely will be coming back to The Stuffed Olive!!!

Main plates arriving before appetizers. For one of our parties the appetizer came with the main plate. Waiter couldn't manage to find our bill on his remote checkout appliance and had a small breakdown so the other waiter had to bail him out and finish the transaction after 5 minutes of him sitting against the wall by our table just udderly confused. We would of liked to have seen the bill to see if it was correct since we didn't receive some of our appetizers but thought that would of just pushed him over the edge..some patrons left as they never got any service after waiting over 30 minutes and not being addressed. It wasn't a full house.. Now why the generous 2 stars you ask? Well, my food tasted solid. I had the caprese flatbread and it was good but definitely could be better had they used fresh tomatoes especially this time of year and them being 2 blocks from the Dane County farmers market. I also had the hummus and it was good and the donuts for dessert were decent. One of my parties had the tuna and he said it could have been more flavorful but it was ok. He also said the bruschetta was solid. My husband had the whiskey sliders and he said they were good (juicy) and would probably order again. The last in our party had a pesto chicken flatbread and she said it was pretty good but needed more pesto. We were supposed to have the olive appetizer but it never came so can't speak to those. Our other appetizer, the spinach dip came after we had our meal. He had forgotten about it and when he brought it out you could tell it had been sitting a while. I think it would be good freshly baked. As for drinks, one had a dirty bird and it was way too dirty... need to lighten that up a bit. 2 had mocktails and they were fine (lemonade based) and the last had the Rose that was on special and it was solid. Womens restroom was not clean.. yuk! We obviously are not returning. I can't imagine they will be around long if they don't make changes. We truly felt bad for our server. Not trained well and where is the manager to help support him when he needs it? Or the owner?
