    Noodle soups

We were in the area and very hungry, and I saw this on the map and was curious since I don't know too much about Tibetan food. We got the salt butter tea because my friend said that's a common thing to drink tea with salt and butter in the mountains and it tastes what it sounds like lol. Personally not for me / I prefer their sweeter tea, but it might depend on your palate. I liked their noodle soup dishes and would probably recommend those - we got a vegetable stir fry because we wanted some vegetables but it was a bit too oily for me / felt like it negated the point of getting vegetables. I would have rather tried their momos lol. Their pork belly stir fry was solid but my friends said it was salty. The menus were gorgeous and the staff were really nice and seemed like an earnest, small business. Overall, worth a try if you're in the area even if it wasn't the best meal of my life. But still a good meal!

The thenthuk was excellento! Definitely recommend adding a bit of chili crisp oil to the soup though (it's on all the tables there) - it complements the peppercorn spice (already in the dish) well.

We finally made it to Tibet Kitchen. We only sampled a few dishes since we had just finished dinner, but everything was absolutely amazing! Thenthuk - Hand-pulled Tibetan flat noodles stir-fried with beef. Simply outstanding! Chive and Beef Momo - Juicy and bursting with flavor. A must-try! Chicken Momo - So succulent, it felt like a Xiao Long Bao. Wow! Tingmo - A steamed bun with a surprisingly delightful beer-like taste. So good! And let's not forget the staff--they were incredibly friendly and nice, making our experience even better! It's such a cozy little space.

This place is AMAZING. Really, really good food. I had the thenthuk stir fry with beef which is served with the side of soup. Quality flavours and tasted very fresh. Next time I need to have the momos!

This place used to be Arod's Tex Mex before. Surprised to see a Tibetan place. I went for a lunch on a week day. I was the only customer. But I liked their food. Thenthuk was my favorite. It was flavorful soup with noodles and chicken/beef. Shaptak was a flavorful beef dish. Shaptak did not come with any sides. I wish it came with rice by default. I did not order any side either. As I was in a hurry, I just ate the beef without any sides.

Food is excellent. Traveling from San Francisco, the mecca of food choices, this little Madison gem is a treasure. I almost don't want to give it a good review so that it can stay hidden. It's next to Woodman's grocery in a small strip mall off of Gammom. Very unassuming. Did a triple tick before seeing it. The foods is fresh and plenty. Lots of hot spicy chili sauces but you can adjust. I was sniffing and sweating in a good way. Not so overwhelming that I lost tastebuds. The chicken noodle soup I had reminded me a mix of Mexican chicken soup and American chicken dumplings and Chinese flavors all blended in a bowl. The Momo's are shandmade and packed with great flavors. The salt butter tea (my first) was quite an adventure. I liked it. The Tibetan bread?! What can I say, I have breakfast! My eyes were larger than my stomach! It is quite a taste journey. It's family owned. It's bright, clean and comfortable. You know the owners take pride in their place and food! I'm looking forward to returning and trying more dishes.

7 wide booths and a central counter fills this pleasantly colorful spot. Staff was gracious and helpful and food was delicious. I began with the plain lassi and my husband had the sweet milk tea. The lassi was vanilla flavored and sweeter than I expected. Our orders came with a small bowl of soup, which was clear and mild. I could drink that all day long. Baby bok choy stirfry had a garlic sauce on it that was savory and pungent. Husband ordered the Chicken Momo, mild and served with spicy sauce. ThanThuk Noodles were served with crisp vegetables and looked hand cut. Will definitely come back.

We just finished our delicious meal at Tibet Kitchen! The Chicken Momo was juicy and the beef thenthuk stir fry was flavorful. Served with cups of broth. Very attentive server and clean restaurant. Highly recommend!

Great hole in the wall place for more "traditional" Chinese food. We all enjoyed our meals.

Service was soooooo slooooooow. We were there for almost 2 hours and not because the food was…read moregood. There was only one person there and he kept dissappearing around back, making me think he was the chef too... which is scary since he was not wearing any kind of hair restraint! Food was pretty bad as well. The "Lamb Stew" had 2 small, thin lamb chops served over some rice, one boiled potato, a couple strips of carrots were on the side. The Breakfast which looks amazing on the "photo" is worth maybe $10.99, not nearly the $20 price tag. The photo shows 3 eggs, there were only 2. The photo shows multiple kinds of olives, and jelly, and cheeses... The only olives were canned black olives... REALLY??? A Medeterranian place that serves canned black olvies? How about some Kalamata or Castelvetrano? Cheap canned Black.. what a joke. There was one small scoop of jelly, a little honey, the "clotted cream" was cream cheese, and there were a few small diced cubes of feta. And the biggest joke of all, almost equal the the canned olives was the sauage that comes with the breakfast. There were 4- quarter sized slices of some kind of sausage. Each was about as thick as 2 quarters stacked on top of each other, probably the thinnest they could cut them without them being see-through. Even if service hadn't taken soooooo looooong, I wouldn't go back. The menu descriptions and the fake photos of the food compared to what you actually get is just horrible. They say they have been open since 1998, maybe they were good then, but unless they step it up they won't last much longer. There are actually good places out there to get this kind of food.

Went here for lunch and were lucky enough to get the last table available. It's a pretty small…read morespace for seating, but it seems like they can do pretty quick turnarounds. It seemed like there were only 2 or 3 people working, so I was impressed by how quickly the food came out after the waiter took our order. We got the chicken shawarma and the Adana kebab. Both were good lunch sizes for a good price. They balanced well and there was a tasty spice throughout both wraps. They're served with some sort of yogurt sauce which is helpful for the first bites which are mostly wrap. Overall, would get both again, but also really want to try the Kebabe sandwich. Great that this is a place where you can be in and out in 30 minutes.
