    Tibetan Dumplings Chicken Plate
    Wade H.

I'm an Indian food lover through and through, but this spot goes beyond the confines of Indian food--it pulls in bold flavors from across the globe, and it absolutely works. The creativity and uniqueness here have set a new bar for flavor in Madison. I've been to other Indo-Chinese restaurants, and, in a good way, this not even close to them. I'm not saying it's Michelin-star level, but it is original, memorable, and definitely earned a loyal customer every time I'm in town. PS: They have timely service. Pro tip: order the dumplings and the Afghan korma. You won't regret it.

Favorite spot off state street. I love the Afghan korma, the 15 bean soup, and the Indian tic tac curry. You really can get anything and it will be packed with so much flavor. It feels like everything's made with care and serious love for the food. It gets busy during lunch and dinner pretty much every day, and since there's not a ton of seating, I usually just grab takeout. The staff and owners are always super kind and friendly!

Wanted something with flavor that was healthy and found it. A big plate of curry and rice that is perfectly spiced and wonderfully cooked. Sitting outside on a nice day life couldn't be better.

What a well rounded (no pun intended) menu at The Globe! It's an incredibly small diner with some indoor and outdoor tables - we were fortunate to get an outdoor table and the weather was perfect. Staff were very kind and attentive. Ordered both soups to try and I preferred the 15 bean a bit more, but thought both were phenomenally savory and flavorful! My bf got the korean bbq bowl at a heat of 2 and was very pleased! We def would return if in town again (visiting).

First of all, the guy who owns this place is the nicest guy, enthusiastically described and suggested dishes to us, and introduced us to his favorites. He warned us hot was going to be hot-hot, so we ordered lower than the spice level than we normally would and the food was plenty spicy. This place is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. It's right on the UW campus and has a few tables inside and outside. We had fried chicken Tibetan dumplings, and I could have eaten a whole order myself, crispy and stuffed full of mildly spicy, flavorful minced chicken. Our curries were amazing. Like, I still think about them amazing. I don't live in Madison, but if I did, I'd eat here once a week.

Indian Tic-Tac Curry and Thai Coconut Curry-Hurry

I love this place! The Indian tic tac curry and Thai coconut curry were noted as one of the most popular items and I can see why! I would suggest ordering a higher spice level if you like spicy food (; Service was friendly! You order at the counter and they bring it out to wherever you're sitting. The ambiance inside is small but they have a lot of outdoor seating. I highly suggest sitting outside when it's nice out!

We've walked by this place many many times and never really paid attention to it until we saw some reviews so we decided to give it a try. Given it is a super tiny space we waited until summer to dine here at one of their outdoor tables. One problem with that idea was that on a hot sunny day their outdoor seating has no shade so we ended up eating inside (with minimum AC). Fortunately it was early and not too busy. You order at the counter. And I don't think they had any alcohol. I ordered the Korean BBQ pork bowl and my wife ordered the Korean chicken tacos. Both were big servings and very delicious. We noted that we should have ordered the Tibetan dumplings which everyone else had ordered and were prominently mentioned in other reviews. Next time. An interesting mainly Asian menu. My tastes are narrower than my wife's and she saw many other items to order on another visit. We will be back.

This place is BUSTLING! And for good reason. We ordered the Indian tic tac chicken and grilled Korean bbq with chicken. Both were delicious in their own right. I will say the spice level was quite high -- we did a 4/5. The burn felt good but perhaps a bit too high for us.

We went for a late lunch. The restaurant is small but it has outdoor seating. There were plenty of people taking out as well. The server seated us as well as took our order. The service was quick. The food was delicious. We were offered additional rice for our curries free of charge. I would recommend this for anyone interested in quick Asian fusion that tastes great.

I could eat here everyday lol it's that good !!! Great family own restaurant in the heart of madison! They are always so kind, caring, and diligent with each and every customer. I love coming here and telling people about it. I have had the afghan korma curry with chicken level 3 spicy and it's delicious every time ! Their indian tic- tac curry, cajun jambalaya, grilled korean bbq, chow mein noodles, and samosa's are few other favorites of ours. Great place to take out or dine in. They offer indoor and outdoor seating! Go check them out ! Tell em jessi sent you... and grab a Thai tea on the way out. (:

Such a neat experience here! we picked our own level of spice. We loved the nice slow building heat of the Korean BBQ. The spicy sauce around the Tibetan dumplings was surprising & worthy returning for!

Cozy little place with authentic dishes. I had the veggie bento box and the Thai coconut curry spice level 3. Very spicy but delicious. I will come back next time I'm in town.

Delightful cozy spot with a handful of indoor tables and counter seating, plus outdoor seating. The dumplings are to die for.

I got a cocktail and the 4-course. The cocktail tasted really smoky yet incredibly smooth. The fois gras mousse was kinda ok but also 4 small bites maximum. The salad proved that even basic vegetables can be perfected. The casonelli was one of my favorites dishes for sure. Extremely satisfying texture and flavor combinations. The pork collar was also pretty pretty solid with flavor combinations, and texture was a little chewy depending on how you cut it (in a good way). The dessert was not bad, to me it kinda reminded me of really fancy whipped cream on top of vanilla pudding. Would come back here again (if they weren't closing!)

We tried a range of dishes and some of the favorites included the lamb belly, the beet salad, and the duck breast. Many items were beautifully cooked, such as that duck and the octopus on top of the risotto. However, overall we felt that there were some missed opportunities for stronger flavors. There were many bites where I felt that everything was tasty but just missing the full flavor potential of such lovely ingredients. Service was perfectly fine and friendly and everything came fast once we ordered! I would certainly return for another visit and hope that this restaurant, which is clearly a community staple, takes some bolder flavor risks in the future!

My husband and I shared the marinated white beans on toast, cauliflower, oyster mushroom and pesto spaghetti. All were great and delicious! Least fav (although still tasty) may have been the cauliflower cuz it's fried and gets a little heavy but the raisins in the dish are a nice surprise and treat! Although tapas style, the portions are generous. You can taste how fresh the Ingredients are in each dish as well. The pesto was a flavor bomb of fresh basil and garlic! The drinks are also top notch with interesting ingredient that create a wonderful medley together. Highly recommend trying a few. They clearly take risks in the best way, and it often pays off. The only reason I can't give five stars is an ongoing issue with salt levels. On a few occasions, dishes haven't just been slightly over-seasoned, they've been overwhelmingly salty to the point of overpowering the flavor and, at times, bordering on inedible. And that's coming from someone who genuinely enjoys salty food. When they get the balance right, the food is exceptional. I just wish the seasoning were more consistent.

We were hoping for a little guidance or enthusiasm about the menu, but she never really talked about the food. When we asked what she recommended, her response was simply, "Snapper." Having worked in restaurants for most of my life, I know hospitality is about creating an experience. Bartenders are representing the restaurant and helping guests feel excited about the menu. If this were my restaurant, I would be disappointed by that level of service. The food itself was just okay. The presentation was beautiful and definitely deserving of five stars, but the flavor did not live up to how impressive it looked. After reading other Yelp reviews, we also realized a 20% gratuity had already been added for our party of two. We did not notice it at the time and tipped on top of it.
