I had ordered chicken strips and the tomato soup. The strips were hot and tasty. The tomato soup left a lot to be desired. It was very watery with no tomato chunks or any herbs that you could see or taste. The people sitting across from us didn't get what they ordered. For the price, I'd say if you don't have to be there, find somewhere else.

I like how the staff is dressed in traditional island shirts and again though thousands of miles apart its amazing how a few things can really transfer ones perception.

Food seems better than US standards with plenty of coffee, drinks, tea and a huge bar. Travel coordination at the entrance and a very international clientele. Best of the best is to be able to take a shower while you have a four hour layover. Individually shower suites are well stocked and very nice. Plenty of staff to keep things cleaned up.

The lounge is stunning. It's huge, bright, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer some great tarmac views. The decor was solid - I think I read the words "premium corporate" somewhere lol.. Vintage photography, some cool tree decor, blues, golds, etc... Overall a sophisticated and welcoming vibe. The service was definitely proactive and polished. From the warm greeting at reception to the attentive staff who are constantly clearing plate and restocking the buffet, I felt well looked after. A special shoutout to the shower suite attendants. The facilities were immaculate. I had been up all night trying to time my inner-clock & avoid jet lag, so the warm shower was perfect before my flight. The food was solid, but not terribly exciting. Given the reputation of this lounge, I was expecting a bit more variety, but was met with a standard English breakfast. There wasn't much in the way of elevated options, though it was tasty nonetheless. And the bar was beautiful, though nobody was really partaking given it was 6:30 in the morning. It started out okay'ish, but it went downhill pretty fast. Thankfully the company was great, and we were always engaged in conversation which made the 3 hour dinner go by pretty quick. The drinks were good. Okay, now for the worst of the review! :-) The amount of time it took to get the food, the excuses made, and the quality of the food was a problem. We were continually told that there was a problem with the oven, however this excuse should not have applied to the cold pecan tart I was served for dessert. Somehow, it was, and we did wait an hour alone for those cold desserts! I ordered the lamb steak.. which it was "Lamb", but thinner than the sole of my shoe. It was well done (not per order), but I doubt on something that thin you could even determine "rare, medium or well done". The other food ordered was of similar calibre, nothing to really write about, just generally bad. The waitress did give us two free bottles of water, I wonder when giving away water as a remedy for bad food and service became a standard, usually they comp a meal or something. Oh well, just another example why it was not a good restaurant. Oh, and it was expensive.

Air Canada Club: Good desserts but hot food was not good. At the SilverKris lounge expect Malaysian names and their signature very flavorful Laksa noodle soup. If you're not taking Singapore Airlines, the lounge might be nearly empty which is nice. This review includes photos of most of the food that was there. Lunch started at noon.

My wife and I tried the grilled chicken (peri-peri) and grilled octopus (porvo) and they both are prepared really good to my taste (we prefer a little bland or less salty and it just suits us). The main course were grilled salmon in lemon and butter sauce. This was really good in flavor and a hint of crispness from being grilled but the meat is tender. Then we had the grilled octpus. Man, this was the highlight of the day. Serving size was big. It was so good we ordered another for to go. This place is really close to the London Heathrow Airport and a must try if you're really hungry. They have their own parking spots (but really tight space, just like all of UK parking spaces where plus size people will have a hard time getting in/out of the car as the spaces between cars are really tight) They have paper towels in the restroom and some outdoor seating.
