Gulf Shrimp & grits

Oh boy these Ribs are perfectly falling off the bone juicy, savory with a wonderful hint of cherry. Pineapple carrot cake melted in your mouth, definitely don't skip dessert! Lobster hush puppies perfect to sop up the extra sauce. Corn cob missed the mark, mushy texture should have gone with a different side. Quick friendly service. Great location downtown Egg Harbor.

Came here for dinner and was not disappointed! It's a cute, homey space. The service was great. The food was amazing!!! We both were so full and very satisfied with our meal.

Butternut squash ravioli

Hubby and I had dinner here tonight. First, easy to get in for the two of us on a Monday night as the busy season is winding down. Reservation recommended if coming with a group larger than 4 during the busy season. The chef is from New Orleans, and does a great job combining creole southern flavors with midwest fare. Nice, quiet ambiance. Our waitress was great- friendly, quick service, knowledgeable on the menu and provided good recommendations. We also had the chocolate peanut butter cake-- but ate it before i could snap a pic!

Our first visit since they re-opened and moved a door or two down from their previous location. Food is still great! We went on a Sunday night after a 3:30 Packers game, so there were likely a few more people than usual showing up at the same time. There is a bar seating area and a bit more sedate dining area. Both are very casual. For this visit I got the Butternut Squash Ravioli, and my wife got the Shrimp and Grits that came with 7 shrimp. Both were fantastic...bold flavors and so, so, good. Service was OK; very enthusiastic, but a bit uneven when it came to timing. Overall, very good and glad they're back open regularly.

French Onion braised meatloaf

Everything we had were amazingly delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the amount we got. Started out with cheese curds very crispy outside and the Wasabi ranch sauce gave it a nice kick. The soup of the day was Chicken and vegetables. It was very filling and great to warm up as it is getting cooler at night in the fall season. Ended with the French onion braised meatloaf. It was stacked high with onion strings on top, next mashed potatoes, on top of meatloaf. There were pieces of breads all around that later soaked up the French onion soup. The meatloaf just fell apart very easily and melted in your mouth. My friends had the butternut squash ravioli. It is a lighter dish compared to the meatloaf. Fits very well with the fall season.

Beignets with dipping sauce

My wife and I were camping near Egg Harbor and walked by and saw some intriguing things on the menu, and it looked like a nice place, so we decided to stop back for dinner Monday night. We had a couple of nice drinks at the bar prior to being seated. The bartender and the owner chatted with us and were very friendly and helpful. We learned that the chef; her husband, was from New Orleans which explained some of the menu items. We shared an order of lasagna soup, which was creamy and delicious. I had the shrimp and cheese grits, which were awesome. My wife had the siracha salmon and risotto with asparagus and loved it. We ended with beignets; with sides of chocolate sauce and berry sauce for dipping. One order was 3 large beignets and they were better than the ones I had in New Orleans. We had a great time, our meals were excellent and everyone we spoke to was very friendly. Definitely going back to try some of the other items.

So happy we tried Fireside on a walk by which visiting Egg Harbor. We sat out front on the deck with the fire pits near by. Everything we had was delicious and authentic. Our waitress was thorough and gave great recommendations.

Everything about this place was amazing. From the service, to the food and the atmosphere. You get your moneys worth of food, taste was on point, great conversation from the servers who were very knowledgeable and friendly. They made my daughter and grandchildren feel seen. I appreciated this. The owner/chef is an awesome person as well. I say this because experience has proven, that happy employees are the result of exemplary leadership. Meeting him and watching how he stepped in to help serve showed that he cared about his people and this says a lot.

Shrimp and Grits

We came on a Monday to this fantastic restaurant. We were greeted and spoke to the Chef's wife (both are owners) and their daughter was our server. All were charming, helpful and informative. We opted to sit outside since it was so nice out. They have a very nice wine list with options for all. We started with the wildberry and feta salad. one of the best in my life. So well balanced and delicious. I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had the camel bolognese. yes thats right - camel. It tastes life beef and was delicious. The raviolis served with it were light and amazing. From start to finish a great meal and experience. This place is the real deal so give it a try.

Salmon and Parmesan risotto

Food was amazing! I had the sriracha Salman, absolutely superb! The service was excellent! Highly recommend!

Shrimp and grits

Drinks were good and the food was good for the most part. Hush puppies were dark on the outside almost overcooked. Shrimp and grits had really good flavor. I don't love shrimp all mixed in with the tails on and they were slightly over done. My husband had the lemon chicken with Risotto this was probably the least favorite but still good. He had a couple crunchy risotto and a really strong sweet taste. Prices were reasonable and staff were super friendly!

Pork belly confetti

We found this restaurant on Yelp while driving in Wisconsin lil peninsula. Nice restaurant, friendly staff n clean bathrooms. It was a Monday n most restaurants closed so we had very few choices. The salad n lobster/ andouille hush puppies were good. Chicken and waffle n pork belly confetti were ok. Nothing to brag about. But the best was the desert - 6 diff flavor mini cheesecakes . That was yummy.

I would definitely not go here with children. We made our reservation for 5:30, arrived at 5:15 per the restaurant and didn't actually eat until well after 6:00. We also ordered the option for the white fish boil (the kids meal and the adult option (as I was planning to share with my 9 month old) - both the kids meal and my meal were still Cajun. I'm guessing the actual Cajun option would have been spicier, but I could not share with my 9 month old and my 6 year old also struggled to eat her meal due to the spice level. I even confirmed on the phone prior to arriving due to some of the reviews I have seen about similar issues. The alcohol options were limited and overall for the price this meal was not worth it. I truly wanted to love and share a cool experience with my family and went away extremely disappointed

Their Canjun style seafood boil is heavily influenced with a Vietnamese flavors. Each order is packed in a big plastic bag (yah, I know). In addition to the seafood, the meal also include corn, potatoes and other items of your choice. We had a lunch special with the Thai Chili seasoning. Quite spicy but very flavorful. A bowl of rice came with the meal to soak up all the sauce. All were full and was told that if we were to dine outside our meals would come out faster, but I would have to come back inside to place orders. Took a picture of the menu, which other than what the protein was did not go into a description or what would come with the entree. Came back in with orders and was first told need card to put on hold then said, maybe just charge for entire ticket might work best. So that is what I did. The card machine also asks for the tip up front as well. Meals come out fried fish platter for two, which I was told was better deal for our two folks than ordering each separately really didn't come out any different then what they were getting if single order. Seabass was maybe 4 inches by 4 inches in size and the grits were not creamy like you would expect, but clumpy. Asparagus was thinner than a pencil and tasteless. My granddaughter's steak looked okay, but she had to cut it with a plastic fork and knife as none was provided for any of us and meals all came out on paper plates. Everyone except for the seabass order came with fries and we had to ask for ketchup and a squirt was added to the paper plates. No one came around to see how we were enjoying our meals or if we need any refills (husband had to go in and get a glass bottle of tap water for the table.) If the staff would have come around and checked on us they would have gotten an earful. I get now why they want you to pay ahead of time and not at the end of service because no one will becoming around to check on you and they want their money up front. I would not have tipped generously for what we were served and how we were not checked up upon. This place to the locals may be a gem, but to folks on vacation wanting a great meal and overall experience it was not. Over priced, lack of service from staff, not so great food and lack of indoor seating. If I could it would have been no stars.

Corinne was our friendly, attentive, and capable veteran server with 17 years experience here. Wife ordered their breaded grouper with mashed potatoes. It went for $39.95 and included a traditional French onion soup without cheese. I had their queen sized prime rib for $44.95 and it included a cherry spinach salad and rice pilaf. It was a nice medium rare as expected and it was all delicious and filling for both the wife and myself. The dishes were quite good values when considering the portion sizes and the quality of the mains and the sides. I also had a delightful Wisconsin Old Fashioned for a very reasonable $8.25!
