    Sesame crusted Tuna

Love this place! It's our "go to" supper club in Door County. We have been here probably 4-5 time and the food & service never disappoints. On this visit we started with a round of Old Fashions, had the esgargo as an appetizer, the Mushroom & artichoke soup and the sesame crusted Tuna. Finished with Key Lime pie which has an incredible crust.

Exceptional service, ambiance, and food! The menu is large and you can't go wrong with any dish. Seafood so fresh and steaks cooked perfectly. Portions are large and entrees come with a soup/salad and side. The servers are so nice and service is quick. It gives Wisconsin supper club vibes. A go to when in Door County.

We had a reservation for 6:45pm on a Friday night. We checked in and sat at the bar for 5 minutes when our buzzer rang. Our waitress was attentive and on top of everything. We started with the complimentary bread which was so good. Warm and soft! I ordered the chicken carbonara and my boyfriend ordered the cowboy steak. We both upgraded to the side Caesar salad. The salads were good. The carbonara was a very large portion but I thought it lacked flavor. It was $38 dollars and I thought that was very overpriced for the flavor. My boyfriend loved his steak. It was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor. The side of vegetables that come with the meals were also very good.

Came up to Door County on a whim to catch the last of the peak fall foliage. After a day of hiking I was in the mood for a nice steak. I am so happy to have stumbled upon Alexander's. I didn't have a reservation but I came right at opening and found a spot at the bar, good thing I did because this restaurant filled up SO fast. My bartender Ian was so lovely to chat with and handled the hordes of people expertly. The bar is full service. My fillet melted in my mouth and was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The potatoes are next level. The asparagus was such a nice addition, and the mushrooms were sautéed very well and not too saturated with butter. Ended up chatting with some friendly locals that shared their crab cakes with me-- which were also fantastic. Altogether had an absolutely wonderful dinner on a crisp and beautiful fall evening.

Very awkward experience... I was in the ladies restroom, I used the restroom and while I was washing my hands a young man walked in (an employee) but he didn't knock or say anything. I felt very uncomfortable but said "hello" and he said hi and proceeded to go into the stalls to put toilet paper in there. I told the hostess about my experience and she literally ignored me and asked if I had a reservation. Very awkward and somewhat rude. Not sure what else to say... I've been here multiple times before and the food has been great but this recent experience was very weird.

Delicious food, amazing service, and a delightful atmosphere! Be sure to make reservations as it fills up quickly. Our server Claudia was attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. She made the night extra memorable for us. My group adored the food. Our favorites included the blackened scallops, escargot, Oysters Rockefeller, wild mushroom ravioli, and sea bass special. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I can't wait to return.

My mom, cousin and I enjoyed an all you can eat Thanksgiving meal at Alexander's. As always the food was spectacular and the service on point. A plate full of deliciousness was brought out complete with turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes and green beans and seconds would be available if you so desired. Choice of a salad or soup was offered first. I mistakenly assumed the pie would be included (it was not) which was disappointing (but that's on me). What really shocked me was being charged for salad dressing!! I understand my being charged as I asked for crumbled blue cheese. I did not expect to pay for my mom's salad dressing too, especially when the salad was included with the meal.

We came in to celebrate a birthday and EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! We have been to a lot of restaurants and supper clubs and this place topped the list! Great service by Ericka! Compliments to the chef (another Happy Birthday!) and kitchen staff! Started with Thai chili shrimp. Had sea bass and mushroom ravioli. Finished with a bday carrot cake. We are pleased with quality, flavor, and served HOT! Great place! We will be back!

Expert service, cozy atmosphere, delicious elevated fare is what you'll find at Alexander's. The front entrance brings you into a lively, mood lit bar with plenty of bar and lounge seating. Recommend grabbing a Wisconsin old fashioned before your meal. The reservation desk is tucked across from the restrooms where you will get a tiny buzzer that will alert you when your table is ready. Alexander's is one of the finest dining experiences one can have in Door County! I loved the Saturday night special, tenderloin a la Oscar. It was cooked to perfection, with a lovely presentation of an edible flower and julianne vegetables. My husband enjoyed the ample king cut portion of prime rib. The service was exceptional with the support team consistently refilling beverages, clearing plates and the waiter checking in on our comfort. An excellent date spot or to gather with a group for an elevated night out.

Alexander's is just a great experience from the moment you arrive. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks are a great pour and the food is always fantastic. We love their version and presentation of the escargot. The soups are also always outstanding. I'm partial to the chicken or pork prepared Chloe style--it's a rich but balanced creamy mushroom sauce and my husband loves the filet mignon, Oscar style. Do yourself a favor and make sure that Alexander's is in your rotation.

This place is amazing. I haven't been here is a VERY long time. So long ago- it was their old location. They were packed on entry and were goi g to have us wait a minute for our reservation. They noticed someone in our party that was old/walker/ difficulty standing and they immediately seated upon seeing this. So kind and thoughtful. They didn't need to do this. Drink menu was great. Love the cocktail choices and they were really reasonable with pricing. Dinner- the walleye was fantastic and all the sides with it. Everyone else in the party loved their entrees too. In short, everything was off the rails - amazing. So good! We ordered three deserts too. I probably would not order the tiramisu again bc it was too sweet (yet I ate it all). Service was so kind and professional and the food was awesome. Pricing was pretty good too! A repeater for sure.

Great food and service. We had the artichoke dip, swordfish special. Finished it off with a chocolate cake.

We went to Alexander's for the first time and it was an okay experience. Our soup was good, my husband enjoyed his steak and the dessert was pretty good. I got the Chicken Broccoli Penne and was very underwhelmed. It was quite flavorless and honestly just seems like buttered noodles with broccoli. I would not recommend this meal.

Rude female manager. They don't honor their website advertising. We were very disappointed for our Easter experience this year.

With high hopes I began my dining experience at Chop, but my hopes were dashed by the conclusion of…read morethe meal. Dined on a Saturday. Arrived just at opening and was seated promptly. Had I arrived any later, I would have had to wait for a table, which would have been terrible. There is no good space to sit and wait for a table; the bar is tiny; the bar abuts the front door, and is consequently very cold in winter; the tiny, cold bar is filled with patrons standing around waiting for a table. My darling wife and I were seated in the second floor dining room. The room was clean, and the atmosphere was decent... when the room was at-and-below 25% capacity. As the room began to fill, which didn't take long, it also didn't take long to realize that the layout of tables was poor. My table was far too close to the other tables; every table was too close to other tables. There is also no barrier in between tables. So, a large room, crammed with tables, each of which is too close to the other tables. Not great at all. And, thanks to the cramped quarters, I could smell the vile cheese smells from other diner's dishes which wrecked my experience. We ordered crab cakes. They were crispy outside, and the crab filling was moist, but there was so little lemon-garlic aioli that the cakes were rather bland. Furthermore, there were only two crab cakes serves, each of which was rather small. Drink orders placed with the waitress took a very long time to reach the table. The brandy old fashioned (sweet) that I ordered was not sweet at all and there was an overpowering amount of orange. A failure of this sort should not happen at a Wisconsin fine-dining establishment. The house Chop Salad was boring; a bunch of iceberg lettuce, too finely chopped, covered in ranch dressing, and lackluster bacon. My wife's filet mignon steak was appropriately prepared. The crispy duck, which I ordered, was served with a delicious cherry sauce but there was far too little sauce on the plate. The duck itself, when not coupled with any sauce, was rather boring. Also terribly boring was the bed of wild rice served with the duck. Why did you give me the duck's food? Feed that stuff to the duck and let me eat the bird served with a better side dish! Service was too slow and inattentive for my tastes. Every server looked like they were born in a foreign land, and I struggled to understand my waitress's English-as-a-second language. I don't need to go back. There is better dining available in Door County, especially given the prices asked.
