Wow! I already need to find an excuse to visit this cute modern pizza place again!…read more All the staff were very friendly. We sat outside with our kids but inside was very clean and modern. We had cocktails and they were refreshing! The wait list for a table went fast, they told us 30 minutes but was more like 15 minutes. The crust was fantastic magical. If a pizza can feel light and delicious this is it. Sauce was fresh and tasted great! I need to go back!

I visited this past weekend over the 4th and unfortunately had a really concerning experience with…read morewhat was supposed to be a gluten-free meal. I ordered the gluten-free Rosso pizza and specifically confirmed with my server that I was gluten free. At one point, the kitchen initially brought over my pizza, and when I double checked, they told me it was NOT gluten free. Their team then took it back to the kitchen to remake with a gluten free crust. After that, my dad and fiancé received their regular pizzas while mine took another 30 or so minutes to come out. They eventually stopped eating so I wouldn't have to eat my food alone, and by then their food was cold. There were also several other order issues during the meal, including the wrong salad being brought to our table after another long wait, which is not a huge deal (it was a holiday weekend and they were busy) but it felt like our entire order was miscommunicated. What led me to write this review is I'm quite certain that the "gluten-free" pizza I was ultimately served was not actually gluten free. For the next few days after eating it, I became very sick with symptoms consistent with gluten exposure, and it honestly impacted the remainder of my time in door county. What especially raised concern for me was that our server later sent us home with another gluten-free Rosso pizza as an apology for the wait times and order mix ups, and it looked dramatically different from the pizza I had just been served. The crust, texture, and overall appearance were completely different, which made me increasingly worried I had been served the wrong order. The "gluten free" pizza I had been served (in the image attached) looks identical to my dad's regular pizza (plate behind it) and nothing like the other GF pizza crusts in the reviews. I did notice this when our server finally brought over my pizza however she did confirm it was gluten-free. I understand restaurants get busy especially over holidays and mistakes happen, and I'm not trying to be harsh or accusatory. But for customers with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, this is a serious health issue, not a preference. I really hope the restaurant takes a closer look at its gluten-free procedures and communication between the kitchen and servers, because this experience was really disappointing. Inland also does not have an email posted on their website nor can you leave a message when calling, when I tried to discuss with them directly.

Fortunately, we had reservations, but they were turning people away w/o them. Tried different martinis that night - French, Sunburnt, and the Raspberry. They were all good / refreshing. Don't worry - they weren't all for me! For our meals - we got the Stuffed Shrimp and the Chiopini. For both - we upgraded our salad to the Caesar - which was quite worth it. The Stuffed Shrimp was six large shrimp filled with a blend of snow and lump crab meat, baked and finished with a lemon tarragon beurre blancsauce. It was so wonderful - especially the sauce which was a great pair for the bread. It came with a Vegetable Blend of julienne carrots, green beans, along with red & yellow peppers, sautéed with sesame oil. Also - Au Gratin Potatoes with Smoked Swiss & provolone. I actually loved the green beans side and the potatoes in my shrimp/crab sauce was fabulous! My husband's dish was Lobster, fresh scallops and shrimp sautéed with garlic, artichoke hearts, fresh basil and chef's tomatoes, tossed with egg fettuccine in a spicy tomato white wine sauce and topped with Italian cheeses. I didn't try it, but he loved it! He felt there was an abundance of seafood - to the point where he almost couldn't finish it all. He thought it was one of the highlights of our trip. There was zero room for dessert after all this. It was a fabulous meal that I would recommend. Also - kudos to the woman maitre d who handled the entire front of the house. She did a wonderful job of coordinating a full bar of people trying to get in. She was much calmer than I could have been!

We stopped in without a reservation and were told it would be about a 20-minute wait. They gave us a pager so we could wander around a bit, and the wait ended up being very manageable. There's also a full bar, and you definitely get the feeling this is a neighborhood kind of place -- we noticed quite a few regulars being greeted while we were there, which is always nice to see. My husband and I both ordered the fish and chips, and they were very good. The atmosphere is definitely casual rather than fancy, so come as you are and relax. It was extremely windy the day we visited, so the large garage-style doors were closed. I imagine having those open on a beautiful Door County day would completely change the feel of the restaurant. Overall, we had a perfectly nice experience. The food was good and the restaurant had a friendly, local feel. With so many restaurants to explore in Door County, I'm not sure it would be at the top of my list for a return visit, but I'm glad we gave it a try.

Slow service & unapologetic staff. Skip it…read more Was seated 15+ minutes after our reservation, even though there seemed to be adequate staffing and many open tables. Food was good, bartender (ahead of being seated) was great, atmosphere was good. Service was SLOW and inattentive. There were multiple times where we waited 10-20 minutes with no food or drink in front of us. No one ever followed up for additional drink orders outside of the first. After about 1 hour & 10 minutes, I flagged down a bus boy and asked them to find out why we still hadn't gotten the main course. They said we were behind a big table and it should be about 5 minutes. 5 minutes later I flagged down my waiter and asked what was up. I was told that it was my fault for asking for our focaccia, appetizer, and main course to be spaced out. (the only options that were given were to have all items at once or spaced out) At this point I asked for a manager. The manager (owner) came out hot, acting like the soup guy from Seinfeld. He had the waiter repeat what she told to me earlier and when I tried to interject, told me to stop and listen to her. I reiterated that at this point we'd been there for over an hour after being seated (late) (also at this point it was almost and hour and a half since being seated) and that it was unacceptable to still not have been served the main course, whatever their excuse was. There were at least 3 servers, and not over 20 tables in the entire place. Instead of offering anything at all to make up for it, acknowledging any of the issues, or least of all apologizing, the owner told the waiter to "get us out of here". The waiter wound up bringing the entree in a bag and the check (including the entree) to us. I had to demand I wasn't, at all, paying for the entree in order to get it removed from the bill. (I left it on the table) The bottom line is that, the entree could've been the tastiest dish in the world, but this place doesn't deserve your patronage.

We selected this place for my birthday breakfast because of the vegan and gluten free menu options available. Upon arrival however, we're quite disappointed to find out the menu online was not what they had available. Thus there was only one option available that was safe for my son. What we did end up ordering was great and fresh. We made adaptations to accommodate our dietary needs and it was still delicious. My final complaint is that our waitress was off putting. It felt like we were doing everything wrong (made reservations that don't matter apparently, looked at the wrong menu online, clarified that a menu item was dairy free, etc.). She was condescending and it was quite uncomfortable to relax and enjoy. Food gets a 4 (would have been a 5 if their menu was more inclusive), service gets a 2. Landing at a 3.
