Our service was terrific as was the food. I ordered the beet salad special which was incredible + chicken. I'd been craving mashed potatoes and they truly hit the spot. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the scallop special and it was yummmmm! Scallops melted in your mouth. I was too full to finish and ended up taking leftovers home (which made a lovely 2AM snack after Hill St.) Make sure this place is on your list while visiting DC. Will definitely return.

Everyone enjoyed their time on the patio seeing the boil itself before going in to enjoy the outcome. My husband immediately said that it was the best fish he'd ever had, and was shocked that it needed no extra seasonings or sauces. The salt that was used and the cooking process itself brought out incredible flavors in the fish and sides. The owner takes so much pride in his work and is excellent interacting with his guests! There is a lot of indoor/outdoor seating but you should call to make a reservation and get your name on the list! You have to get there about 45 minutes early before "the show" to get your ticket, which is no issue. There is also an option to choose from over a dozen other entrees if you're not interested in seafood (I saw a vegetarian option too), as well as a kids menu. The non-alcoholic beverages are included in the ticket but there is an option to purchase local and big name beers as well. The cherry pie at the end is the chef's kiss! It was such a perfect addition to our trip, even people who brought toddlers had a fun time with their kids. We'll come back to this fish boil every time we visit Door County!

The master boiler has been doing this for over 40 years so it must be a great place to work! That says a lot for a business these days. Dining options are indoors or outdoors, and we opted for outdoors the bread was a little disappointing as it was just sliced bread and not rolls. It includes a soft drink, which is a nice touch and of course, the cherry pie. It would be nice if there was seasoning on the table is a little bland.

The Inn itself could really use an update. It's stuck in the 90s, and not in a charming way. Everyone who worked there was nice. I think we'd return to have dinner, but I wouldn't stay here again (despite the really good cookies you get).

The prices for the cocktails and basic fish dishes are in line. But charging $12 for buttered noodles or a grilled cheese (from the "smaller appetites" (aka children's) menu) seems like a bit of extortion of families with picky eaters. There's also not light or small salad options, which would be a nice addition to the menu.

We waved them down, we said excuse me, we were literally invisible to them. I couldn't believe it! One bartender was just standing in the corner on her phone and eating, when we had someone without a drink and two people with empty drink. Now I'm a bartended myself and you'll never find me eating with patrons at the bar and people with empty drinks or no drinks at all. I had planned to stay here for a few hours and drink a couple rounds, but that was nearly impossible. We left immediately and I've never not tipped before but it was truly unbelievable. Went to Hill Street across the street after and thank god we did! The bartender there said he's tried to go to the Bayside on multiple occasions and never had good treatment. Sad to see a place a loved so much become a place that if you aren't a regular you don't exist.
