    Old fashion. Just perfect!

This place is extraordinary. Fresh and well balanced recipes. Everything we had on the menu was uniquely delicious. From food, drinks & deserts. Service is exemplary. People are nice, attentive and they make sure everyone's comfortable. A little professional insight: not only that the restaurant is really clean, but their kitchen is the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen! So it's safe to say that it's not only a delicious place to dine out, but a restaurant with a high quality service overall. I'm looking forward to my next weekend out there.

Came here for my wife's birthday. Great food. Awesome view. The scallops were amazing, some of the best she has ever had.

Excellent food. Great dinner place. Try the perch and crab cake special on Friday and the enchiladas special on Tuesdays.

Didn't eat here because we had plans but enjoyed the drinks and beautiful views. Staff was friendly. Menu looked great. Lots of locals here.

This place gets super busy on Memorial Day weekend but they do a great job ensuring that they are fully staffed and can churn out food and drinks quickly. We ordered the 8 ounce New York strip plus CHOP steak salad (but make it Caesar). We both got cups of soup (lobster and crab bisque or garlic potato) which were incredible. Paired with a delicious cherry sour and an old fashioned. Exactly what we wanted after a good day of exploring. Make sure to go between 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM to get their $34.95 three course dinner special (soup or salad, main, and dessert).

Service staff is always top notch. Last year we ate a later dinner inside and the ambiance was wonderful. Old school steakhouse feel with big leather seats and candle lights. It's was great. They serve a great Kentucky Old Fashioned. Nice way to kick off a great meal. The entrees and apps are all very tasty, especially the fresh salads, soups, scallops, and crabcakes. The wine list is on the pricey side, we opted for a carafe of house Italian red blend and it paired very nicely with the filets and my wallet. Don't skip the dessert. Carrot cake and key lime pie were both amazing. Only disappointing notes this year were the mashed potatoes. They had a box mashed potatoes aftertaste, not the usual Yukon gold I remember. Not sure what was going on there but it stood out. Also, we were on the upper deck again, but it felt like there was one too many tables out there. Tough to maneuver around, needed just a bit more breathing room. Otherwise, still a wonderful meal.

I also loved that you order ahead. We ordered the shrimp and corn, thinking that was basically what we were getting, but there was SO much more food than we expected! It also came with white potatoes, sweet potatoes, onion, mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, celery, and cornbread. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the portions were incredibly generous. We skipped the cherry pie, and the only reason I'm glad we did is because we were completely stuffed by the end of dinner! Such a great meal and a really memorable experience!

The atmosphere was very nice and had a more upscale, higher-class feel than I was expecting. We tried the baked chicken, fish boil, and BBQ ribs. The ribs were tasty and probably my favorite of the three. The fish boil came with nice chunky pieces of whitefish along with potatoes, onions, corn on the cob, sausage, celery, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and garlic. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of having the fish served in the broth/soup, but that's more of a personal preference than a knock on the quality of the food. The baked chicken was also prepared well. They offer the fish boil daily with seatings at 5:30 and 7:30, which makes for a unique Door County dining experience. Overall, good food, a nice atmosphere, and something different to try while visiting Door County. The ribs were definitely a standout for me. Thank You

There's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy, but they have lovely indoor seating as well. That takes you back and makes you feel like you are in someone's quaint little home! We loved hearing the history behind the fish boil and watching it come to life at the Old Post Office Restaurant! The dinner and experience was very reasonably priced at $30 per person and they offer options of fried chicken or ribs for those that don't care for fish. I'm (personally) not a big fish lover but I had to at least try it and it wasn't too bad! Dinner is also served with 3 different types of bread and a slice of delicious cherry pie! (Cherries are grown all over the peninsula). We sat outside on the front porch and watched the sun slowly set and the sky fill up with brilliant colors as we finished our dinner. I left with both my belly and heart as full as possible! We enjoyed the restaurant so much that I wanted to stop by on our way out of town, the last day, and try out their breakfast menu. I splurged and ordered the fresh cherry pancakes with a side of one egg and bacon. I planned to just eat half of my pancakes but I almost devoured them completely! My mouth is watering - several days later - as I am thinking about them and writing this review. I highly recommend the Old Post Office if you are in the area. Unfortunately you have to call the restaurant to make reservations but it's definitely worth the little bit of extra effort.
