It is not there. Unfortunately I called and this place does not exist and so somebody answered the phone but they do not have a bakery.

Many of their pastries lean toward fruity and nutty flavors, which isn't what I tend to crave; however, what brings the fifth star are their dine in brunch and dinner menus. Nonna Mercato is the only place that I know of in Long Beach where one can get a great French omelette for brunch. They also have outstanding handmade pastas with rich sauces. I ordered a delicious house made gnochetti pasta with a sauce that was fortified with nduja sausage, broccoli rabe, garlic, and tomato. There were some additional umami flavors in the savory sauce and the handmade gnochetti are amazing. Was tempted to take some fresh spaghetti home, but I'll be back later this week to pick some up!

They advertise freshness, organic, homemade but I didn't quite feel any of it. The portions are smaller than you'd expect and although they were small we didn't even finish it because it wasn't that good. Another thing was it was a pretty hot day and we were not offered inside seats. We sat outside in the front patio, there are no fans and we came out with many mosquito bites!! Our server was nice, we didn't really stick around long enough.

Service was quick and we were allowed to try flavors. I ultimately got vanilla on a cone (basic I know) but enjoyed every bite of it! It has an interesting texture, almost like marshmallow? Anyways it was a great treat! Also got blue dream and kiwi. We'll be back!

Unfortunately, our experience with the staff really left a sour taste in our mouths. The server helping us seemed bothered when we asked if we could sample something before purchasing and kept making comments about us asking to try the products. "If I give everyone a sample then what? No business" ... LOOL WHAT? My fiance was genuinely trying to pick something out and wanted to sample a flavor before deciding, but the staff member completely ignored him and made us feel unwelcome. We had every intention of purchasing a good amount to take home, but because of the attitude and lack of hospitality, we ended up only getting a couple of pieces and leaving. (I regret spending any money here) The products and ambiance were lovely, but customer service really matters, especially when you're trying to support a business. We left disappointed because this could have been such a nice experience.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good option for French-inspired eats in downtown LB…read more The hubby and I decided to stop in for brunch since we were in the area for the World Cup watch party. We'd been here a couple of times before, but only for drinks. The interior is quaint, with pretty typical Francophilic touches (pics of Parisian landmarks, etc). I decided on the Fit crepe, which is a buckwheat crepe filled with spinach and feta. Delicious, but the crepe was a bit dry around the edges. The drip coffee I got was great, however, and the hubby enjoyed his Veggie hash. Friendly service from the two servers, but they seemed a bit stretched--maybe it was more crowded than usual due to the watch party?

Not a super huge fan of French cuisine; however, the menu looked good and mostly reasonable prices. Restaurant is super cute with indoor/outdoor seating. We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! It was noted as a different brand on their menu and they came with a bottle of Josh Cellars which isn't a bad table wine but about 3 times the price! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. Very comfy and charming atmosphere.

We sat on the patio where the ambiance was idea since they have a motorized patio louver system that they can control the dining atmosphere. We started off with a bottle of chardonnay and ordered appetizers of crispy fried cauliflower, spicy salami pizza made in their wood fired oven and bufala ricotta toast. We followed with salad with anchovies and three different in pasta entrees, a 32 oz dry aged tomahawk and a 14 oz prime ribeye. The tomahawk included an arugula salad and fingering potatoes. We dined family style and everything was delicious. We ended with desserts of chocolate olive cake, burnt Basque cheesecake and vanilla soft serve gelato. Service was exceptional from the entire staff. I definitely recommend Marlena for your special event or for a wonderful dining experience.

The service was very good and the food for the most part was excellent. We had the olives and blanco bread as an appetizer. The bread was fresh made and came out hot straight out of the oven. The olives were marinade in fennel pollen and orange. I couldn't get enough of them. We shared a beat salad that was very tasty and my wife had the rack of lamb which was delicious. I will say that I did not enjoy my main course of Porchetta. I felt like it had good flavor, but it wasn't cooked well and the center where the pork belly was supposed to be tender and melting was very tough, chewy and inedible to me. Despite this one dish I really liked the restaurant and I am eager to go back and try something different.
