Very fun, friendly neighborhood bar. Great vibe upon walking and music was a blast, just make you want to move the body and just have good time. Drinks are good and bartenders are very cool and friendly. It's small but cozy and you can just chat with people around you. Parking will be tough to find so good luck.

Came here on a Friday night to watch RuPaul and had a great time! We sat down at the bar and were immediately asked by the bartender (who was very sweet!) if we wanted drinks. Almost everyone was watching RuPaul and the ambience felt very inviting and made watching the show even better! There weren't too many seats but people go in and out as they go bar hopping . Overall I enjoyed my time here and would definitely come again.

Fantastic atmosphere and friendly bar service. Restrooms were all gender friendly, yet still clean (sorry boys, but y'all a mess sometimes!). Fun throwback music - shoutout to Britney, bisshhh! We came here early after spending the night on The Queen Mary and sincerely enjoyed our bloody Mary's to keep the theme up to par with Halloween.

Nice bar I went to grab a drink with friends! The bartender was nice & friendly. It was my birthday so we went lgbtq bar hopping. The drink was really good & the music was great too!

Micro minuscule bar serving standard alcoholic libations, but don't let that fool you into skipping out on this joint. Good placement & organization maximizes the efficient use of space along with mirrors that fool the eye into seeing more depth. Sunday afternoon is festive & loud since the speakers are pumping. Friendly vibe & manageable crowd. People here seem to want to hang out & be social. Only two bar-t's at the beginning, but an outgoing, vivacious Trans or Drag Queen radiating charm filled the room w/ her presence and proceeded to pour drinks while dishing Gay repartee to her patrons. (Sorry, don't want to offend in assuming perceived orientation.) She even joined us so we could do a group pic. She's cool & fun, setting the mood of the place to be playful, spontaneous, let down your hair & be yourself. I should have caught her name, but she's the one w/ the BIG Hair. Kudos to a truly colourful, kind personality. Management should give her a raise. 4 Yelp stars for being the most friendly bar on Gay Broadway in Long Beach. PS Not Falcon's fault, but street parking is scarce throughout this area. Be prepared to wander around the side streets to snag a parking space. It reminds me of trying to find parking in the Castro, SFO.

This is classified as a gay bar and as a dive bar, and as a Western inspired bar. I say the last…read moreitem because it is a makeshift saloon adorned with swinging doors like cowboys of yesteryears passed through, both while coming and going. There is no way to identify the true identity of this bar, and I rather not try to define it. I recognize that people are no longer one chief identity, they are intersectional beings whose personhood is a sum of varied identities and thus there is no one size fits all label that any one person can adopt. I would like to think that this bar's value is that it is a sum of its many identities and when I tally these in sum I recognize this bar is mostly a great hangout place. In short, it is an awesome place! When i was in college, I used to go to the campus library. And there were these fellow students who piled on empty coffee cups on top of each other. This is to communicate to others how much time they have spent in the library. Strange to flex study time, but, people flex different things--- I can imagine a person flexing a perfect scarf, just red enough to complete their Snowman (or Snowperson?). And in this place, I saw shot glasses piled four tall. What were they flexing? Their right to party hard and correctly? Probably, or probably not. Again, I only celebrate the different peacock tail wings that others proudly fan. Parking was scarce. My friend Conrad and I had to turn on several streets to get lucky. This might indicate that this bar is for locals, but also Long Beach is known for its lack of parking. I am glad we looked for parking and found it. But also the turns we took to get lucky were not many, the whole experience lasted less than 15 minutes that is average parking space finding time. Conrad and I went to SweetWater Saloon to play pool. They have two tables and both were free. I met the first bartender who explain these facts. Yet still he asked me to buy a drink. I got a pineapple and vodka, it was on special, or more precisely, the well drinks were. What kind of irked me a little, was that Conrad also needed to buy drinks and he does not enjoy alcohol, so we needed to get him a soda. Bars by design are free to enter. Not everyone who enters has the capacity to pay for a drink (as we all know times can be hard) or wants to drink that night or may be abstaining, etc. So the policy to buy a drink in order to play pool for free is problematic, but I can see their side, but I do not think it holds water. I did meet a couple-- a guy and a girl. We started to take shots together. The shots were White Gummy Bear shots, and they were delicious. I highly recommend. The three of us started to play pool while we enjoyed shots (we did not stack the empties). And eventually, fun and engaging conversation ensued. Conrad waited on the side, I and the other two chatted. We forgot about the game. We were not taking pool shots. We just gabbed. Finally a patron came, and asked if we were still playing. Of course we are, I explained. It was not my turn, but I took a pool shot. I immediately sank the eight ball. The universe helped me with the joke. I am a bad shot, but the eight ball was aligned to a pocket, I made the shot easily. Good laughs were hard. I tell this story to highlight that this bar has people to chat and play with, and has pool, and it has regulars. If you are looking to meet friends for the night or for a lifetime this bar offers the opportunity, as long as you try, not all people do. The bar further has games to enjoy like Yahtzee and Uno. It also has tvs and jukeboxes. Meaning it has ample goods for all those looking for merry. It also accepts cash, which can be a drag. The bar also has strings of pride flags but not much else decoration. A second bartender and I got into a spirited debate. I wondered if this was a gay bar? And he pointed to the flags hanging on the walls. And I thought, I recently went to a bar with Halloween decorations, this does not make it a spooky bar it only makes it Halloween friendly. The fact that the bar has flags hanging, and almost nothing else, does not make it a gay bar. The bartender explained that it was in an area of Long Beach with great Pride, and next to an intersection with a paved walkway colored rainbow. I did not want to get annoyed. Just because a tailor is in Chinatown does not mean that he celebrates Lunar New Year. Meaning, that a space can certainly define a spot within its territory be but not always. I did not say this to the bartender. I share this to clear up any believe that this is a queered space. It is queer welcoming, but it is not a rainbow laced environment where queer people dominate. I really believe it is bar for all that are looking for a good time. I will go here again, looking for the same and there is enough here to help me find it.

This visit, it was a little more lively and a mixed crowd. The music sucked whoever was in charge as it kept skipping and changing constantly. Not consistent whatsoever. It could be coming from the jukebox right at the front. People were out for drinks which it was pretty lively. Of course as it's also a dive bar with a pool table, people were having fun. The place was chill as most bar in Long Beach are. Nothing stuck up here with pretentious people. Everyone is here for the same thing, a dive bar and drinks. There was actually more than one bartender this time. Normally it's one who was taking care of everyone. And a mixed crowd, people all having fun. It's bigger than the other one we just came from But did notice some other guest from the previous bar doing the same thing we were, bar hopping. There's a decent amount of seating along the bar counter. Hi top tables along the front and entrance. Some in the back area as well and the main seating area thats along the other wall with a built in seating. Great for people watching and viewing the game of pool that's right in front of you. I think there's two pool tables. It's a simple fun place where you guessed it, all the locals and regulars visit. They do have happy hour which we found out a while back. Same as all the other bars along the area, it's street parking. I don't know if it's a regular thing but out front was a taco stand getting ready for the night. Beer and tacos, match made in heaven.

My partner went to go use the restroom before we were going to leave but the only one open was the one that doesn't have a lock. It's got one toilet with no stall and some urinals in there, my partner and I are both trans so he asked me if I could just wait by the door to make sure no one walked in. One of the waiters came up so I just told him someone was in there. He literally gave me a dirty look before asking if it was a girl in there. He then shouted over the door asking if they were done. My partner said "Almost" but he reached for the handle opening the door into me to shuffle me out of the way anyways while saying "Well I work here." he barged into the bathroom while my partner was still inside but he at least wasn't indecent by this point. I was so mad, we left right after and I'm never going back. No part of that was okay he mentioned something about his shift almost being over to my partner while he was in the bathroom but that's no excuse to be so unbelievably rude in a place that's supposed to be inclusive. I will not be back and I hope no one else ever feels that disregarded by this waiter again. I don't really write negative reviews because all jobs come with their stress but this bothered me on a bare basic human decency level.

Normally on a Wednesday night or a Sunday as it was karaoke. The fun nights were had way back when. It's still the same fun old place but with a little revamp from the early 2000 when it was a frequent place with the college kids for drinks and karaoke. The crowd from the coffee shop down the street would end their nights here with cocktails and singing. A fun neighborhood dive bar. There's still security at the front checking ID's. Seems like regardless whatever your age is, they ask. Inside you have the retro fun vibe. Of course everyone is there for the same reason, a fun night. Bar is right when you walk in. Normally there's two bartenders on the busy nights but often you just see one. Inside has a good amount of seating but outside patio seating seemed to be alway lively. There's loads of seating out there. The fun twinkling lights and nice lush plants gives it a cool tropical feel hidden in Long Beach. I did notice a lot of people bringing food in especially pizza which was from across the street. Didn't know you could Uber Eats things here but clearly you can. Dinks is always good from my experience. Reasonable price which brings the crowd in. The only thing that sucks, the restroom situation. There's two on either side which does get pretty busy with a line as it's one per person and it's alway dirty. Don't know if anyone goes in there to clean during the nightly hours. Overall, the crowd is alway fun and lively. The last two times I've been I did noticed that it's still the college crew crowd as when I used to come in the early 2000. A more younger crowd, somewhat hipsters vibe. Depending on what day you visit, there's some kind of something going in. It's a fun dive bar that's alway fun for drink. Very casual.

I went for the show and wasn't expecting much from the food, and I was totally fine with that. But the burger and fries were actually really good. For a venue that clearly draws large crowds and sells tickets in advance, we expected a more organized and professional level of service. There were only two bartenders handling a packed bar, making drinks one at a time while also trying to support wait staff. The result was long waits and visible strain on the team. It also seemed like there weren't enough servers or kitchen staff to keep up with the volume. It took quite a while just to have our order taken--and significantly longer for the food to arrive. When it finally did, two of our four meals were incorrect, and one didn't come out until the rest of us were nearly finished eating. While we understand that busy shows can be challenging, advance ticket sales should give management a clear idea of how to properly staff each show. We also felt it was inappropriate for our server to attribute order mistakes to hearing difficulties, especially when it impacted accuracy and the overall experience. We came to celebrate a meaningful milestone together, and it was disappointing that service issues overshadowed what should have been a special brunch. Its a good thing the music was great and the girls were entertaining

Every dish came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The Calamari S&P was crispy and seasoned perfectly, the Crab Rangoon had a great crunch with a creamy filling, and the Seafood Medley was packed with seafood and had just the right level of spice and leftover sauce for the white rice on the side. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people.
