WOOOOOW...This was my very first drag brunch and I am so glad my group and I went with HMLB! In order to get tickets my group and I went online to secure our seat; we got VIP to secure good seating and I am glad we did (loved the Brunchettes)!! The area is such a cute downtown area with lots of surrounding shops that you can walk around and enjoy. Our tickets instructed us to arrive at 12:45pm but we didn't enter the restaurant until 1:10pm since there was only one server (he did amazing). With the experience, the "wait" was forgotten! Once the performance started my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Prepare your cash for the performers if you plan on coming because they go all out to prepare for the show and their appearances. Drinks and food were amazing and the show was a 10/10- I will be coming back for sure!

    Very Delta's 50th Birthday at Hamburger Mary's !

I've been here twice since my first/last visit and each time it's been great. The staff are all hard working and super nice. We were working the 50th Birthday Party for Delta Work and I saw the staff hustling and cranking out orders to the sold out crowd. Jenny was super nice and answered any questions we had and one of the other servers with the green hair was really helpful and let us know everything on the menu is good but not so much the chicken tenders. We parked at the structure behind the venue and were there from 5 pm until almost 1 am and paid $12 total. The structure only takes card, it does not accept cash, Apple Pay or Google...wallet? Jewels was seriously such a great host and very kind and made us feel like we were family. Hamburger Mary's LB is a vibe. If you're able to catch one of the famous queens or not so famous queens, just do it because it's always a fun time.

I now have been here for a weekend drag brunch and for one of their Wednesday events (they had Lydia b kollins) Honestly this place is amazing. I have never been so happy to be gay than when I get a chance to come here. Their bottomless mimosas is so worth it and they refill them quick. Their food is a tad bit pricy but honestly it's all worth it. I can't wait to keep coming back here to support our local queens and hamburger Mary's!

The whole EXPERIENCE from start to finish. I went to the bank to get my dollar, but they do it for you there too. You can taste the liquor in your drink, no water down stuff.

My friend and I spontaneously stopped by Hamburger Mary's as we were looking to bar-hop on Pine Ave. Upon arrival there was a cover fee of $20 per person. After showing our ID we entered and made our way to the bar. We ended up ordering a few drinks and the bartender also gave me one on the house. Needless to say, we definitely had a blast that night. We danced the night away with the robot and ended leaving a little before closing. I had a great experience here and would come back for a fun night out.

My food and drinks were good. Basic and filling. It was a fun busy night. This night was a special performance with $8 cover charge. CASH ONLY! The service was the best it could be for the staff they had on. I enjoy this place often and come back regularly. I have seen many shows in different seating areas. I don't recommend the back wall behind DJ booth. You have an obstructed view sadly. For an older building the bathrooms are good. They have seat covers, thank you. Unisex restrooms also. They have an ATM in case you didn't bring cash. Fun place to meet up with friends or meet new people.

Hamburger Mary's is the best!! The food is yummy but expensive, so be prepared. You'll spend just as much going out for a night elsewhere, with a lot less fun involved... go support your local queens and remember to bring some cash! Someone will come around to change bigger bills to 1's. Let loose and have the best time!!

I really love this spot! Let's just say though, you don't really come for the food. You come for the entertainment. Food - the burgers were alright and the appetizers aren't really anything to scoff over (and they're all fried). They are helpful when you want something to snack on during a show Service - AMAZING! I really love the people working here. From the servers, the staff, performers, all are really great! Ambiance - A no-nonsense, no-judging space. Good vibes only. I brought my mom in for her first drag show and we did the Mother's Day lunch. The performers were awesome and my mom said she definitely wanted to come back again. Tipping for the performers is cash only, but no fret. If you didn't bring any cash bills, they have staff members with plenty and you can pay them for exchange. Although we did make a reservation, we still waited outside for about 30 min or so to start entering the venue. They were probably still clearing and setting up from the previous show, but all good. It was just really, really hot.

Get here. Now. Leave all your troubles behind! This is joyous fun with some absolutely incredible performers! The. Show. Is. Amazing! From waiting in line out front (meeting new people) to being seated and served prior to the show - every step is organized and well executed. Drinks are served quickly - souvenir glasses!! I've been twice now and am booked again for a party of six in June. The shows and several performers were different the 2x I've been so I look forward to the next visit! Both times, everyone in the entire place was smiling, singing, clapping, tipping, singing, eating, smiling and having the best time ever!! The crowd stays hyped and the performers are truly exceptionally talented. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Good was good and good he show was really fun! Food took a bit but it was a busy brunch and it is much larger than the Ontario one, which is nice.

Onion Rings, Mary's Appletini, Strawberry Margarita
    Daniella P.

Came here for a drag show and was impressed with how quick and dedicated the servers here are. They were very much on top of everything and worked really hard. We ordered the onion rings with a Mary's Appletini and a Strawberry Margarita. The Appletini was the perfect mixture of sour and sweet flavors. Great service!

Hamburger Mary's - Long Beach Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Hamburger Mary's - Long Beach

Will my entire party have to be present for us to be seated?

No, you can let them know how more people will be coming. You can also reserve a table for the amount people you need.

What's the age limit for shows,?

The age for entry is 18. however, I believe if a minor is accompanied by their parents, they will be allowed in.

Can we bring a birthday cake?

Is the house made vegan patty gluten free?

I've no idea. It's probably best to call directly.

Can I bring my 17yo to Sunday brunch? He has been before but wanted to know if rules have changed due to the unfair madness aimed at the drag community lately😢

I took my 16 year old niece for her birthday. She had a wonderful time. They just "mark" her hand so she won't be served.

How long is the brunch show?

It's not a bar the club two different things

Is your outside patio open now? Trying to eat outside because of covid. Thank you in advance if anyone knows!

I was there yesterday and we were able to have our drinks out on the patio after our show but not sure if there is table service out there.

I am planning my birthday brunch here next month & I want to know if it is kid friendly? My daughter is 14 (teenager) but I just want to know if she would be allowed to watch the drag show?

This is at your discretion as a parent. There is a lot of adult content during performances and adult language in between performances. She would be allowed to join you. Hope this helps.

    Do they check bags?

They did not when I went so I'd say your safe😀

How much is it for the bottomless mimosas on Saturdays now 2022? I'm planning to go in October with about 14 people. What's the cover charge price?

Would love to take my two year old to a brunch. Just curious about the age restriction and if there are kid friendly shows .. if so what day is best recommended to go?

They no longer have the buffet so everything is off the menu. We had a small child with us, but she was older than 2. The entertainment is just lip-syncing, but the dress/attire is risqué.

Is there an age requirement for Sunday Brunch?

I went with a group of people and we had a 12 year old and a 16 year old with us, they just draw a X on there hands as to symbolize they can't be served. We had a great time but the content is definitely not appropriate, during my day there they had… Read more

Are there age restrictions for the drag shows?

18 and up 21 to drink

Is there still drag brunch on Sundays?

Yes sir! You just gotta make reservations ahead of going so you have a spot to sit at.

Is proof of vax still a requirement?

No, proof of vax was not required when I went last month.

Is the cover fee cash only?

Yes, they have an atm on site, and there is a chase nearby.

Are there unlimited mimosas for brunch?

    Yes

Do they charge to get in along with the reservation? I was hoping for vip seating as well . I've been trying to call to get more info but the number listed does not answer

The show fee is $5 and VIP is an additional $5.. 562-436-7900

Do you need proof of vaccination and or negative test to enter for the drag show at night ? Also we are going for a friends birthday trying to see if there is VIP section and asking about pricing?

I had to show proof back in January 2022, however it was an event and everyone in line had to do it. YMMV. There's a few areas that are not in the main paths of people with views of the entire place. I've seen it with parties/events in those areas.

I see the weekend brunch is inside and out, with the main stage in, will they come out to perform?

No I didn't see them step out only saw them stay in

I say the last…read moreitem because it is a makeshift saloon adorned with swinging doors like cowboys of yesteryears passed through, both while coming and going. There is no way to identify the true identity of this bar, and I rather not try to define it. I recognize that people are no longer one chief identity, they are intersectional beings whose personhood is a sum of varied identities and thus there is no one size fits all label that any one person can adopt. I would like to think that this bar's value is that it is a sum of its many identities and when I tally these in sum I recognize this bar is mostly a great hangout place. In short, it is an awesome place! When i was in college, I used to go to the campus library. And there were these fellow students who piled on empty coffee cups on top of each other. This is to communicate to others how much time they have spent in the library. Strange to flex study time, but, people flex different things--- I can imagine a person flexing a perfect scarf, just red enough to complete their Snowman (or Snowperson?). And in this place, I saw shot glasses piled four tall. What were they flexing? Their right to party hard and correctly? Probably, or probably not. Again, I only celebrate the different peacock tail wings that others proudly fan. Parking was scarce. My friend Conrad and I had to turn on several streets to get lucky. This might indicate that this bar is for locals, but also Long Beach is known for its lack of parking. I am glad we looked for parking and found it. But also the turns we took to get lucky were not many, the whole experience lasted less than 15 minutes that is average parking space finding time. Conrad and I went to SweetWater Saloon to play pool. They have two tables and both were free. I met the first bartender who explain these facts. Yet still he asked me to buy a drink. I got a pineapple and vodka, it was on special, or more precisely, the well drinks were. What kind of irked me a little, was that Conrad also needed to buy drinks and he does not enjoy alcohol, so we needed to get him a soda. Bars by design are free to enter. Not everyone who enters has the capacity to pay for a drink (as we all know times can be hard) or wants to drink that night or may be abstaining, etc. So the policy to buy a drink in order to play pool for free is problematic, but I can see their side, but I do not think it holds water. I did meet a couple-- a guy and a girl. We started to take shots together. The shots were White Gummy Bear shots, and they were delicious. I highly recommend. The three of us started to play pool while we enjoyed shots (we did not stack the empties). And eventually, fun and engaging conversation ensued. Conrad waited on the side, I and the other two chatted. We forgot about the game. We were not taking pool shots. We just gabbed. Finally a patron came, and asked if we were still playing. Of course we are, I explained. It was not my turn, but I took a pool shot. I immediately sank the eight ball. The universe helped me with the joke. I am a bad shot, but the eight ball was aligned to a pocket, I made the shot easily. Good laughs were hard. I tell this story to highlight that this bar has people to chat and play with, and has pool, and it has regulars. If you are looking to meet friends for the night or for a lifetime this bar offers the opportunity, as long as you try, not all people do. The bar further has games to enjoy like Yahtzee and Uno. It also has tvs and jukeboxes. Meaning it has ample goods for all those looking for merry. It also accepts cash, which can be a drag. The bar also has strings of pride flags but not much else decoration. A second bartender and I got into a spirited debate. I wondered if this was a gay bar? And he pointed to the flags hanging on the walls. And I thought, I recently went to a bar with Halloween decorations, this does not make it a spooky bar it only makes it Halloween friendly. The fact that the bar has flags hanging, and almost nothing else, does not make it a gay bar. The bartender explained that it was in an area of Long Beach with great Pride, and next to an intersection with a paved walkway colored rainbow. I did not want to get annoyed. Just because a tailor is in Chinatown does not mean that he celebrates Lunar New Year. Meaning, that a space can certainly define a spot within its territory be but not always. I did not say this to the bartender. I share this to clear up any believe that this is a queered space. It is queer welcoming, but it is not a rainbow laced environment where queer people dominate. I really believe it is bar for all that are looking for a good time. I will go here again, looking for the same and there is enough here to help me find it.

A fun selection of upbeat music which the videos were also showing. You don't want to show up somewhere and the music sucks. Overall, it a fun little neighborhood dive bar. It seemed more like it was utilized with regulars as everyone seemed to know each other. I'm sure it picked up later on from when we arrived. But a fun little place for a drink. The place was chill as most bar in Long Beach are. Nothing stuck up here with pretentious people. Everyone is here for the same thing, a dive bar and drinks. There was actually more than one bartender this time. Normally it's one who was taking care of everyone. And a mixed crowd, people all having fun. It's bigger than the other one we just came from But did notice some other guest from the previous bar doing the same thing we were, bar hopping. One of the waiters came up so I just told him someone was in there. He literally gave me a dirty look before asking if it was a girl in there. He then shouted over the door asking if they were done. My partner said "Almost" but he reached for the handle opening the door into me to shuffle me out of the way anyways while saying "Well I work here." he barged into the bathroom while my partner was still inside but he at least wasn't indecent by this point. I was so mad, we left right after and I'm never going back. No part of that was okay he mentioned something about his shift almost being over to my partner while he was in the bathroom but that's no excuse to be so unbelievably rude in a place that's supposed to be inclusive. I will not be back and I hope no one else ever feels that disregarded by this waiter again. I don't really write negative reviews because all jobs come with their stress but this bothered me on a bare basic human decency level.

Seems like regardless whatever your age is, they ask. Inside you have the retro fun vibe. Of course everyone is there for the same reason, a fun night. Bar is right when you walk in. Normally there's two bartenders on the busy nights but often you just see one. Inside has a good amount of seating but outside patio seating seemed to be alway lively. There's loads of seating out there. The fun twinkling lights and nice lush plants gives it a cool tropical feel hidden in Long Beach. I did notice a lot of people bringing food in especially pizza which was from across the street. Didn't know you could Uber Eats things here but clearly you can. Dinks is always good from my experience. Reasonable price which brings the crowd in. The only thing that sucks, the restroom situation. There's two on either side which does get pretty busy with a line as it's one per person and it's alway dirty. Don't know if anyone goes in there to clean during the nightly hours. Overall, the crowd is alway fun and lively. The last two times I've been I did noticed that it's still the college crew crowd as when I used to come in the early 2000. A more younger crowd, somewhat hipsters vibe. Depending on what day you visit, there's some kind of something going in. It's a fun dive bar that's alway fun for drink. Very casual.

During one drinking session, I think I heard Sonic Reducer three times; that adds an extra star. Before we get off track, let's get back to my opening line; when my life is in shambles, I come to V Room. It's fun, it has great music and things just don't feel as bad here. My last venture to ye olde V, my roommate broke up a fight in the girls room, my friends and I drunkenly sang along to Iggy Pop, and a hipster girl was hoisted out by the straps of her 90s era child's backpack. So, all things considered, my life may be in shambles, but at least I'm not brawling in the girls room. The drinks rule and the bartenders are the BEST.

Acts as if you're the issue for coming to have a drink at "A BAR" . Eye rolls whenever anything was asked for. Went to pay & when the " tip" wasn't up to her par , she made the comment under her breath " why even **** come out cheap f**k?" Why even be a bartender if you're not going to provide a service. You don't get a tip for being terrible at your job. That's not how this works. Management will probably read this & brush it off because she'll have a lame excuse like we were the problem or needy. Nope. She is the problem. Even the regulars mentioned they can't stand when she bartends because her attitude is so terrible. Fix your system please. Get better people.

If you're looking for a solid Thai spot in Long Beach, this has become one of our family's feel…read moregood go to places. Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
