I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Chris' Bakery. I purchased a pastry expecting…read morefresh bakery food, but when I opened it, the inside was completely frozen solid and impossible to eat. Unfortunately, I had already driven out of town when I discovered the problem, so I couldn't bring the food back. I contacted the bakery to explain what happened, but instead of offering a refund for the defective food, they offered me half off a different sandwich. Why would I want to spend more money at a place that just sold me food I couldn't even eat? Mistakes happen, but good customer service means making things right when the customer receives a bad product. I'm very disappointed with how this was handled and will think twice before spending my money here again.

My Go-To Coffee Spot--Espresso Shake Heaven!…read more Whenever I'm in the area, Cade De Lisio is an automatic stop. Every drink I've tried has been spot-on, but let me rave for a moment about their espresso shakes--they're the real deal. Back in the day, Tully's was the only place I could find a proper espresso shake. Since they closed, I've been searching for something that could fill that void... and Cade De Lisio absolutely delivers. Most places advertise shakes but serve up icy, blended creamer. Not here. These shakes are made with actual ice cream and rich espresso--no shortcuts, no false advertising. They're known for their Mount Bakers, but I came back on day two and ordered seven more espresso shakes cause others tried mine the day before and wanted one of their own. That should tell you everything you need to know about how good they are. The staff? Genuinely kind and welcoming. The coffee? Unbeatable. Do yourself a favor--skip the chains and treat yourself to something special here. You won't regret it.

I was sooooo excited to this business have a coupeville location. As soon as it opened I started…read morefrequenting it. Sadly the service has gotten much slower and it is unfair as having one person work on a Saturday will hurt the business. It would be better to close if there is not sufficient staffing on a weekend, and Labor Day weekend at that. The ill will is harder to recover from than a day of sales. It took 30 minutes to get two burritos and one drip coffee to go. On the burrito note, they were about 25%-30% larger at the onset and are more tortilla than stuffing now. You have to continue to offer a valuable product or people will just stop coming. I really want you to succeed from a local. But staffing and product needs to be set to a standard. Some people walked out today while we were waiting because the wait was just too long.

I'm usually a little skeptical of themed coffee shops because I worry the drinks will be too gimmicky or way too sweet, so I almost skipped it. So glad I didn't. I was genuinely impressed. The cake was so moist and not overly sweet at all, and the drink was sweet but still had a real coffee flavor instead of just tasting like sugar. The decor and overall vibe were also really cute, and everyone working there was so nice. You can tell a lot of thought goes into the whole experience, and the quality of the drinks and desserts actually backs it up. I'd definitely come back and try a different theme next time. Really impressed by this place.
