I've lived Oak Harbor for the past 2.5 years and Cafe De Lisio is one of the first places I tried for coffee. I love the variety of flavors they have and the menu is very extensive. My go to is a drink called "Gandalf" which is white chocolate, salted caramel, and toasted marshmallow. I prefer to get it blended with a "bold" shot (as opposed to "smooth") and with white chocolate whipped cream (they off an espresso whip as well). For further customization, they offer chocolate covered espresso beans to top off your drink! If you don't know what to get, the baristas are extremely friendly and love answering questions. I've never had a bad experience at the drive-through or walking in. That being said, at the time of writing this review, the drive-in is currently under construction, but the walk-in is open! It's small inside, but it's really cute. Watch out for bees if you're allergic, they are attracted to the syrup and there were a couple bees flying inside, although they were not aggressive. One of my favorite coffee places for sure! I always take my visiting friends there for their caffeine/sugar fix. read more

TLDR: Felt like highway robbery and a cruel prank at the same time. Doesn't serve customers in order of arrival: First of all, I drove up to the little shack, and because you can drive up on both sides and the guy ahead of me on my side took forever for some reason, two customers who arrived after me on the other side got served before I even got a chance to give them my order. This is ridiculous. Lack of basic understanding: I asked for Earl Grey tea. For some reason this took them a few minutes to figure out what I was saying. Cheap cups and lids: I spilled hot tea all over myself and needed my partner to hold the cup for me in between sips (I was driving) because the lid doesn't stay on the cup. When you try to grab the cup out of the cup holder, it just squeezes the cup and forces the lid off spilling it everywhere. Absolutely absurd prices: I paid over $7 for a cup of tea (a cheap tea bag and hot water) and a little bit of honey. You pay half this much at most anywhere else, and I live in downtown Seattle and go to fancy coffee shops where prices are already pretty high. And it wasn't even anything special (one of the other options they had was Lipton, which is the cheapest tea you can find). read more

My favorite coffee place has always been Dutch Bros and sadly the nearest one is all the way in Everett. I'm a big fan of the sugary crud, although I do enjoy a nice black coffee from time to time. We have lived in Oak Harbor for a year and a half now and I have only just recently discovered Cafe De Lisio! I'm sorry... but Dutch Bros who?! I can't believe that I've been missing out on this place! After months of scolding my husband for blowing all our money here, now I see what all the fuss is about! I'm so disappointed in myself. Anyway, every experience that I've had here has been absolutely amazing. The ladies are so sweet and try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. Their drink menu is 4 pages long in what I think is size 6 font. It's incredible! They just recently opened a walk in shop. I went there one day to try to beat the line at the drive thru. There was only one customer ahead of me and by the time I got out of there 4 cars had gone through just one side of the drive thru. I come here all the time because of the atmosphere and great tasting coffee! Today I got a 24 oz blended Tagalong Mocha (off of their specifically menu, you have to ask for that menu) with smooth shots, real peanut butter and white chocolate whipped cream. I try to get something new every time but it's difficult with so many choices to choose from! Would recommend this coffee stand to anyone! As long as you aren't in a rush because there's usually always a line but it's worth the wait! Also, I've had several different drinks off the specialty menu and for a 24oz, they have been $7.45. This place is beyond awesome!!! So awesome we can go far enough to say this is one of if not thee best coffee joint we've ever been to, hubby and I combined. First off the ladies working there, Katie and Christina If I recall correctly, are some of the friendliest people we met and you are guaranteed to have a smile on your face when you leave based on that alone, without drinking your coffee first. They clearly love their job and you couldn't ask for better service. The coffee is the cherry on top. They provided us with their special menu (pictured below) and it was hard to choose which drink to try, since they all seemed amazing. I finally settled on the Brownie Nut and hubby chose the Creme Brûlée. They asked how we wanted our coffee (bold or smooth) and which espresso whipped cream you wanted (regular or expresso) and provide you with a few chocolate-covered coffee beans on top of your drink to add to the experience.
