Took a day trip specifically to try this place. It was fun and whimsical. Decorated in Alice in Wonderland theme. I had an Off With her ahead drink and Eat Me Cheesecake. Both super delicious! Service was friendly. I will stop back next time I'm in town.

Adorable place that knows how to decorate and celebrate a theme! I went in for Halloween and instantly started snapping pics. They have treats, drinks, trinkets & even a space to relax! It was super cute - check it out

It was worth the drive from Arlington ! Amazing atmosphere and terrific drinks and baked goods. The frozen Butterbeer was as good as being in Hogsmead! Fun and fantastic !

The Mad Better Bakehouse is always interesting and entertaining. I really like how they pick a theme and base all their offerings on that theme. The latest theme is Harry Potter. I am a Harry Potter fan, having read all the books AND seen all the movies. So, I enjoyed looking at all the different Harry Potter memorabilia around their store. This visit I decided to indulge myself with a Victor Krum(ble) coffee cake and a Mandrake Mocha. The coffee cake had an apple filling and the mandrake mocha featured a mint leaf floating on top. I enjoyed my mocha and coffee cake sitting at the window. I was able to enjoy the view outside while listening to the soundtrack inside. A fairly enjoyable break from my hectic day.

A changing theme coffee house and bake shop, GENIUS!!!! Alice in Wonderland has been an obsession since I was a kid so I was in awe from the second I walked in!!! Such a beautifully crafted theme!! I can't wait to see what next month brings!! Amazing, fantastical and so creatively original and great coffee and goodies!!!! The staff are wonderful, sweet and helpful. I had such a great time that I wish I lived in Oak Harbor full time so I could go there everyday I had the most perfect iced caramel latte and the Earl Grey, lemon and lavender cookie did not disappoint!! Such a great recommendation!!! Thank you so much!!! I will definitely be back!!!!

Super unique and creative space with effort put into decoration, themes and drinks. Cookies looked delicious but we didnt get one this time around. Coffee drinks were good flavor - not overly sweet which I appreciated. The spot is a little off the beaten path from where I usually go but it was fun to see this area and walk along the shoreline a block down.

On Thursday 4 May 2023, when I was visiting my Grandma in Oak Harbor, she suggested we come and try a cookie from Mad Batter Bakehouse. She had received a birthday coupon from an acquaintance for a cookie, so we came and I got to pick out the item. The parking area is shared and we were fortunate to find a spot as Grandma said no to walking a block or more to get a cookie. The baked goods are on display just inside the entrance and footprints on the ground show the path to follow to place one's order. I went with a Star Wars-themed Jedi cookie, which was blue velvet and white chocolate. At payment/turning the coupon in, a couple that entered the store after me ignored the footprints on the ground and tried to cut in front of me in line. The worker had been paying attention and helped me next, not the people trying to cut in front of me. She took a name for the coupon redemption, I gave her my Grandma's name. We took the cookie back to the house to eat it for dessert at lunch. The inside of the cookie was soft and the outside golden/browned and perfectly lightly crunchy. White chocolate chips were still melty, and the blue velvet flesh of the cookie was not too sugary and did not stain our teeth. It was a hearty dessert and a perfect portion for both of us.

Lights, camera, action! All part of the movie theme.

CHINTZY!! The smallest scoop of ice cream we've ever seen! For $5.50 each we expected more than a few bites. Do better!

My Go-To Coffee Spot--Espresso Shake Heaven!…read more Whenever I'm in the area, Cade De Lisio is an automatic stop. Every drink I've tried has been spot-on, but let me rave for a moment about their espresso shakes--they're the real deal. Back in the day, Tully's was the only place I could find a proper espresso shake. Since they closed, I've been searching for something that could fill that void... and Cade De Lisio absolutely delivers. Most places advertise shakes but serve up icy, blended creamer. Not here. These shakes are made with actual ice cream and rich espresso--no shortcuts, no false advertising. They're known for their Mount Bakers, but I came back on day two and ordered seven more espresso shakes cause others tried mine the day before and wanted one of their own. That should tell you everything you need to know about how good they are. The staff? Genuinely kind and welcoming. The coffee? Unbeatable. Do yourself a favor--skip the chains and treat yourself to something special here. You won't regret it.

I've been meaning to visit this bakery since it opened, but never had the opportunity until now…read more I finally got the chance when I dropped my truck off across the street at Les Schwab's. I checked out Noona's offerings and decided on a pineapple turnover and a Red Bean pastry. To be honest I chose both because I have never eaten either one before. Red Bean Cakes are an East Asian treat made from red bean paste and wrapped in a soft dough. They symbolize luck, prosperity, and ancestral respect. When you visit, they have little take away boxes and serving tongs that you use to place your orders into the box. Not everything is available for self selection. Some of the items are behind a glass display case. The Red Bean Cakes was smooth and silky with a nice soft pillowy dough around it. I took a few bites while sitting at the outside table and the proprietor asked me if I would like her to warm it up. I agreed and a few seconds later she was returning with my warmed bean cake. Maybe I have simple tastes, but I think I preferred the bean cake room temperature. Both ways were delicious, I just liked it a little better before it was warmed. The pineapple turnover was a joy to eat. I love pineapple and was not disappointed with this turnover! The dough was perfectly flaky the way turnovers should be and the pineapple filling was wonderful!

Both were good and flavorful although served in a take out cups. We also ordered chicken wings which were crisp but mostly flavorless and may have taken a second trip in the fryer. We finally had to obtain a separate plate to eat off. It seemed that neither owner/operator was friendly and had the wrong demeanor to operate a restaurant. We did not order the hot dogs but someone near us ordered them and they seemed like corn dogs like you buy at the grocery store.
