Great scones...

The best way to start your day on Whidbey Island is with a scone from Jupiter Coffee!!!Fresh out of the oven at home is the best way to enjoy. The varieties are endless . Stop by Tuesday - Saturday and pick up a bag or two of scones...

The service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the coffee and scones are delicious. There were so many types of scones and they have packs of 4 that you can take home as well as coffee for sale. Definitely worth the stop!

We were visiting Whidbey Island for the weekend and needed a caffeine fix. My husband and I ordered Americanos and were delighted to see they had gluten free scones since my husband is celiac. We got a gf blueberry peach scone and a marionberrry scone. Both were absolutely delicious but I did prefer the blueberry peach slightly more due to the lack of seeds. The scones are deliciously sweet and crispy with almost a shortbread like flavor. Definitely a bit of a decadent treat but well worth the calories.

Went around 11:30 on a busy Saturday, but service was quick and friendly. We tried the peach blueberry and chocolate cinnamon scones, and I had a lavender iced latte. Everything was INCREDIBLE!! Sad to have missed the breakfast biscuits, but that just means I have to come back!

This spot is an incredible find! Every person working there is so friendly, attentive, and just seems so happy to be working there. The baked goods selection is wonderful, with an array of scone options for only $4 (I chose a dark chocolate cinnamon scone and was not disappointed). I couldn't believe the affordable prices for the coffee ($3 for a latte?! Is this 2010?!), which tasted great. The space isn't huge, so you may not be able to find a seat if it's busy, but there is a back room with additional seating. Do yourself and this lovely business a favor by checking it out!

Great coffee, friendly vibes

It was delicious and made me want to go back a couple weeks later to get another one. Totally different experience. I took the apple cinnamon roll home, put a pat of butter on it and microwaved it for 10 seconds. The roll was hard, so hard I could not cut it with a fork even or chew it. A couple days later the owner or management of Crusty Crumb posted about poor reviews they were getting and said this: 'We've seen a few reviews lately that let us know we didn't hit the mark for everyone. While we know we can't please every single person, we care deeply about what we bake, how we serve, and how you feel when you visit'. They followed up with this: 'If something was off during your visit, we're truly sorry. We're human, and we may not realize something's wrong unless you tell us. We welcome all kinds of feedback, from the food to the atmosphere, and we'd love the chance to make things right' So, since my experience was so recent I mentioned the hard apple cinnamon roll. I was told that bread should never be put in the microwave - making me the reason their cinnamon roll was too hard to eat. I stand by my comment that 10 seconds in a microwave did not ruin that roll. The butter didn't even melt. Crusty Crumb asked for feedback. When I shared my experience, they were looking for accolades, not an unhappy customer and even though the said 'they'd like to make it right', they didn't mean it. I was not offered a refund for the $6 cinnamon roll nor invited to return to the bakery to get another cinnamon roll on the house hoping for a better experience. They asked for feedback but didn't really want feedback. Disingenuous at best

Whether we are stopping in for their delicious **breakfast sandwiches and coffee** to start the day or picking up a variety of **sweet treats**, the quality is consistently amazing. We have also ordered **cupcakes** here on several occasions, and they never fail to impress--both in how they look and how they taste! Beyond the food, the atmosphere is what really sets them apart. They work incredibly hard, yet they are always so **friendly and welcoming** the moment you walk through the door. We even love getting gift certificates here to share with our students because we know they'll be treated to something special. I can't say enough great things about this business. I love the savory and the sweet and everything tastes fresh there compared to a store bought donut. My top favorites are the salted caramel croissant, Nutella topped Bavarian cream, or the cinnamon twist. Also the jalapeño cheese bread is incredible. Thank you to being the best bakery I've had the chance to visit on the island!!!
