What an unexpected find! My friends and I were visiting the area and swung by the cozy and charming Jupiter Coffee for some breakfast and saw that they were known for their scones. We tried a variety of flavors: - Blueberry Peach - Strawberry Peach - Mango - Cinnamon Swirl These were definitely some of the best scones I've tasted - each scone had the perfect crunch on the outside, and softness on the inside. They even have frozen scones that you can take to bake at home, which I regret not doing! I can see why Jupiter Coffee is a popular local spot, with the line going out the door on a Saturday morning. read more

The owner is so generous and friendly! Best island hospitality! We enjoyed chatting with her and her scones are amazing! There are so many varieties and it was so hard to choose from. We ended up getting 7 diferrent kinds: Spiced Pumpkin Swirl, Cinnamon Raisin Swirl, Spiced Apple, Lemon Ginger, Orange Ginger, Orange Dark Chocolate and Blueberry Peach. They also have take-and-bake. We got lucky that she had 2 racks of yummy freshly baked scones at 4pm. We will be back! read more

Let me tell you about this divine biscuit. This was thee best biscuit I have had in my entire life. It was crispy, flaky, flavorful, salty, fluffy, warm, and the perfect amount. The sausage was incredible and the cheese and aioli were absolutely perfect. I cannot describe into words you just have to try it yourself. I would honestly come back to this place just for the biscuit. I have tried the coffee and chai twice and wasn't in love but I will be back for more these delectable biscuits!!! WOW! We are so fortunate to live close to this wonderful coffee/bakery gathering spot. The food is fantastic! The best biscuits and scones of my 76 years and I've scone-traveled Scotland, England, Ireland, where scones are an art form. There are cute and comfy chairs and tables. On a spring morning the sunny courtyard is the best place to relax. My favorite spot on a rainy winter day is next to the cozy stove with a steamy cup of freshly ground coffee and any of the many flavors of just baked scones. Soft and light inside, delicately crisp out. The Pecan Cardamom is delicious but Orange Roll is my very favorite. The breakfast biscuit ...mmmmmm ... fills me up all day. read more

We have been housesitting the past two weeks and have visited Jupiter 4 times. We love their scones. So much variety and prob the best we've had outside the UK. They are different from British scones as well with many interesting flavors and crunchy exterior and soft insides. We like the fruit scones the best due to the moisture they add. Okay Again I don't like scones. Grew up with the dough ball things at the fair that required gobs of jelly and a lot of beverage to enjoy and get down the hatch!! You don't need any jam or jelly for these but she does sell good beverages. This time we bought butterfinger scones from the freezer case and this morning from the air fryer.....Perfection! We were visiting Whidbey Island for the weekend and needed a caffeine fix. My husband and I ordered Americanos and were delighted to see they had gluten free scones since my husband is celiac. We got a gf blueberry peach scone and a marionberrry scone. Both were absolutely delicious but I did prefer the blueberry peach slightly more due to the lack of seeds. The scones are deliciously sweet and crispy with almost a shortbread like flavor. Definitely a bit of a decadent treat but well worth the calories. read more

This spot is an incredible find! Every person working there is so friendly, attentive, and just seems so happy to be working there. The baked goods selection is wonderful, with an array of scone options for only $4 (I chose a dark chocolate cinnamon scone and was not disappointed). I couldn't believe the affordable prices for the coffee ($3 for a latte?! Is this 2010?!), which tasted great. The space isn't huge, so you may not be able to find a seat if it's busy, but there is a back room with additional seating. Do yourself and this lovely business a favor by checking it out! read more

Superb coffee and the BEST scones on the planet. As if that wasn't enough, the owner, Laura and all of her staff are delightful. Her breakfast sandwiches, made with fluffy, just baked biscuits and sausage and egg. As if that wasn't enough, they are topped with one of three delicious sauces of which I still can't decide which is best, the chipotle, pesto or garlic aioli. Finally there is a freezer which contains 4 Frozen scones to a package and so many incredible flavors to choose from. I find it so hard to decide which I want that I inevitably end up grabbing 3 packages so that I will never run out. Many rave reviews from out-of-towners for Jupiter, which is great - but the South Whidbey Island locals are the real winners to have this amazing cafe. The scones live up to the hype - their baker as achieved the perfect balance of flaky, moist, crumbly and flavorful. Friendly, quality service - no pretension, just nice people (which can be so hard to find now!), and expert baristas. They served up Seattle's Caffe Vita coffee, also sold by the beans, which perfectly complements the tasty treats in the pastry case. Enough seating to hang for a bit, inside or outside, or hop in, hop out - good location in a farm field near Freeland center. My only criticism is that there aren't longer regular hours (a common and understandable challenge for the island). So happy to have Jupiter on Whidbey! read more

A shop worker in Langley suggested I go to this shop and get a scone today. I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. Oh my goodness, the BEST scone I have ever had in my life AND it is gluten free. I couldn't even believe how amazing it is! The owner was delightful and clearly passionate about her craft. The scones. THE SCONES! If you've been, you know, if you haven't, you must. The scones are perfect. They have a lovely crispy layer on the outside and soft, moist inside. They have a crystalline layer of sugar, but aren't too sweet. It's black magic. I thoroughly recommend the lemon-poppyseed, and cinnamon scones. And if the scones are the perfect level of sweet, the biscuits have the perfect level of savory. We had a jam biscuit which balanced so well. I wish I had taken pictures of any of it, but we didn't take the time while stuffing our faces. 10/10 Would Recommend.
