Our drinks didn't take long. The inside is tiny! It is really cute though. They do have some tables/chairs and a bar with a few stools. The stools are pretty high though. I had a hard time getting up and down from my stool. It was nice to sit and enjoy our coffee, but there probably isn't a large chance that there will be seating available every time.

The reason I love it is the flavor. I love the roasts that come out of this shop, and they are all made in small batches the Oak Harbor shop. I usually default to the French toast, but I'll basically take whatever they have brewed that day. Recently though I switched from drip to Americano at the urging of one of their baristas, Alea (she's the one with the stunning curly hair and great smile). Anyway, she whipped out this americano and it was so smooth, nutty, and rich. The crema on top was like candy. Now I get it every time. I'll admit, this stand has got it a little rough. It's right beside the ferry which leaves every half hour, so they sometimes get slammed during the time between boats. Occasionally they have two baristas which helps on the busy weekends, but I don't envy them in that little red box! Basically, I think the world of everyone who works in that box. They are the sweetest people and no matter what the other Yelpers say, I'll be going back for a long time. (Tomorrow morning, in fact)

You can really taste the quality. The cream cheese options were delicious, and the sandwich combinations were generous and flavorful. Everything came out quickly, and it was the perfect start to our day. We'll definitely be back next time we're on the island. Highly recommend!

The bagels were soft and chewy inside. I usually like my bagels toasted but this bagel was so good without toasting. The roasted garlic cream cheese had smashed garlic inside that wasn't overwhelmingly garlicy. Because we came in around noon, there weren't many options because they sell out quick. But I was very impressed with the bagels I had! I'm buying a dozen on my way back home.

I got the avocado toast with pesto (so very good!) and a hot chai tea latte with oat milk (tasty and on the more spiced side) while my husband got a double espresso (he enjoyed it very much). I was not able to get one of the angled parking slots adjacent to the cafe, but found a 4 hour spot near their conference center and fire station down the street. They definitely take full advantage of the amazing waterway view on their multilevel terrace with various plantings and whimsical wood carved fixtures. The cafe has a variety of both outdoor and indoor seating. Welcoming counter service. There's breakfast and lunch menu items, baked goods, and coffee/tea service. I decided to hang out onsite with the warmed, tasty vanilla scone and well crafted, spring inspired 12oz mocha. A few folks were on laptops, rest were there for lunch and lively convo. It was also good to see upbeat camaraderie among the cafe staff. Always a treat to stop by an indie cafe that provides pleasant service, decent food/bev selections, seating for lingering, and an amazing view!
