Low key local breakfast cafe with enthusiastic servers. Our food came out fast and piping hot. The coffee is a light blend. Quality is consistent.

So surprised by this brunch spot! We really liked what we ordered and would for sure go again. The gravy for the biscuits and gravy was not tasting home made. Tasted like the gravy they serve at hotels that have breakfast included. Everything else was delightful and we enjoyed the service as well as the small town feel of this breakfast joint.

I can't believe I have lived in HR for 15 years and this is the first time to this wonderful restaurant. We tried the chicken fried steak skillet and the chili relleno burrito. Both dishes were super. Loved the side of biscuits and gravy that came with the skillet. The chili relleno burrito was fantastic and a different menu item. Loved the smothered in green chili. Fantastic service. Can't wait to go back.

First visit here in close to a year. They were busy around 11 on a Saturday, and we ended up waiting 20-25 minutes for a table. Once we were seated, service was pretty quick. I tried the Mediterranean omelette (I think) for the first time, and it was very good. Along with holding the tomatoes, I might hold the olives too next time, as they were a bit much. My daughter liked the hash omelette. My French toast side was pretty good but could've been a little better done. Neither of us were impressed with her biscuit and gravy, which were small and kind of sad looking. Coffee is always good too.

Chicken Fried Steak, 2 scrambled eggs, hash browns & last but not least, a biscuit & gravy!!! GET IT!!!

WOW!!! The Egg is only 5 minutes away from me & I never knew it was there. What a gem of a restaurant!! Obviously, as the name implies, The Egg is open at 6am for the breakfast crowd! I was in the mood for Chicken Fried Steak, so I turned to Yelp & The Egg was the first restaurant listed. It had almost 5 Stars & over 100 reviews, so it met my criteria to try. I went after I voted (Make America Great Again!!!) so it was around 8am. The place had a nice crowd in there & I was greeted instantly by multiple waitresses. They said I could sit anywhere, and I picked a table in front of the TV. Instantly I was greeted by a server & she asked if I'd like anything to drink first, so I got a cup of Joe & let me tell you, EXCELLENT coffee. I had to find out who the maker was, it was Farmer Brothers Coffee & it was the BEST cup of coffee I've had since living in Colorado (5 years). The menu was HUGE! Check it out for yourself, both sides and it was about 16" long & laminated! The Breakfast choices were numerous, but I had my mind set on Chicken Fried Steak. It came with 2 eggs any style, hash browns, and a biscuit with gravy. The CFS was to die for! It was so tender, juicy and loaded with gravy! It was HUGE & EXCELLENT! I'm so glad The Egg is about 5 minutes from me, so I definitely will put this in the rotation!!!

Small inside but a good spot for breakfast or lunch. Service is friendly and very helpful. Recommend the French toast or supreme burrito. Pancakes or their skillets are good options too!

Went and checked this place out from all the good recent reviews, but was let down a little from the hyped reviews. The food was alright. They have big portion sizes, which for the price, makes a lot of sense but a bit overwhelming. The quality is a little disappointing. It could be just what I got but my Florentine omelette barely had any egg in it with the amount of ingredients that was in it and was drowned in hollandaise sauce (see pic). Basically scraped the hollandaise sauce off the omelette only to find some egg in the bottom. The service was great and that was pretty much the highlight of the visit there. Their outside seating was also nice especially with the nice weather. Overall, don't think I'd visit again or recommend to friends.

Great service and delicious hardy food. The place is always packed but the wait goes fast. The restaurant is always clean and bathrooms are fresh.

It features tender, butter-poached jumbo shrimp with a subtle kick from the Calabrian chili, balanced by artichoke and a bright Chablis spritz, all served with toasted focaccia. While it's meant for sharing, I had it as my entrée and it was satisfying and packed with flavor. I paired it with the prickly pear margarita with tequila, which was as beautiful as it was delicious. It's a vibrant pink, lightly sweet, slightly tart, and incredibly refreshing drink. Definitely a standout cocktail! My server was friendly and attentive throughout, which made the experience even better. Another fantastic visit all around. ----- Stopped by Postino Highland Park solo one evening and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was easy, and the atmosphere was ideal for an evening out with its dim lighting, candlelit tables, and a cozy, relaxed vibe. Service was fast and friendly, even dining alone, which I appreciated. I ordered the smoked salmon board and a glass of Prosecco. The board included both cold and hot smoked salmon, whipped feta, cucumber, pickled onions, cornichons, crispy capers, a baby Caesar salad, and crostini. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The baby Caesar was beautifully balanced, and the whipped feta was excellent. While the hot smoked salmon wasn't quite my preference (I would've personally enjoyed the board more with just the cold smoked salmon), that's more of a personal taste than a flaw in execution. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual solo dinner or a low-key night out. I'd come back, especially when I'm in the mood for cozy vibes and a relaxed evening. Still a solid choice for good food, good vibes, and a drink after a long day.

FOOD: Decent coffee. Menu had a bit of every classic breakfast dish -- eggs and meat, omelets, skillets, burritos, benedicts, tater tot bowls, battered brekkies -- as well as an array of burgers, sandwiches, salads. I had a Spanish skillet which was well-made, though the jalapenos made it a little one-note. My wife had the corn beef hash, which looks to have been made in layers on the plate and was very, very good. SERVICE: Despite the full house, service was snappy and pleasant. We felt neither pushed nor neglected. AMBIANCE: Serious diner vibes -- and not ironically chosen retro, but "yeah, this is a diner and would have looked this way if you'd visited in 1954." Noisy (but not deafening), bustling (but not overcrowded). The customers were of all ages, from families with small kids to seniors to teen-twenties in hoodies and tattoos. That's another sign of a good place. TIP: Huge free public parking lot behind its Broadway-facing location. Makes the downtown Englewood place a lot more accessible. NET-NET: I loved it. I'd go back here any number of future times, if only to try some of the other dishes.

We put ourselves on the waitlist and once we sat down outside, the totally amazing technology took over. We were able to watch the waitlist on the Yelp app and we received our "table is ready" text on our mobile as well as thru the app. Pretty sweet! The cakes here are definitely a safe go to. Slightly sweet and fluffy and taste good with syrup, jam or alone. The restrooms could use a little attention. The floors were wet and the towel dispenser not working properly. Nothing a little makeover couldn't help.
