This is not a review of the place but a criticism against the behavior of an employee. I came here for a tour of the place, seems straight forward? The lady at 1pm today of 1/12/25 at the front wearing a black dress was chill. I was expecting a usual trip, looking around and seeing how it goes. Just when I was following the employee, she randomly makes a bizarre and rude comment about maintaining a "bubble." I must state this is just casually following someone who is showing you a place. This is normal behavior, but to her it's as if I am a sort of stalker? This is messed up and incredibly disrespectful. To hear her use a harsh and aggressive tone to me, saying to keep my distance. Quoting "I don't let men, women, or kids near me." Excuse me? For her to rudely say: or the tour will end here...what? Then why do you work in a job interacting with people? The whole tour was ruined due to this individuals disrespectful behavior. I do not know if she has mental issues, a stalker, or dislikes people? Currently have lived here for over 5 years. I have to note that the maintenance department is great, 5 stars, they're very quick every time and have very good communication. Also, the office staff is wonderful above 5 stars!!! Elena in particular has been wonderful to work with and she's always there to help. She is always kind, understanding and has great communication. Overall the property is kept pretty clean and I have never seen vehicle break ins. The pool and hottub are well kept and the BBQ area is very nice on the rooftop with more than ample seating for get togethers. This would be a 5 star if small adjustments were made to the mail room, though it's likely a common problem at any big facility - and if the management company was a little better with the move out deposits agreement - which a big portion seems to go to fully restore the apartment for the next renter even if you leave it in good condition. read more

I'd give a negative star if I could. While I liked the apartment I lived in, the management here is HORRIBLE! Towards the end of my lease there was a huge leak due to an issue with the hot water heaters in the community. Since they had to shut the water off for 2 days and tear a wall down in my apartment to access plumbing, and install a giant dehumidifier for 3 days straight (which caused my electric bill to shoot through the roof), I was asked to get a hotel and was told I'd be reimbursed for all the expenses by Jomel who works in the management office. I cooperated with management even though this happened while I was in the middle of packing and moving because this was an unfortunate, unforeseen circumstance. But even though it's been 1.5 months to this, I've not been reimbursed any amount. And I was charged a big fat move out fee on top of my deposit although the apartment was returned in good shape. Which was settled but still no reimbursement. I was also charged $4000+ for a plumbing leak that happened and stopped in front of my eyes within minutes. Elena, the leasing and business manager at this location assured me over a call and in writing that they'd treat this incident and charges separately from the other ones, but now went back on her word and still hasn't settled the reimbursement. I've lived in many communities but this experience has been awful. If you care about - 1. Your security deposit 2. Don't want to pay thousands in move out, and 3. Care about good management/customer service Do not make the mistake of living here. The management will do everything they can to make you rent there and charge you crazy amounts at move out with horrible service and false promises. read more

Here is the current story I understand there are some issues with the plumbing in the building, so my apartment is under a project with no estimated duration. In the meantime, I have been asked to cooperate with this project, for which my apartment is literally cordoned off, and I have no privacy left. My living room is currently a mess as all my stuff from the closet had to be cleared. I have been given a key to apartment on 3 floor,and asked to move there with an air mattress if I want some respite. This apartment has no Wi-Fi, and I have been requested to cooperate. It's been mentioned to me that this unwanted project is for my good wonder how ? Everything is justified under the eyes of the management but rent needs to be paid on time. Here are the pics of my living room I can imagine a family with kids and the problems they may have to face, and the plumbing issues are bound to happen as it was so when the building was constructed. Before getting into the review itself, I wanted to give a huge thanks to Cici for helping us with our move-in. We asked her a ton of questions and she was very patient, kind and informative. We felt very reassured that we found the right place after touring and it all started thanks to her assistance. I listed several things that came to mind for this review after living here for several months. Safety/Security For me safety is number one and I can honestly say I have huge peace of mind living here even if I'm paying more than I would somewhere else. Our neighbors are nice people and the staff is very responsive/friendly. Parking My gf and I each have our own designated parking spot in the gated garage. We've had no car theft issues so far. (My car got stolen at our prior apartment complex because I had to park outside along the street, so this was great for us) I'm parked on the 7th floor which can be a bit rough when having to drive down on a time crunch but the view up there can be pretty awesome Living Space All appliances work as intended. Hot water in all sinks/shower. A/C and heater work. Storage is pretty good. The walls are a bit thin facing the hallways so you will hear people talking at times but it is not bad at all. Also you might hear the train pass by which can be loud but it goes by fairly quick and is not much of a problem for me personally but might be for others. Gym/Mail Room/Package Room The gym is nice and I've always had a great workout there. You definitely want to pick the right timing though. The mail room is pretty secure, however the package room is the only thing I can say is not great about the entire complex. It's pretty messy and it can be hard to find your package in there. I would recommend that the staff buy some sort of heavy duty shelving and organize it based on floor number so the delivery drivers know where to drop things off. Overall this complex was a good find for us and I'm really glad we were able to have moved in here. This review is primarily for the move out process. Like all the other reviews, don't expect to get your deposit back, and expect to pay a couple hundred dollars more. They charged us $500 for move out utilities (They said utilities is billed 3 months behind. My sister and I were residents for 2 years and our utilities never exceeded $100/month so I'm sure sure what the extra $200 is for). They also charged us $531 for basic cleaning, carpet cleaning, and paint. We also got charged $50 for replacement cutting boards that we didn't even know we had, and definitely did not use. In terms of our experience living here (3/5), maintenance was always friendly and wonderful. The location worked great for my sister and I. The office staff was always responsive and friendly. However, if your apartment faces the courtyards, expect loud parties, loud music, bad karaoke, and dogs barking until all hours of the morning (especially in the summer/warmer weather). Even with all our windows closed, it was still extremely loud and disruptive. We tried calling security multiple times, but they either didn't pick up or never addressed the noise. They have a locker system for packages, but half the time my packages would be thrown on the floor along with a ton other packages you have to sort through. There are also theft issues with the package room as well. I've been contacted by Milpitas PD multiple times due to them finding my packages in random people's cars that they've pulled over. We decided not to renew our lease this year due to the cons outweighing the pros. We have since moved to a different complex in Milpitas for the same price and we are not having any noise or package issues. read more

They have no cameras, the only cameras they have are 1 facing the punk ass bikes in the bike racks and the 1at the entrances yet you wonder why there are package thefts . They also have no number posted anywhere to call for after hours unless You ask the leasing office ! But No one ever answers at the leasing office when you call you have to physically show up in order for them to answer the phone... They Have terrible security all they have is one security officer that is supposed to be securing the residence gates i guess.. yet there is only security at night and they only sit in their car the whole time . I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because the apartment itself is nice, granted, living in a brand new place is always nice. What's not so nice is that when we initially came to check this place out, we were told there's plenty of parking. When we moved in, I read a few reviews online about parking issues so when we came to sign documents, picked up keys, we asked and low and behold, there's limited parking, with about 80 other people on a waiting for a second parking spot. So where are we supposed to put our second car?!?! Street parking here is limited. Not to mention, all of the parking around the park on Garden St has a sign that says no overnight parking. About a third of the streets in the neighborhood are fire lanes. People resort to parking in fire lanes and try to fit at least half of their car into a spot they don't fit in and leave the other half blocking the street. My guess is that it's designed this way so that when the BART station is open, random people won't park in the neighborhood. Don't live here unless you don't have an extra car in a one bedroom apartment or you're willing to get towed. read more

The management here is pathetic and extremely unethical. I moved out of this place after a year because of numerous reasons like: Parking: When I went for the tour they promised that I would get the assigned parking spot on the same floor as my apartment. Later, when I moved in I was given a parking spot on the 6th Floor. The parking gate used to be out of order for at least a week every month. Then they would leave the gate open and there were multiple cases of break in. Overcharged last month's rent: They overcharged $450 for last month's rent. When I called leasing office, they said they won't be able to return that money and I will have to wait until I move out to get that done back. When I moved out, they charged me unnecessary move out charges that consumed my deposit($600) and a huge part of the amount that they overcharged. Stomping: The tenants who lived upstairs kept stomping and I complained multiple times but the management ignored it and did not do anything regarding this issue. Guest Parking: They literally have 8 parking spots for the whole building and they were usually occupied by the leasing office staff. People who visited me had to park at Great Mall parking lot. Rent Increment during COVID: They increased my rent during the pandemic when the rents were decreasing in the whole Bay Area. Stolen Packages: There were multiple instance when my packages were stolen from the parcel room and the management didn't do anything for this issue either. Definitely would like to give a shout out to Jahsika down in the office. She definitely assisted our move in process! She really took into consideration what was going to be best for our family. She was able to get us through the application process relatively quickly & that was great as we were on a time limit to finding a place. We had previously looked at this apartment and we're sent on a self tour of some higher level units and corner units, but decided to pass until we came around again and we're met with Jahshika. It was perfect because she definitely took care of us . She suggested a few different units, did a virtual tour of the building and all it's amenities & we were sold ! Thank you Jashika ! Only thing I would hope is if they were a bit stricter on the no smoking .. some tenants tend to smoke out by our balcony towards the back of the building.. being we intentionally looked for a non smoking complex it's a bit annoying to smell the smoke so close when our windows are open or when we like to hang out on the patio. read more

My husband and I moved into the apartment about two months back! We enjoy the community very much. Our house faces the buildings behind and we don't have any noise issues. Creative plans, beautiful interior, shiny new appliances and decent kitchen and bedroom space We live in a single bedroom apartment. The plans are very modern and beautiful. The introductory offers on the rent are pretty good. What makes the difference is the stag who are super friendly with all the help needed. There is a gym, lounge, yoga room, courtyard and swimming pool with barbecue area. I was super excited when we first saw this brand new community. Also, we got our friends to live here and rented two apartments. However, because of the following below mentioned reasons, I will not suggest this apartment to any one and would think about renewing our leases: 1. I had a car break in today in the cellar parking and when we went to discuss this with management, she replied saying " I need to leave". Discuss with the manager on Monday. My entire day have been wasted. They do not have any security cameras neither the gates have been fixed till date. 2. The parcels from the parcel rooms are on the floor lying opened. My entire box of Zara was left open on the floor empty. 3. This is not my personal reason. But a friend of my told that when the lease got renewed, they removed all the discounts which the tenants have got in the first year. The lease was renewed at a very high rate. This makes no sense to me when the management still has discounts on their website to lure new tenants, however has substantially increased the rent for the existing ones. They asked our friend to move from existing apartment to another and charged him 1200 cleaning fees for a single bedroom apartment. I have been living here for a little over a year! I moved from their sister company AMALFI down the street. The reason I moved here is because I need to downsize to one bedroom and also brand new property with better amenities and upgraded appliances. I am very happy here and still working with some of team members I met at AMALFI. Awesome services always from the entire management team especially Elena, Paul and Krystal! A special call out to Elena for her awesome and attentive assistance as always! My only complaint here is some of tenants and I wish they treat this place like their own! The level of service here is great, Juan Gomez was my technician who came out to help adjust my shower because the hot/cold water mix was a little too cold for my preference. Not only did he help fix that for me, but he also (without even asking) adjusted the exterior door next to my unit so it wouldn't slam and make such a loud noise! I was going to put in a request for that anyways, but before he even got to my apartment he made the adjustment! Incredible! Thieves and homeless live in this apartment complex! 2 of our Bikes were stolen from a caged bike storage to which only tenants and building staff have the key to. Says a lot about the vibe of this complex. Someone went through the trouble of trying to cut the bikes off the racks which must have taken over 15 minutes, if only the building had security paroling the parkade/building but instead the security guard parks in corner and goes to sleep. Not sure what crime hes hoping to stop from inside his car. I have seen homeless people inside secure building areas and told management but they have not done anything about it or even bothered to ask the security guard to actually patrol the building. Other buildings i have lived in always have a security guards walking through the complex every so often. Save your money and go to those apartment communities. This building is equivalent to living in the ghetto, why would you pay milpitas price and still live in the hood. Many other issues such as maintenance not knowing how to fix appliances within your apartment, management generally not giving a crap about any of your concerns, they just reply with a general 'we'll get back to you' and they really never do. Straight up- find somewhere else to live. Don't waste your time here. A few months prior to moving from our old apt my boyfriend had his motorcycle stolen. So we moved to The Edge in August 2020. 3-4 days after moving in here, we got a call from the MPD they found his motorcycle at the hotel right next door. Completely trashed the bike we parked it next to my car with a chain around a pole. Few days later it was stolen AGAIN!!! No other bike was taken or fucked with. Keep in mind there are a bunch other bikes that are parked all over without covers and no locks on. And ours gets stolen. Fast forward a while on 1/2/22 decided to get other bike and really make sure this one is okay. Cuz you know there are a bunch other bikes here there's no way. 1/8/22 locked up the bike this time, on the highest floor parked completely behind our car locked up 2 alarms. 1/9/22 checked in on the bike.... BATTERY STOLEN, CLAMPS TO HOLD THE SEAT AND BATTERY BROKEN!! Again, every other fucking motorcycle in this fucking apartment complex is fine. This is bullshit and this place has turned trashy, cigarettes butts everywhere despite it being a smoke free apt. I've had to call security countless times for smoking on the balconies and with the leasing office. And to provide proof of which residences are smoking. Bottom line- shit gets stolen here. Sound insulation between apartments is very poor and I could literally sometimes hear my neighbor sneeze. Lived here just under two years. In this time, we experienced three car break ins (all in the "secure" parking garage) and had multiple packages stolen from the package room. We expedited our move because we no longer felt safe in the building. Upon move out, we left our apartment in immaculate condition. We were shocked to receive a bill stating that we owed money in addition to our deposit. The charges stated went against California law. When we mentioned these laws, we received an email stating that we no longer owed money and that we were getting our full deposit back. If you currently live here, I would recommend taking a lot of photos and videos upon move out and understanding the laws around what the property management company can charge you for. Wooden flooring but definitely some cheap material for it keeps spewing black sticky gunk from all the joints. After spending one year cleaning it, and raising multiple maintenance requests, I went to the leasing desk to ask them if there's a feedback form\box where I can drop my feedback. The guy sitting there nonchalantly asked me to leave the feedback on Yelp or Google. So I decided to do just that. But it shows they don't even bother for your feedback. Stay away from this place. But if you do decide to rent an apartment here due to their lucrative move-in offers (honestly that was the only reason I rented an apartment in Edge), be ready to deal with rude management and for your maintenance requests to take forever to be addressed. Everyone likes to stay clean, but don't bother spending an iota of energy\time\efforts in cleaning the place while you move out because no matter how clean you leave the place, they will still send you a bill for $500. We spent over 4 hours wiping every slab, cleaning every little mark on the walls, and vacuuming the place in hopes that we won't have to pay an exorbitant amount for cleaning but boy, we were so wrong. The management is just looking for even the slightest opportunity to rob you of your hard-earned money. And trust me, they don't care whether you stay or leave. I was given a renewal offer for the same amount as my existing monthly rent. When I declined and gave my notice to vacate, my apartment was listed on the site for $200 less than my existing rent. On top of that, they were offering one month rent-free and $1500 move in discount as well. Clearly they don't want you renewing the lease. read more

Honestly, living in an apartment/shared space isn't for you guys. The management team is nothing but accommodating and cheerful. Every single experience I have had with them has been nothing but positive. Paul works vigorously to solve whatever issue I have and also FOLLOWS UP to ensure it was solved ASAP. I lived here for 1.5 years and I don't recommend this place for a few reasons: 1. Property management is very money oriented and does not care about other things. My lease was ending in April 2020 and it was the start of the COVID pandemic. So, we decided to renew the lease for 6 more months. But, when I asked to renew it they increased the price saying we cannot give you the promo discount anymore and you need to pay higher rent. We did not have any other choice but to pay higher rent being scared of COVID. Surprisingly, they are giving promo discounts to all new renters but not giving it to existing renters in this crazy time of COVID. 2. You will not get any deposit back during moveout. Instead you will need to pay the money on top of the deposit as they charge for everything. They say on the lease that wear and tear is allowed; but, they really don't allow for any minimal and expected wear and tear. For example, I lived there for 1.5 years keeping the apartment very clean and nice. No holes in the walls, no damage to the painting. Only a few smudges of dirt under my desk, my wife's desk, and under the island in the kitchen. Initially they charged me for full apartment painting. After arguments they changed it to partial painting saying that are reducing as a courtesy. In my opinion it should be just touch ups. But, they charged for partial painting. Basically, they don't want to bear any wear and tear expenses. 3. Poor quality stuff in the apartment. - Example 1: poor quality bath tubs. They charged me $900 to re-glaze the bath tubs saying you damaged the bath tubs using wrong cleaning supplies in the bathtubs. I have lived in many different apartments and I used the same cleaning supplies in all apartments, but I have never got charged for bathtub re-glaze as they never got damaged at all. They sent an email after 1 year of leasing the apartment that stated do not use this cleaning supply or that cleaning supply. Like, seriously. You should have told us earlier. We would not have used that cleaning supply and would not have damaged your crappy poor quality bathtubs. - Example 2: poor quality furniture. Every now and then, the drawers fell off. I requested multiple times to fix it. The maintenance team is good, they came and fixed it, yet; the issue continued so we stopped using a few drawers and kept it as is. 4. Parcels get stolen or missed placed in their secure PARCEL PENDING locker room. They asked people to sign up for the locker saying your parcel will be safe and will be placed in a locker with a notification and we paid a fee for this service. Due to small capacity of the locker room, many of my packages were on the ground in the room and a few times my packages were open and we did not get any notification that our package was delivered. Luckily, I did not have any expensive stuff in there otherwise it would have gotten stolen. After that, I decided to ship stuff to my relative/friends house. 5. They will rip you off when you move out and steal the majority of your security deposit, which was $600 for us, no matter how you leave the apartment. We occupied a unit that was only 2 years old for 13 months. We had a walk through with the head of maintenance before we left and he said the apartment was in good shape and would only require an average level of cleaning. When the management got back to us about returning our deposit, this is what they charged us: shampoo carpet = $95, apartment cleaning = $190, repainting the entire apartment = $214; total = $499. They neglected to charge us for utilities in a timely manner and had to charge us for three months of utilities at the end. That is fine, and we are happy to pay. However, their claim that we only owe money because of that is false. The majority of our security deposit was eaten up by expensive and unnecessary maintenance charges. This is on top of the fact that my catalytic converter was stolen while parked in their "secure" garage. The management did nothing to help us and would not even let us view security camera footage. It took over 4 months to get my car back because parts were so backed up and I will never be compensated for that inconvenience. Worst community ever... parking issue offcourse as everyone is writing. There was a Car break-in in the visitor parking garage in my car along with two others and leasing staff was kind enough to say, "Sorry we can't do anything to help you please contact our manager on Monday". Broken garage gate for more than a month now. No security in the building. Barely any security cameras. Frequent issue with hot water geyser in morning during office hours. They have locker room for the parcel delivery with code and all but you may find your package lying on the floor if you are lucky. read more

I moved here in January 2022 and left a better review but definitely feel like I need to update my review as I don't feel the same way having lived here for 6 months. First thing is the community is generally quite dirty in regards to the courtyards, the concrete here is almost always covered in dog poo. Even though they have a policy with a fine, there is still always dog poo here. The other issue is parking, we live on the 5th floor and our parking spot is on the 7th. You will see other people who moved in later, eventually got a spot on their floor(can see that in reviews here too). This wouldn't be so annoying if the rules were the same for everyone but since some tenants seem to be accommodated and others are not, this just seems to be at the offices discretion. We actually know multiple people in this building that have 2 parking spots both on lower floors, yet we have our ONLY parking spot on 7th so no physical way to get out quickly. Wouldn't it make more sense to give people with 1 spot a lower floor especially if others are being given 2 spots on a lower floor? Just doesn't make sense, being in health care, you get a urgent page but you have to wait to complete 7 twirls to get out of the parkade each and every time. Visitor parking is not a solution either as this is always full, you'll see people parking infront of the elevator since there's no open spots. If you are in a hurry and take up a future resident parking spot, you'll have a red letter on your windshield saying if you do it again you'll be towed. So really no solution for people like me who really need to get out of the parkade quickly at times. When we moved in, we were told the amenities had wifi, after moving in we realized there's no wifi. After asking the leasing office about this multiple times (over 6months) they say there is wifii but when you go check again there isn't. It's a game of ping pong, when you tell the leasing office again that you checked again and there isn't then they say 'we will get back to you' and of-course they never do. We were also told during move in that there was a snooker table but that didn't arrive until recently so please verify everything that is important to you about the building before moving in. Security is also an issue in this building. A lot of homeless within the building, in fact if you walk up to the rooftop parkade at night you can see inside the pool area and I have seen a homeless man showering here multiple times after hours when the pool area has been closed. You will also find homeless people sleeping within your hallways at odd hours of the night. The leasing office told us they would let security know but this just is an on going issue that doesn't seem to get resolved. I had read about all these issues before moving in but was hoping it might have improved by now, unfortunately in our experience it has not. read more

This review is for Juan the maintenance guy! We've been at the Edge for a couple of months now and have had to ask for maintenance to help out with our microwave and toilet. Each time, Juan has come by and gave us quick and easy service. He is always respectful when he comes inside our home and whenever we see him around the building he is always very kind and smiles and waves. We appreciate the work that he does! read more
