My family member just moved out of this lovely apartment due to work. They are one of the few that would accept a german shepherd. The apartment came with washer and dryer. The place is nice and cozy with your own balcony/patio. My name is on the lease and dealt with the staff. They are one of the most responsive ladies I've had the pleasure of dealing with. They were prompt in responding to any questions. They were very helpful, kind and professional. Shout out to Amica and Joc. They run Renaissance apartment with compassion, kindness and professionalism. Parking is not a problem at all. You have an assigned covered parking and lots of guest parking. They have lots of EV charging station as well. The move out process was seamless. We got our security deposit back less cleaning service as I am not about to spend my days cleaning it lol. We've lived at Renaissance Apartments for almost 3 years and it's hard to say good bye! The complex is beautifully maintained, clean, and full of lush greenery that creates a welcoming and serene atmosphere. The staff here has been fantastic, always accommodating and friendly. A special shoutout to Johniquewa, who goes above and beyond to make the complex feel both professional and warm. Her friendly demeanor has truly made a difference in our experience. We've loved our time here, and if we ever return to Sunnyvale or the South Bay Area, Renaissance will be at the top of our list. Highly recommend! PS. Road for second car/guests * Great location close to Central Expressway, 101 and 280 * Amazing produce at Wolfe India Bazaar right across the street * Lovely pool and hot tub, and shady central courtyard * Great location for taking walks * Excellent staff - very friendly and responsive * Fireplace (3rd floor units only?) made for a cozy winter * We never lost power even through the hottest months * My favorite - tap water quality is great! We never bought gallons of water like we did when living in San Jose * Option to go month to month after first year lease Every place has its faults, but we experienced only a few here: * Old San Francisco Rd can be loud, even through the night * Mailboxes were broken into several times * Random inspections by lender felt very invasive * A/C unit was not in a great spot - it blasted directly into the wall of the fireplace. We always used a large piece of cardboard to redirect the air * Toilet was on the smaller side All that said, the price was good when we moved in compared to other units we looked at. Utilities were very reasonable as well. This is a very family-oriented community, with a school and park just down the road, and there are many fun seasonal events put on by the apartment staff. We only moved away because we found a great deal on a rental closer to work. If a friend or coworker was looking for an apartment, I would definitely recommend this place to them. read more

Johniquewa From the moment I walked in, Johniquewa was courteous, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the property. I have been on an apartment hunt for quite sometime now and this experience definitely stood out since Johniquewa went above and beyond my expectations of a leasing mananger. She took the time to show me around the apartment and answered all of my questions in detail, even going to extend of touring again with me when I was confused on which apartment to choose. Her professionalism, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in ensuring I found the right home definitely made impact in my decision making. We've lived here for more than five years and mostly enjoyed our stay. We've had a great 3rd floor apartment towards Braly park with lots of sunlight. We felt safe and the apartment was comfortable. The pool and the fitness center are nice amenities to have even though we didn't use them a lot. Leasing office staff was usually helpful, sometimes a bit unresponsive though. Five stars for the maintenance staff of the place. Whenever we had issues with appliances or plumbing they've solved them quickly and professionally. Also very courteous and polite. It's great that you don't have to call a handyman for these smaller repairs. The exterior of the apartments is well kept and they made constant improvements to make everything look nice. They've recently added EV charging (we didn't use it though), AT&T fiber and a few years ago lockers for packages. Noise level was usually not an issue, just sometimes fans from downstairs apartments could be annoying but they've also fixed them pretty quickly. As the complex is not gated you sometimes heard noise at night from trucks close to braly school, but this seemed to be more of an issue when the school was closed during the pandemic. They have a security patrol at night so that helps to feel safe as well. One thing they definitely could improve on, are the appliances inside the apartments. Those are not en par when you consider yourself a luxury community and are definitely in need of an update. The dishwasher was very loud and didn't clean well and the washers are top loaders that have a tendency to damage your clothes or bungle everything together and get super loud. We've also dealt a bit with mold on the windows in our bedroom, but wasn't too bad. Another issue are the garbage areas. A lot of times these were a big mess. This is more a problem caused by the people that live here and are too lazy too put things in the right containers and also from outside as nothing is gated, but could be improved by installing doors with locks or cameras. From time to time the staff organizes events which are great to bring a sense of community and especially popular with families. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and can recommend the apartment complex. read more

Clean swimming pool & apartment campus, amazing and responsive staff, decent prices and perfect location with proximity to restaurants, grocery stores and park. Couldn't have asked for more from the apartment. We lived on the top most floor and then the second floor, both were fine. Some noise is heard if your top neighbor stomps around. Compared to all the other pros, this was super minor. The many number of times we renewed our lease here is testament to how much we enjoyed being here. read more

We lived here for 2 years but now are relocating due to other job opportunities. Our time here was good. The leasing team was always helpful and the maintenance team was timely with service requests. Initially when looking for a place in the area, we found several apartments with similar sq ft and amenities, however Renaissance had better location and leasing offers. The location was perfect for us. Within 15min of our job places, SJC airport, Sunnyvale downtown, 2 rock climbing gyms, grocery stores (the India Bazaar at the corner is very convenient for quick grocery needs), etc. read more

Calling it a "Paradise" would be an understatement. Away from the hustle of bay area traffic, located in a serene spot surrounded with lush green areas, Renaissance Apartments is a hidden gem. Close by Gas station, Costco, Grocery stores, Gym and the lovely Braly Park is a huge plus. The entire leasing office team - Amica, Xhemile & Johniquewa were very helpful in having a good experience throughout the stay here and promptly responding to all concerns. Stayed for 4 years, and each year the team kept the community alive and thriving with events as much possible. Also, the maintenance team was prompt and considerate in resolving all issues reported within a day or two which was great. Keep up the great work team! Update 12/5/20: Unfortunately, at around 4:30am this morning, I was woken up by an audible pitch caused from a vibration. It was hardly a way to start a Saturday after a long week. I decided to submit service request with the thought that things could be delayed due to Santa Clara County's new COVID orders. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that before 12pm today, Leo and another member of the Renaissance maintenance team was at my door ready to address the service request! (Thanks, Leo!) Within a few moments, the service team again validated my report that there was an audible pitch and vibration. Unfortunately the team had to inconvenience my neighbor (sorry!) and after inspecting the appliance, determined that higher settings caused the vibration and sound in my unit. This is the same unit which was replaced in late September and referenced in my previous review. Although I am quite impressed at the response speed, and am grateful for the partnership of my neighbor, I am wary at what the "fix" solution will be. I do not want to have my bedroom be plagued with unnecessary vibrations and an audible pitch; however, my neighbor also should be able to have access to a fan -- included in Renaissance's unit amenities. My current review of max stars reflects my appreciation for the staff, neighbor, and follow through to date of concerns. I am hopeful there will be a "win-win" for all to mitigate this very unexpected situation. I will update as I learn more so that this experience is helpful for someone in the future as well. read more

I had a tour with Xhimile or something. Staff there seemed with very much attitude and many with long faces. The first impression was a "rug" taped together.. basically sample pieces taped together to look like a rug. When I asked, Xhimile(?!) said: "it's a special rug". yeah! alright! Then while touring the apartment, I noticed that the refrigerator makes a loud high pitch noise like something is stuck while screwing the appliance. Appliances should quietly humm. When I asked about it, she said: "all of our fridges make this noise". So no good appliances for the over $3000 rent for a one-bedroom apartment. She also mentioned a couple of times that: "I have my own house". Good. Now you can maintain it by doing a minimum wage job! Also, there is no on-site maintenance personnel. So if something goes wrong at night, you're screwed until the next day if they refused to drive here. Overall, just a bad taste when I left the place. Really rotten vibe! read more

I lived at the Renaissance Apartments for two wonderful years! I chose it because I really liked the apartment layout as the two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the units (with kitchen and living room in between, as opposed to some other places that have rooms next to one another). I lived on a first floor unit and also always felt super safe. There are washer/dryer in unit which is very convenient, and our unit had two bathrooms. Also, you get one covered parking spot, but there is plenty of parking all around the complex. They also just got new pool furniture, gym equipment, and are also updating all units to hardwood floors. There is also a little park behind the pool. The office is great if you have an issue. They will do anything from changing lightbulbs, to lockouts, and fixing closet doors. You can submit an online request or simply drop by the office and ask. Also the office is open basically regular hours on the weekends. Maximum convenience! If you need help, ask for Carla! Plus, the location is great as it is super close to five supermarkets, 24 Hour Fitness, tons of restaurants, and downtown Sunnyvale. Not to mention so many Silicon Valley companies. The Bay Area is certainly pricey, but if you are looking for a safe, relatively quiet, and central location, the Renaissance is worth a peek. read more

Have been living with my wife and child at Renaissance Apartments since 2 years and recently upgraded from a one bedroom to a two bedroom apartment. We love everything about these apartments - from the location to the well designed apartments and the maintenance to the friendly staff. It's a great place for children - our 5 year old son loves the on premise swimming pool, kids play area. He also spends a lot of time at the beautiful Braly park and goes to the Braly elementary school right next to it . read more

Lived here for a year and the apartment itself is nice for the price you pay, the only negative comment I would say is all of the street noise that you hear if you live along Old San Francisco Rd. It would be nice if they invested in sound proof windows. The 1 star review would be for the leasing office staff. They are super lazy and unhelpful. Always a sense of attitude and no genuine want to help you. Sent them numerous emails on items throughout the year and they never respond. If you go into the office afterwards to address the email, they say "oh yeah we saw it". But they don't feel like they need to respond to you on the email. And if they respond and confirm, they actually don't act upon it. Again, nice apartments but horrible leasing office staff! read more

This review is for our lease consultant Xhemile! She's such an awesome down to earth person and a pleasure to work with. From day 1 to day 365 when we moved out, Xhemile was there for every step. She's also invited us to multiple events that the apartment complex hosts! As for the complex itself, I would give it 4/5 stars. There are great amenities such as a huge heated pool and spa, ample parking, and a free car wash station. Some of the items that could be improved on are interior lighting upgrades, and apartment grounds security. I lived in a 2BDRM 2BATH apartment with two small kids for 3 years and this has been the best renting experience I've ever had. I've been renting for most of my life and it's always been challenging, at best. Renaissance Apartments has made my life amazingly stress free and I loved staying here. The Leasing Office Staff is extremely professional, very polite and courteous. Maintenance Staff has been super quick to respond, fixing many issues that my kids have caused. I usually got a 1-2 day turn-around for non-critical things - that's amazing customer service. The Management has made a lot of effort to bring the community together; they had Christmas Parties, Halloween Events, Ice Cream Socials, etc. During the Pandemic, as soon as it was legal - they re-opened the pool and that's the only thing that saved my sanity during that period. All the other pools (public / private) were closed for months. They also hosted outdoor games during Winter Season, to get people walking outside and create an awesome neighborhood feeling. My family loved it. The apartment was very nice and cozy, plenty of room for 1 adult and 2 children. Everything worked as expected, neighbors were easy going and understanding. We didn't have a pet, but at one point we brought fleas inside. Management scheduled 3 different inspections and took care of Pest Management Process. They also include carpet cleaning once a year! The community is pretty quiet and very safe. I never got anything stolen, and they have security guard on duty each night. There's plenty of parking, landscape is very well maintained. Location is amazing - a few steps away from Braly Park, which has a new/updated playground. We often took kids there, played ball, hang out at the play structures or walked around. Walking distance to Safeway, there's a lot of foot traffic in the area - many people taking walks - which is great to see. Move-out was stress-free - we had an inspection prior to move out, we cleaned the place a bit and got a reasonable amount of my deposit back. The Management was very supportive and very helpful throughout this process. I highly recommend this complex, it's absolutely one of a kind! read more

This review is about the worst experience with the leasing office staff. We never stayed at this apartment but on last weekend decided to visit after booking an appointment. Upon reaching we interacted with 'Berlin' one of the staffs in their leasing office. Berlin was least interested in making us comfortable in our visit. Lastly, when I told her we have been referred here by one of our friends and is there any referral bonus ? She immediately denied and said you should have mentioned this when you booked the appointment. Looks like the bonus goes to her if not given to the resident! However the person Jocelyn who booked the appointment was in such a hurry that she hung up on me and never bothered to ask as well how did we hear about this community and on top of this Berlin tells me yes, I was with her yesterday and she had asked. She argued with me about this whole thing . Never expected such a rude behavior on first visit. In 10 min after we left , Berlin calls me and tells sorry it's mistake on Jocelyn's part and we will work to give you the referral bonus but give me the full name and apartment number. I told her give me sometime to get back with the name and apartment number as well. She argued I don't want the apartment number just the name is enough and I'll give you only 1 hour to give me the details. Is this some kind of joke? I called her back in 5 min and gave her full name - still she asked what's the apartment number! C'mon how many people are there with such uncommon name in your community! Could you even trust people if they mention something!! With this disrespectful and rude behavior of Berlin - we immediately decided not to ever look back to this community! read more

The absolute best experience. The staff at Renaissance Apartment Homes goes above and beyond. Nicole and the other staff are prompt, considerate, and extremely professional. My husband and I had just moved to the area and were left without a home after a rental turned out to be a scam, and the staff here bent over backwards to get us in. The units are clean, well kept, spacious, and very cozy. The residents are very quiet, and we NEVER could hear our neighbors (speaks volumes to the quality of the buildings). The grounds are very well kept, and the pool and community areas are always well maintained. Additionally, maintenance requests are VERY promptly taken care of. They hold tons of community events for residents that range from fiestas to Christmas parties to paint and wine nights. I've never lived at a complex that puts so much work into create experiences for their residents to share together, and they do it so well! We really couldn't say enough good things about our place. If it wasn't for a job change that took us out of the area, we would have never left. Thank you Nicole and all the other staff for truly giving us a place to call home! read more

I lived at Renaissance from May 2015 to December 2017. All things considered, Renaissance Apartments is probably my favorite complex that I've lived in (compared to 6 others). I only left after buying a house. The inside of the apartment is clean and high quality. The appliances are fairly new, the walls are painted a light off-white color (which I appreciated after years of bright white apartment walls), and I had a sizeable patio and utility closet for a single bedroom apartment. The staff was always polite and accommodating. I was one of Carla's first renters and she was always quick to reply with help when I needed it. Unlike some other apartment complexes, you will likely find that this staff is more concerned about your issues than they are about following some strict protocol or rulebook. The location is excellent. Right next door to the complex is a small park that you can walk through any time of day. It's also nice to walk through the surrounding family neighborhoods. Renaissance is just a minute's drive away from a 24 hour Safeway, a full-size Target, and downtown Sunnyvale where you can find many restaurants. Lastly, an interesting note, I had numerous package deliveries, large and small, to my first floor apartment. Not once did anyone ever walk by and steal those packages. The complex and the area seems very secure and friendly. read more

We've had a great experience the past 2.5 years at Renaissance! The leasing office has always been helpful and friendly, our service requests were always addressed quickly by the maintenance staff, and we enjoyed the nearby area that has lots to offer (many of which are accessible by walking or biking for times when I didn't feel like driving). Our dog enjoyed Braly Park next door and playing with the other dogs living in the complex. There's always plenty of guest parking and we enjoyed the amenities such as the package locker, fitness center, EV charging stations, and car wash station. The leasing office usually hosts several social events every year, but during the pandemic they got creative and we enjoyed the games like the scavenger hunt around the holidays. It's a pretty quiet and safe apartment complex. Since we lived close to the Braly Park/Braly Elementary School side we'd hear parties on the weekends or the students during school hours in pre-pandemic times or see people cut through the complex coming to or from the park, but nothing that bothered us. We'd gotten to know a handful of other residents through walking our dog around the complex (including the property manager Amica) and we'll miss running into them and chatting. We enjoyed our time at Renaissance and highly recommend it for those looking for a place to live in Sunnyvale! read more

My partner and I recently came here to visit my sister. When we arrived to the complex we were a little lost and couldn't call my sister (we were visiting from Berlin, Germany, and weren't connected to WiFi) so we went to the leasing office. The staff there were incredibly helpful in assisting us with finding her place! They were extremely kind and made me feel like I wasn't a nuisance for being lost. Once we got into the house we noticed how spacious it was and how absolutely gorgeous it was! So many amenities! I love to cook and felt like I had a Martha Stewart kitchen to cook in! Also the balcony... my partner and I said to my sister 'oh we didn't know you were THIS fancy!' Haha The bathroom was also beautiful. Wonderful place, great staff! I lived at the "Renaissance" Apartments for three years, though this made me feel more like a peasant from the Dark Ages. Yet now that I've moved on, I'm still slapping myself in the face, forever regretful that I didn't cut my losses and skedaddle when my lease was up after year one. With the over $120,000 that I paid to the complex (which, admittedly, gets you a down payment for a bathroom in SV), I was hoping that the staff would be better trained in addressing tenants' concerns. Alas, the high school kid at Burger King was more receptive to my family's needs. The apartment complex is beautiful, with fresh coats of paint, perfectly manicured shrubbery, and a leasing office straight out of Beverly Hills. But don't let that facade sucker you in. Once you start writing the monthly checks, you will experience an oeuvre of ineptitude first hand. And trust me, it is not fun. I have moved to 3 apartments within the complex. We moved the first time because we were about to have a kid and needed the extra space. Unfortunately, living on the 2nd floor subjected us to the constant noise of flushing toilets, screaming kids, and, worse of all, the perpetual stomping of feet, so that we knew the physical location of our upstairs neighbors at all times. Being driven to the point of insanity, we moved, one month later, to a 3rd floor--that is, top floor--apartment. Meanwhile, I dealt with the more mundane injustices of living there. The multiple instances of the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night, for no reason whatsoever, except to startle children and dogs. The time the smoke alarm, again for no reason, kept blaring, banshee-like, for an hour, keeping awake our infant, and the maintenance guy refusing to come because this was not deemed an "emergency" under Renaissance guidelines. I eventually ripped out the entire contraption from the ceiling. And I can't forget the time the water pipe burst downstairs. Our downstairs neighbor--rather than any leasing staff--notified us that we couldn't run any water down the sink for the next 12 hours. As a result, I couldn't wash any vegetables for dinner, clean any dishes, or drink tap water, for fear that the ceiling leak downstairs would worsen. Again, this was not deemed an emergency under Renaissance guidelines. Each time we talked with the staff at the leasing office about what transpired, we were met with a defensive attitude and a statement that these things were not their fault. After that, they told us that they could not give more info until their boss came back--which may be factually true, as the staff, forever newbies, seemingly change on a seasonal basis, such that their knowledge of apartment protocol and procedures is severely limited at best. And their magnum opus? Two years ago, I was carjacked after a knife was put to my throat. My sense of security fell to nil, and I had recurring nightmares for weeks afterward. Yet even after my wife explained the situation to the staff--I refused to talk with them by this point, lest my blood boil--they had zero sympathy. Instead, they charged me for changing the locks on the front door (the carjacker, of course, had a set of keys). To kick me down some more, they also charged me to replace the keyfob, which I kept on my keychain, to get into the swimming pool area. Yes, the charges were nominal, but their inability to empathize even a tiny amount was what was most glaring. We finally moved out a month ago. Having lived in the apartment for a year, we expected a deduction from our deposit, given normal wear and tear. As a final F U, however, we were surprised (though perhaps we shouldn't have been, given their track record) to find a $1000 bill for carpet replacement, egregious because the carpet was left in a pretty decent state. And nowhere in our contract did it state they we were responsible for replacing the entire carpet. When my wife called them to contest the bill, it took them a few days to get back to us. When they finally did, they brought the bill down to $450. I wrote them a check just so we could be forever done with them. But the fact that the bill could be so easily changed testifies to the arbitrary nature of their billing practices. This borders on extortion, as anything unpaid can go to collections, thus affecting our credit score. Ultimately, the leasing office staff punts responsibility off like a game of hot potato. You can make a legitimate argument that the Trump administration is more cohesively functional. I wish this was fiction, but I'm not that imaginative. Sadly, these are all cold, hard facts. I was an upstanding tenant. I paid my rent on time, owned no pets, and never hosted more than 2 visitors at a time. True, they didn't do anything glaringly illegal, but everything put together collectively caused a slow renter death--mine--by a thousand cuts. Here's hoping that future renters are much wiser than I was. I wouldn't wish their utter incompetence upon my worst enemy. read more

Checked up on this place and saw there weren't any recent reviews, thought I'd give you guys my two cents. Just moved in a few weeks ago and so far I like it. The complex may have been built in 1988 but they've been taking care and renovating the apartments. Mine still has the old style bathroom's with linoleum floors instead of the newer ones with tiled floors and granite counter tops, but its still very nice. You can see the natural wear on the cabinets and appliances, but its nothing more than ordinary. My favorite things about the apartment is how its well-lit and includes washer/dryer units in every apartment. As for parking and storage, one and two bedroom apartments get one assigned covered-spot but there's plenty of open parking spaces and street parking nearby -- I haven't had any trouble finding room. The parking lot's also undergoing repaving right now though it was fine before. Storage is on your porch/balcony. You get one or two locked, outdoor "closets" to store your things should you need it. They have a pool/fitness/business center, but they're all quite small. The pool isn't big enough to laps and usually has children playing in it on the weekends; there's a Jacuzzi for those interested. The fitness center is just a couple of cardio and weight machines, but at least they have a large screen TV in there so I can watch the Olympics. In the business center,There are three computers that are only good for web browsing, a large table, and supposedly WiFi but that hasn't been working for the three times I've visited. The downsides of this place? Sound travels from the pool to your apartment if you don't have other buildings blocking it; makes for an early wake-up call of noisy children on weekends if you're sensitive to that kind of sound. Its also a bit pricey but I don't mind paying that premium for all the other comforts they offer. Bonuses: they're right across the street from an elementary school and a nice park, if that interests you. read more

Being ripped off when moving out. Everything was not too bad until the lease ends. I hired a professional cleaning service to do my move-out cleaning, including carpet. The leasing office did the final inspection and did not notify me anything afterwards, and I thought they won't charge me extra cleaning fees and that's it. (The cleaning company promise they will re-do the cleaning work if I was charged by leasing office for cleaning) However, after 1 month, I got a $1000 bill saying they replaced my carpet. I was calling in to ask what this is about, and they were saying they found animal hair on the carpet and the room smells bad. I DO NOT even have a pet! I told them that I expect some one would tell me about the charge beforehand, rather than send me a bill out of nowhere after 1 month of me moving out. The manager is super unfriendly during the whole process. Won't recommend this place. Horrible moving out experience. There is a scam! Currently looking for solutions on BBB. Inside condition is generally good, but the appliances are old. My fridge and dryer didn't work well after 2 maintaining service. My bike was stolen when I was living there. There's a park next to the complex with many homeless guys. The only thing I liked living there, is that my neighbors are all friendly and nice, but I assume this is true for any 2000+ (1br) complex in south bay. read more

I've been lived here for about 2 months and I really like it! it's much better than my old apt. When I came to the leasing office for the first time, Bernadette showed me around, answered all my questions. She is so warm, friendly and helpful, I had a very good impression on the apartment right away! I like the apartment's floor plan --it's spacious! I like the locations --it's convenient for everything. I like the surroundings --it's quiet and close to Braly Park. The leasing office and maintenance team provide a great service/experiment too! BTW, the water pressure is good! I just love this apartment! It's worth the money. When you come here, ask for Bernadette! I'm sure you'll have a really good experience too! read more

Lived at the Renaissance for 1.5 or so years. I looked around for apartments in Sunnyvale and none really lived up to the pricetag and space for what they were asking. I went to Renaissance and met Nicole the manager and had a very pleasant experience. Bernadette and the rest of the staff were an absolute pleasure to work with. They have a sense of urgency and really pride themselves on customer service. Move out: The process couldn't have been easier. Nicole took care of us when we moved out and they processed the return deposit in a very timely manner. Pros: -Staff -customer service -big spacious 1 bdrm -some modern appliances -other tenants -Staff throws tenant events to bring the community together -Maintenance crew Cons: -location - for me (I like to go to SF and OAK a lot) -water pressure in shower is low (might just be me) - rent increases stink, it would be nice if the increases came with something extra not just because market rate -Teenagers using the parking lot to hangout (in summers only) -no central ac/heat -old window ac unit in only one room Only reason we left is because we moved to the east bay. If we ever came back to Sunnyvale Renaissance would definitely be on our go to apartment list. We don't live here yet but soon we'll call it home (just 6 more days to be exact). The whole experience from the time I inquired to the time we leased our apartment unit was nothing but awesome. For the first time, I saw an apartment that doesn't have the corporate feel. It has a very personal and family touch. A lot of these we credit to the leasing staff, Carla. She has made it a very pleasing experience for us. We have 2 large dogs and that limits us to the apartments we can live in. The property we were supposed to move in to pulled the rug on us last minute. Anxious and distraught. We scrambled and searched for a new one. Good thing we saw this property. Carla made it happen for us in 2 days. We love the property, the units are spacious, the layout is open and airy, and, most of all, it's literally a stone's throw away from the park (our dogs are gonna love it). read more

We have lived at Renaissance for a year and if we weren't relocating to San Diego, we would absolutely stay. Heck, I'd probably live here forever if we were staying in the area. When I was looking for a place to live, I noticed that this complex was the highest rated apartment complex I had come across, and now I know it's for good reason. I have never lived in such a well-maintained complex in all my life. I have literally seen workers outside wiping down the banisters on the staircases. The units are wonderful, with upgrades abounding. We have lived on the very top floor (with the fireplace!) and now we live in a 1st floor unit. I can sometimes hear my upstairs moving around, but hardly. The building is really well insulated. The great insulation also helps in my energy bill because our place stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. We use the pool constantly. It's the nicest pool I've ever had access too, heated year round and saline. (Note: Heated year round really means HEATED year round. Standards, people.) There are several community events through out the year, Santa and the Easter Bunny make appearances for example. So fun. I love the office staff. They have been so very accommodating and have taken great care of us. Every single issue we've had has been addressed quickly and with empathy and stellar customer service. We will miss Maggie, Bernadette, Paul, and Nicole when we move. Thank you for such a great experience. read more

My wife and I lived here for 4 years. Nicole and Carla were very friendly and professional. Maintenance requests were always fulfilled the next day. The grounds were kept clean and our building was dog friendly. The monthly rent increased 25% over our time at Renaissance while the cost of surrounding single family homes doubled. The office staff hosted community events such as: Luaus, Easter Egg Hunts, Halloween Parades, Christmas Party, etc... We loved the location as it was next to Braly park. This was ideal for walking our dog and playing tennis. It is also ~1.5 miles from the Sunnyvale Caltrain, which was critical to us when we moved in. We highly recommend Renaissance for anyone looking to rent. read more

We lived in Renaissance Apartments for almost five years, until we decided to move out of the area.  It is a very pleasant community - lots of redwood trees around and within the complex, and the landscaping is well maintained.  The neighboring park cannot be beat.  The property managers, Nicole (for most of our time there) and Amica, and their staff and maintenance guys are wonderful to work with!  They always were helpful and listened to our requests.  We really enjoyed our time here. read more

Renaissance Apartments is run by the team of outstanding people and we are absolutely blessed by their courteous professionalism! The premises are well maintained and lit, pool is always clean, office is always featuring yummy snacks and water for visitors, garbage is always picked up on time, plants trimmed, mail distributed and proper announcements delivered in a timely manner. Seriously, it gets better! The team organizes all-tenants events, such as wine and cheese event, BBQ and pizza, kids face painting and bouncing house activities, yay!!! Plus, if there is an emergency or serious need, you can always reach out and ask for assistance from off hours staff member. Combine all of this with a close proximity to highway 101, 237, 280 and Central Expressway, you get yourself a great luxurious apartment home in the heart of Silicon Valley! Oh, did I tell you it's also a walkable distance to Downtown Sunnyvale, future of new AMC and Whole Foods spot? Love it here! Thank you, Renaissance! read more

We lived at Renaissance for a little over 2 years and would have loved to stay there longer if I wasn't relocating closer to work. I was living with 2 other roommates in a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartment. These configurations are hard to come by. It was awesome because the rooms were also pretty evenly sized! I never had any problems living in this complex. It was very well maintained and the management staff was very prompt and receptive to our needs. Our apartment had brand new appliances in the kitchen and the bathrooms had fresh granite countertops. The bedrooms are all equipped with a fan and a light (which is rare in many apartments). The buildings themselves are pretty well insulated so you wouldn't need to run the heating/cooling system as much. They have a great communal area with a well maintained pool and a garden area with benches to relax as well. There is a small kid friendly area. The management host many community events through the year such as the Easter Egg Hunt and a Christmas party. It is in close proximity many good restaurants, Safeway and Braly Park for running, or playing tennis. There is a gas station nearby as well as an added convenience. It has a small fitness center located near the leasing center which is pretty adequate to get a quick workout done. The business center was very convenient to get printouts and copies made. My only feedback was the lack of covered parking. We were 3 of us staying in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment and we got only 1 covered spot. There are plenty of uncovered spaces but they are located on the far end of the community so it is a bit of a walk depending on which side of the complex you stay. Overall, I have nothing to complain about. I had a great time here and would highly recommend it to prospective renters. read more

I have been living here for the past 1 year and it has been a fantastic experience. The staff is very courteous and respectful. Every single maintenance issue gets resolved within a day. The surrounding area is very good too; there is a nice park called 'Braly Park' almost attached to the community. There is always plenty of guest parking available at all times. The car-wash area is a real bonus! The only small downside I would mention is that the air-conditioner exists only in the living room. It gets hot in the summer and would be good to have the apartment centrally air-conditioned. P.S.: Ask for Bernadette, when you come here to view the apartment.
