Here are some of my thoughts in bullet format: * They'll accept your mail + packages and deliver to you, depending on plan. * Super friendly, kind, personable and jovial staff. Aly and Anne are the bee's knees! * 20% off education discount * Different plans according to your needs or budget. You can get a private office, a dedicated desk, a cafe membership (this means you find an open spot), or just join for the day. You can also get a la carte services, ie rolling filing cabinet, book conference rooms, etc. * Decent kitchen area with free Starbucks brand coffee. Plates, utensils, glasses, napkins etc. They have two large fridges and a microwave. * Clean! This is not your average dingy coworking space with half-empty coffee cups everywhere. An OCD'ers dream! Their cleaning crew is fantastic and keeps the place looking great. * Relatively quiet; great for concentration & hours of focus. The decibels never get to an obnoxious level. * Community & holiday events, mainly centered around food :) * Dozens of great restaurants, just downstairs on the main Murphy Ave strip. * Great coworkers including designers, developers, startup teams, founders, authors, creative directors and nice people of all stripes. They love to bury you in hidden fees, scripted customer-service replies, and policies that make it impossible to leave without losing money. Even returning a simple access card becomes a drawn-out process designed to squeeze a few more dollars out of you. This company thrives on confusion, not customer care. If there were an option to give zero stars, I would. Regus is the definition of corporate greed dressed up as "flexible workspace." Avoid at all costs.

Pre-COVID, I would avoid a one-hour long commute to work on occasion as my employer partnered with Star Space as a remote working location for their employees. There are numerous working environments (some formal, some informal, and also includes an outdoor patio that has WiFi connectivity) that are all set up with external monitors and peripherals. The printing is fast and there are conference rooms that can be reserved in advance for a small fee. There are sometimes community events meant to bring together those using the co-working space to get to know each other and exchange ideas. Post-COVID, they have aligned with proper precautions for the county and I feel completely safe working from there. There is a key fob that you can use during and after-hours, truly making this workplace accessible 24/7. Their kitchen is also fantastic. It is usually stocked with many single-serve type items (think cheese, hummus, pickle pouches, fruits, trail-mix type snacks, and beverages galore). Microwave, kitchen, and non-stop coffee. (There is oddly a premium coffee machine up front that I have NEVER seen been used as they charge a fee. This seems like it is a waste and should just be made available for users to make their own coffee.). Lunch is usually via a group DoorDash, but I find it easier and cheaper to often order separately and have it delivered to the the front door. All-in-all, Star Space is a wonderful co-working space that allows me to work outside the distracting environment in my own home, but not having to commute to my regular workplace or to another distracting environment like the library or coffee shops. The accelerator had a wonderful sense of camaraderie and was a supportive environment in which to learn business essentials, and to learn from each other. Outside the accelerator program, the Dojo is a really friendly, grass-roots environment in which people can hang out, do work, and share ideas, and the people in charge of it are very passionate about it. (As an example of it being a friendly place, one of the regulars there impromptu-shared delicious bacon sandwiches that he had just barbequed.) I've grown very fond of it.

Beware of post-cancellation charges and unresponsive billing support…read more I signed up for Spaces Santa Clara because the workspace itself looked great--clean design, solid Wi-Fi, and a personable front-desk team. Unfortunately, everything unraveled once I decided to leave. Clunky, confusing cancellation: Finding the cancellation option on the Regus/Spaces member portal felt like a scavenger hunt. It's buried under several sub-menus, and the wording is anything but clear. After far too much clicking around, I finally submitted the request and even received written confirmation. Still charged--twice: Despite cancelling, my card was hit with charge in back-to-back months. I emailed billing support immediately and looped in a regional manager. Aside from automated "we've received your request" replies, there's been radio silence--no timeline, no accountability, no refund. Bottom line: The workspace may look polished, but their backend systems and customer support are anything but. If you join: Screenshot every step of your cancellation. Monitor your statements like a hawk. Be prepared to chase down refunds on your own time. Until Spaces Santa Clara (and parent company Regus) streamline their cancellation flow and fix their billing follow-up, I can't recommend them.

Update: THEY ARE…read moreSTILL CHARGING. Once you give them your credit card number, they will go and charge it up. They'll run you around in circles, tell you to do this to cancel, do that to cancel, and you can do everything they tell you to do and get all the confirmation emails. A week later, still charging. How does the billing work? My first visit was just over 60 days ago and they've now charged me for 4 months of billing cycles. Do you have to pay 2 months ahead now? 100% contrary to what the guy that gave me the tour explained. I came in for a free visit and walk through. Walk through was pretty basic, just showed me the tables and benches that were available for use if you didn't have a private office. At this time, the rep explained that I can sign up now for a prorated rate (three weeks of the month left) and that I will NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL A MONTH AFTER (after three weeks), so I have a chance to try it out and cancel. At this time he also advised to go on auto pay because missed payment will TERMINATE the agreement and I will lose access. So to avoid disruption, go on autopay. Okay, so I take him at his word and sign up. I was kind of wondering what now, I visited once but it was pretty loud, no better than a cafe. I noticed the next month that an auto pay had be rejected and cancelled from them. I didn't think it was very good value, and I didn't get anything out of the experience but some noisy tables. Nothing to explain how anything worked, do I need to sign in? How much of the facility is off limits for the membership? I don't know, so I thought it best to let it TERMINATE PER what the rep had said. Fast forward another month and I get an email from their sales rep, finally contacting me to see what my needs are. I was surprised, the guy I spoke with stated that cancelled payments would terminate the agreement. So I put in a complain, this person Mary says its not her deal and that I should cancel. So I cancel and she forwards me to another person. Speak with them, and this person doesn't see an issue because he notices I just cancelled with them recently. I look back, my credit card had rejected their payments because they've tried to charge nearly 3 months of membership fees within a 4 week period! Not only was the prorated monthly get charged, they charged another FULL month's of membership a week after, and tried to charge another full month's of membership just a few weeks after that. THEIR BILLING PRACTICES FLAG YOUR CREDIT CARD AS SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY. And I also find out they've eventually did get their money. Only response by Justin Wilson who I spoke with, is that these are their terms and they can't help with something they didn't know about. Well, they know about it now, and still, nothing helpful. I have expressed that I am still unclear on their terms of billing. They refuse to be helpful, so did I pay for 3 months? When does the billing term end? Do I still get to visit? Or are you going to return the money?

Almost got literally stuck at the door while the event is only a few meters away from me unless they force the host to come out and get me. Absolutely Ridiculous.

However, when we decided to move out, the owner, Shri Chawla, refused to return security deposit to us. He didn't reply any messages, nor did he send any receipts for our money. We were a long time tenant at this working space and helped him fix computer issues. We definitely show our best effort to help his business as well. His attitude makes me sick. DO NOT rent a working space from him. He is moving his working space to 4019 Transport St Palo Alto, CA and 4039 Transport St, Palo Alto, CA, 94303. It is not a sterile office environment. I have strongly recommended Pacific Workplaces to new business people in the past and will continue to do so. What made The Meadows so great was the combination of the people, the property, and the location. The management and maintenance teams were wonderful throughout my time here, the community was friendly, and the grounds were always exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. There's a ton of greenery throughout the property, and it always felt like the people taking care of the community genuinely cared about making it a nice place to live. That experience started before I even moved in. The leasing staff took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find a unit that fit my preferences. They were even gracious enough to work with me on getting a better deal. Looking back, that first interaction was a pretty good indication of how I'd be treated over the next three years. I also really appreciated how reasonable management was when it came to renewals. Even with the rent-control limits on annual increases, my rent generally went up by less than what they could have charged. I never felt like management was trying to squeeze as much as possible out of existing residents, which unfortunately isn't something I can say about every apartment community in the Bay Area. Maintenance was excellent too, although, honestly, the fact that I only had a single maintenance request in more than three years probably says something on its own. When I did need help, everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The Meadows is also easily one of the cleanest apartment communities I've ever seen. When I moved in, it was obvious that they had put real care into preparing and cleaning the unit. As someone who is pretty particular about keeping my own home clean, I appreciated that. I noticed the same attention to detail when I moved out and saw the cleaning checklist they use to prepare apartments for the next resident. It was surprisingly close to the kind of checklist I'd make myself. My apartment had wonderful natural light and became an incredibly cozy home for me. I faced the expressway, and while there was a small amount of road noise, it was never enough to really bother me. More than anything, I loved coming home every day. That may be the simplest and most important compliment I can give a place where I spent more than three years. The location was great as well. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby, plenty of good routes for running and walking, and it's incredibly easy to get onto highways. The property itself also has great amenities, and I particularly appreciated how well the gym was maintained. Despite being so conveniently located, the community always felt comfortable and safe. I never felt uneasy living or walking around here. There were also community events throughout the year that brought residents together. I certainly didn't go to every one, but I appreciated that they existed and that management put real effort into making The Meadows feel like a community rather than just a collection of apartments. Even moving out was surprisingly easy. Everything was handled professionally and straightforwardly, without unnecessary stress or surprises. It was nice that my last experience with the management team was just as positive as my first. The only reason I moved was because I wanted to live in a different part of the Bay Area. It had nothing to do with The Meadows itself. Over the years I visited plenty of other apartment communities where friends and coworkers lived, and I honestly never came away wishing I had chosen somewhere else. It's rare to leave an apartment feeling genuinely sad to go, but The Meadows really became home for me. I looked forward to coming home every day, and I'm incredibly happy I stayed as long as I did.
