Have been living here a couple of months and can't say anything but positive things about this property. Suzanne, Elizabeth and the rest of the staff were super friendly and quick to respond when needed. The property is up kept and there is often some improvements going on. There is also so much greenery and fruit plants on the property. It is pet friendly and so far all the people living here are super friendly and actually make eye contact when you pass each other. Big plus on having a dog wash station too! Lots of parking available if you don't reserve any on the property and very convenient are with access to freeways. read more

We've been living in these apartments for over 4 years now. It's perfectly located for us. The grounds have lots of trees, a pond and overall feel very homey. I've been here several years, and it's a very nice place to be. It's centrally located, and Mountain View's Castro Street, with its plethora of restaurants, is just minutes away. I appreciate the quality construction! I don't hear my neighbors, and the insulation is really appreciated, both in winter and summer. It does lack air conditioning, though, but you can get room units. Office staff is great, always helpful. The grounds are beautiful, but like most busy people, I never have time to look at them. I really should. There's an onsite delivery locker, so you don't have to worry about your amazon deliveries. read more

My boyfriend and I have lived here for about 6 years now and Brookside has improved sooo much over the years. I remember when the buildings used to be beige! In the last year I've seen so many great improvements and additions to our amenities (yay dog washing station!). In addition to feeling like you're in your own garden oasis with the ponds and greenery around the complex, I believe a big part of the improvements are due to Elizabeth, Suzanne and the maintenance team for always listening to residents' suggestions and addressing issues in a timely manner. They've also fostered a community here with monthly resident celebrations and their friendly nature. read more

There were quite a few issues with our apartment when we moved in. But Marisa called Elias in to fix things and he was absolutely incredible in helping us out. He came in and fixed the issues we had with the dishwasher, washer/dryer, shower, kitchen sink, toilet etc. like a one man army. He even gave us practical solutions to what were annoyances that were outside either of our control. To be clear, this really isn't a part of his job, so he didn't really have to help us with this, but he did anyway. The previous person who came by to fix things was rather dismissive of these issues. So reason for 4 stars Con - Why were there so many issues in the first place? Pros - (1) Elias. Recently moved out of brookside but wanted to write a review of my experience! The good: -beautifully landscaped and landscapers come every week! -Dianna and Tim are the complex managers and respond in a timely fashion, very friendly, and make sure you are heard -they have dog treats in the lobby! -dog friendly! -quick walk to sylvan park and tennis courts -maintenance would solve/do most fixes in 24hrs or less and you could just schedule on your phone! Cons: -some units are older but most if not all are updated. Personal preference rather than a problem! Is anyone having issues having their rent adjusted based on their non compliance with the City of Mountain View and the Rent Stabilization? In 2021 and 2022 they were not compliant with the city and illegally raised rents. The City notified me in October and to date they have not resolved my issue. Writing this long-overdue review of Brookside Park. We lived there for 13 years and recently moved away overseas. During those years we have seen Brookside Park evolve under various management. While it is an older property that doesn't have AC in the units, the upside is that its grounds as well as floor plans are very spacious, and you will find beautiful large trees that provide some nice shade during hot summer days and a lovely atmosphere in general. What kept us there for such a long time was the serene park-like setting with a beautiful pond, trees, a huge swimming pool, spa, fitness room, comparably large floor plans, and the wonderful community of people living there with many friendships made. It's also worth mentioning that Brookside Park has been a great place for families with children and been very pet friendly too. I want to especially highlight the wonderful, friendly recent property management staff Elizabeth and Suzanne, who doubled down on further strengthening this community and organized frequent opportunities for community members to get together. I much appreciated them reaching out to tenants and asking for input on desired property improvements, which for instance resulted in a brand-new fitness center, pool upgrade and new outdoor furniture. Last but not least, another big thank you to Elizabeth who was always available for questions and was always very helpful, also when we moved out due to our relocation overseas. read more

This community has a very beautiful garden, with my apartment facing it, I feels like I am meditating here. The community is quiet, clean and safe. The apartment is spacious and bright, appliances/equipments were either new or cleaned, they were well selected to match with each others. I particularly appreciate Elizabeth LEE from the leasing office. She was very patient, guided us to all 4 of the apartments, answering all the questions we had professionally. She made everything smooth and followed up with us even after we have moved in. Thank you Elizabeth. The maintenance team is also responsive and professional, they helped us within an hour after I had submitted the request. Overall we are satisfied with Brookside Park. The apartment, surroundings are nice, clean and secure. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a well managed and safe community to stay. read more

We moved in at 2018 august and have been here for almost 2 years in a 2bed/1.5 bath apartment Overall, i like the location and the basic floorplan of the apartment and would rent again. Good part: Living room/dining room are spacious I like the fact they are carpeted over having hard wood (but i guess this would be a con to many) Dual pane windows and mirrored closet doors Dianne and Tim both are pretty responsive to any complaints brought up to them Maintaince folks are friendly and responsive. In house washer drying (though that is in the bedroom which was weird to me at first) Rent though not cheap at 3k is resonable and this is mountain view so there is rent control Cons: The apartments are not exactly new. Rennovation make it look newer from the outside than it is in the inside. So with old apartment you get baseboard heaters which i dislike The storage space inside the apartment is limited inspite of being a old apartment (the master bed had a good size closet, but the second bedroom has a closet outside. That and a closet for coats is all the storage you get in the apartment. They do give you a reasonable size storage with the car port so its not as bad as it sounds. Is very near to the 85 exit so if you are living in the 13x series apartment there will be freeway noise when you open the windows. read more

On November 6, 2023, four (4) cars windows got broken and two cars trunks were looted, for a total of six cars looted in the parking lot on the same day. Just imagine the past days/months/years. I also came to know a few lost catalytic converters and car tires were striped out, and a lot of shipping packages were looted in front of the door. a lot of strangers knocking on doors late at night. Management is not taking any measures, rather than balming the tenant. This is a pet-friendly community, but some dogs are not well trained and have tried to jump on us while walking in the community. This place is not worth paying such a high rent with a lot of serious safety issues. A lot of people liked this place at first, but after terminating the contract and moving out of this community due to safety concerns, one of the biggest primary issues was overlooked by the management. Management talks very nicely, but no security measures have been added so far. I stayed for 4 years in this beautiful and inviting community in Mountain View, CA, and absolutely enjoyed my time. The community is super well maintained with lots of greenery with fruits trees like plums, figs, pomegranates, oranges, apples, etc. Waking up to the flowing creeks, chirping birds, ducks, squirrels, and hummingbirds makes the days very pleasant and refreshing. All of these make it more of a resort kind of setting than an apartment complex. Marisa Rosales recently came over as the community manager and took the experience a couple of notches higher -- she's welcoming, always available, super responsive, and hosts events to get the community members together. One could easily see her genuine commitment and desire to make this a fantastic place for the residents. The maintenance support line is quite responsive and does a thorough job whenever we needed their help. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking to stay in the south bay. read more

My roommates and I are on our way out and I just wanted to take the time to thank Marisa Rosales. Prior to her involvement at Brookside you could go to the front office at pretty much any part of the day and it would be locked with a "be back soon" sign, however, no one would ever be there. With Marisa here now, I have never had that problem. She is always available and more then welcoming in the front office, she answers my questions, gives me advice, all of the above! Honestly, I'm sad to be going now and wish she was here during my whole tenancy. On a separate note, I think it is worth mentioning (purely because it bugs me) that you cannot pay rent conveniently at Brookside. When we first moved in you were able to simply write a check and drop it off at the office or you could pay a "convenience fee" that is 4% of your rent (for us around $80) to do it online... I would assume that paying online is convenient for everyone but apparently not so they have to charge me a ridiculous fee... A little over halfway into us living here they sent out a notice saying they will no longer be excepting checks in the front office and you have to send it away to a PO Box in order to pay rent if you don't want to pay online...kinda ridiculous if you ask me. read more

This place is a nightmare and a joke. Management is useless and incompetent. They look for issues with residents. I have gotten notes at my door as "warnings" to move my bike off of my balcony (this being ALLOWED was clarified prior to moving in), as well and removing the pair of shoes from my front door; I am an ER doctor and absolutely not going to wear my work shoes into my small apartment. The construction is never ending. If you work from home or want to sleep past 7 AM, not a good place for you. Water shut off with one notice, regularly. Internet shut offs with ONE day notice, multiple times in the past couple months. For quality of life, go elsewhere!!! read more

Just a quick update that, now almost a year in, we decided to renew our lease. To the credit of the staff at Brookside Park, our initial complaints were all eventually resolved. All of the pros from our original review still hold true. To recap, the total list of things fixed: * Bathroom mirror replaced * Vertical blinds were totally replaced with new, horizontal blinds * New shower door was installed * Stove was replaced * Bathroom was recaulked, and some parts of the wall repainted * Sink cap was replaced * Door jamb and new door knob installed Some additional negatives that we didn't mention before: * We noticed lots of hairs stuck on / painted into the walls, especially the bedroom. Probably the team that cleaned this unit before we moved in didn't do a thorough job. * All cabinets had an old, musty smell, which took us a long time to slowly remove. * The appliances all looked new, but their quality hasn't been great. It feels like they took old appliances and put newer, shiny doors on them. * The kitchen faucet started leaking within a year - however, they did replace it when we notified them. But, you know, we decided to stay, all things considered. read more

I called Brookside yesterday and scheduled a tour for the next day based off of the quote that was given to me over the phone: $2,181 for a one bedroom. Great done. I showed up this morning at 9:30am, was looked at by one of Brookside's employees who didn't even come out of his office to greet me and he just sat at his desk, and the first thing he said to me was "What's your budget?" Wow. Okay. I explained I made an appointment to view a one bedroom and he said the one he had available was over $2,500. I stated that is not what was told to me over the phone and on the Brookside website there's a quote similar to the one originally given to me. He said the price is what the manager told him and I asked if he could call the manager because that's not the quote I was given. He said no and I said a thing or two a left. I've never felt so disrespected and would like your company to know that your employees should treat people with kindness and if a unit is no longer available and you know someone is coming to look at it, have the decency to call the prospective renter and tell them it's no longer available. Thank you for wasting my time and getting my hopes up. read more

I have lived in Brookside Park for a couple of years, and my experience has been outstanding. The grounds are lovely, and all the amenities, such as the new GYM, Pool, Jacuzzi, and Club House. There is also a new Dog spa coming soon. There are charges for EVs and plenty of parking. The layout of the apartments is spacious and well-maintained. If there is a maintenance request, their staff is very responsive and usually are addressing it the same day. Overall, a great place to live close to parks, down town Mt View, and hospitals/stores. read more

My apartment is very spacious the carpet is nice, the appliances are great! The only thing I would change if possible would be to upgrade the kitchen cabinets, however, they look and work fine as is just are old...(my personal wish list).
