    We moved into this "luxury" apartment in March 2022 as Cerano Apartments and moved out in September of 2024 under Griffis Southbay. The transition to Griffis was difficult, the staff turnover greatly affected the residents. There was less people available to help solve issues with parking/elevators etc. The community itself is dirty, trash is found around the property and in the garage. You would often find children in the game room unsupervised and pet eliminations in the garage and elevator. There were very few improvements that impacted the residence over the years we were there which in our view did not justify the constant increases in rent. The cost of the unit was high considering location within the community and in the apartment complex. We were about half a mile from public transportation, a quarter mile from the nearest grocery store and walking distance to a small park. There was a nice part of the creek trail along the back of the complex. Our apartment was right in front of the garbage room and garage so we were always exposed to loud noises. The community partook in Valet Trash (an additional monthly charge that was non-negotiable) so they would come to the door to pick up trash, which was great because the trash chutes were always full. Parking was incredibly difficult, we are never able to park on our floor and conditions in the garage are unsafe--speeding motorists making unsafe turns at high speeds. Speed bumps are present in the garage, but do not deter unsafe behavior. We learned that our lease was never audited and whoever made our lease in 2022 and then renewed the lease in 2023 never added on parking permits. Were told that if we renewed our lease we would not only expect a 5-7% increase in rent (again), but we would have to pay $150 per vehicle for parking--parking on our own floor would only be guaranteed if we reserved an additional spot at an additional cost. They have ample parking for electric vehicles--while we lived there they installed 10 new spots per floor forcing more people to park on the 5th floor. We frequently had packages go missing from our door steps or mail room, my inhaler was stolen from our door step within 5 minutes of being delivered. There were so many fire alarm testing and the alarm had gone off at 2-3 AM several times.. All of these concerns were brought to the attention to the leasing office multiple times, (i have email chains for daaaays) yet our concerns did not get addressed in a productive way and despite all our communication we were asked what our reasons for leaving were... Wouldn't not recommend or voluntarily be residents again. Attached are photos out our apartment know now as "Braly"

    First off let me start off by saying the company grips of South Bay apartment homes is very disrespectful and untimely with their appointments also they are rude customer service and they act like they didn't even acknowledge me and my daughter as we waited in the waiting room and then we went outside right out the door to get fresh air and we let the secretary know and the person has never got back to us that told us to wait outside it's okay but I feel like we're being discriminated and also feel like they are unorthodox In real tme my appointment was at 4:45 and it is now 5:32 nobody has even came out to speak with us or even made any motion or any attempts to reach out to me on behalf of showing an apartment or any interest of who's on property or just anything involving this appointment that was already secured in time so I don't think it's going to be good place not for family orientated enough for people who are human beings they seem like they're robotic AI driven are they just going to give a damn. But one star on my list.n enclosed that I hate it here not nice people

    Our toilet flush stopped working suddenly and water in our bath tub was not flowing fast. They fixed if very fast and very efficiently.

Why I Love It (The Best Features) 1. Having Trader Joe's directly downstairs is honestly life-changing; it makes our day-to-day so efficient! The communal spaces are awesome for hosting and staying active. The heated jacuzzi on cold cloudy days is absolutely lovely. 4. EV Chargers. Why I'm Hesitant (The Key Drawbacks) Outdated Washer & Dryer: Newer models would be a game-changer. These in-unit W/D units are loud, inefficient, and have sadly ruined some of our clothes due to their limiting features. Zero Cell Signal: The near-total lack of phone carrier signal in the apartment is a huge challenge. I struggle especially when hosting guests since there's no way to connect, and I'd feel much safer knowing I could call anyone anytime. Odd Design: This might be personal, but the layouts of the courtyard-facing '18' units feel very odd and not functional. Even the storage unit I purchased is strangely made, with underutilized space and no lighting. In summary, these favorite and non-favorite features are the big push and pull factors defining our experience here.

The manager, Lenore, has known us from a previous complex and also since last year in this building. If you are looking for privacy, this is not the place. Management will bother you weekly and often does not properly address your concerns. For example, when we complained to Eyana about cigarette smoke coming from our neighbors, she dismissed our concern and the way she communicates can feel unpleasant and disrespectful. Ironically, those same neighbors who smoke are also the ones who keep making obsessive complaints about us. Only after we escalated the issue to the property director, Christina, was the cigarette situation finally addressed. In all the years we have lived in apartment buildings, we have never had complaints about us, including last year when we lived in the same building on the same floor before moving to a larger unit. And here we are constantly being called and bothered by the office. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this place, especially when the staff makes you feel uncomfortable in your own home.

I get the benefits of living at Turing (pool, retail, central Milpitas location) but with a nicer unit and a more intimate community feel. I find this place to be absolutely perfect for me as someone that works nearby, likes to take BART/VTA places, and appreciates the upgraded fixtures, appliances, and layout of Graham. I find the mail room and the garage feel more secure than Turing, even if they share a patrol at night just by the nature of it being a smaller community. Just overall less people coming and going. The maintenance crew are also fantastic and always personable when I run into them. Cody's been very helpful with the few issues in my apt I had and is always genuinely nice. Joseph, Lily, and the leasing office folks are also always welcoming and willing to help. Plus the location is getting better and better. There's Trader Joes, and now a Starbucks, with soon to be a Slice House - only three VTA stops down the road from Levi's Stadium and you have the mall/Home Depot across the street.

This is normal behavior, but to her it's as if I am a sort of stalker? This is messed up and incredibly disrespectful. To hear her use a harsh and aggressive tone to me, saying to keep my distance. Quoting "I don't let men, women, or kids near me." Excuse me? For her to rudely say: or the tour will end here...what? Then why do you work in a job interacting with people? The whole tour was ruined due to this individuals disrespectful behavior. I do not know if she has mental issues, a stalker, or dislikes people? But if she clearly cannot handle visitors just following her around at a normal pace, she should not be allowed to work there.

Today, two of us were walking through chatting, and a Meadows property manager/worker yelled at us from across the parking lot, maybe 40 yards away, asking who we were. Thinking he had mental issues or a salesman, we kept walking. He then approached and harassed us, screaming about how we were trespassing, continuing verbal abuse and harassment and followed us until we left the property. We talked quietly, did not approach anyone, hang door tags, play music, or toss trash. We didn't go into the center apartment area. We're both computer professionals. This employee could have gotten on his golf cart and quietly told us sorry we cannot walk thru his parking lot and to kindly exit the premises. Instead, he chose to yell threateningly across a parking lot and come after us with verbal abuse. A good way to judge apartment management is how they treat visitors. Because as residents, you're going to get more of that - or worse. Stay away from this complex.

Meadows is very safe and it's also in a good location - it is right off of Central expressway and it's close to 237 and 101. Apartment was spacious as well. I also thought the gym was great and bigger than a lot of other apartment gyms so amenities as good here. There is a community pool as well. The management company was very responsive with service requests. We had an issue where the central AC was spewing out dead bugs so the maintenance team quickly came in and gave us a new AC. Meadows also hosts some events every couple months (coffee station, Easter egg hunt, food trucks, etc.) which made the apartment complex feel more like a community. One of the drawbacks about this complex is the lack of natural light in the some of the apartments. Because of all the tall redwood trees and the direction of our apartment, we didn't get much light. For the most part, we had our lamps turned on all the time. And because of the trees, leaves would fall into our balcony so we had to frequently clean that up. We decided to leave once the lease was up as we found a place with more natural light closer to our offices and meadows was going to increase the rent by $250 a month. If it wasn't for the light situation, probably would have continued to stay here. Overall I enjoyed living here, and if you are ok with less natural light or you are able to get an apartment facing the right direction, then I recommend!

The place is nice and cozy with your own balcony/patio. My name is on the lease and dealt with the staff. They are one of the most responsive ladies I've had the pleasure of dealing with. They were prompt in responding to any questions. They were very helpful, kind and professional. Shout out to Amica and Joc. They run Renaissance apartment with compassion, kindness and professionalism. Parking is not a problem at all. You have an assigned covered parking and lots of guest parking. They have lots of EV charging station as well. The move out process was seamless. We got our security deposit back less cleaning service as I am not about to spend my days cleaning it lol. We felt safe here. There's a patrol car/guard going around the complex. THANK YOU Renaissance apartments and to your staff for an amazing 3 years. I highly recommend this place.

A special shoutout to Johniquewa, who goes above and beyond to make the complex feel both professional and warm. Her friendly demeanor has truly made a difference in our experience. We've loved our time here, and if we ever return to Sunnyvale or the South Bay Area, Renaissance will be at the top of our list. Highly recommend! PS. He was replaced. The building manager at the time Valerie advocated for the residents, the current manager who replaced Valerie is nice but that's about it. She is rarely in the office and is afraid to post about resident complaints for fear of upsetting I don't know but she is not fit for the position. She is afraid of the residents. There is very little storage in the apts, there are zero amenities, and the rent is overpriced for what one gets. The plumbing is horrible. Apartments regularly get flooded. A professional team is then called in immediately. One goes through the nightmare of moving out their entire rooms by themselves, has to endure loud fans for entire days and nights, and then wait out the entire remodel which could take up to 2 weeks. One is not compensated in any way, they don't even offer to pay your electric bill for the excessive use of corporate fans and tools. In short, if you are looking to pay for a safe space that will meet all of your needs, go elsewhere. This place is a greedy hole.
