This is my second year at Turing, and I've genuinely loved calling this place home, but the major drawbacks here sometimes make me seriously doubt the value we're paying for. Why I Love It (The Best Features) 1. Having Trader Joe's directly downstairs is honestly life-changing; it makes our day-to-day so efficient! This was a compelling reason we decided to extend our lease. 2. Management is super kind, responsive, and really helpful when resolving issues. That makes a huge difference. 3. The communal spaces are awesome for hosting and staying active. The heated jacuzzi on cold cloudy days is absolutely lovely. 4. EV Chargers. Why I'm Hesitant (The Key Drawbacks) Outdated Washer & Dryer: Newer models would be a game-changer. These in-unit W/D units are loud, inefficient, and have sadly ruined some of our clothes due to their limiting features. Zero Cell Signal: The near-total lack of phone carrier signal in the apartment is a huge challenge. I struggle especially when hosting guests since there's no way to connect, and I'd feel much safer knowing I could call anyone anytime. Odd Design: This might be personal, but the layouts of the courtyard-facing '18' units feel very odd and not functional. Even the storage unit I purchased is strangely made, with underutilized space and no lighting. In summary, these favorite and non-favorite features are the big push and pull factors defining our experience here. read more

Turing Apartments is really starting to feel sketchy, especially when it comes to car safety. My friend's EV got broken into here, and it's not just a one-off. I keep seeing broken glass all over the parking lot from other cars getting hit too. You'd think the management would step up, but nope. Instead of tightening security or replacing the busted gate that's always breaking down and constantly needs fixing, they seem more interested in handing out tickets to EVs parked in charging spots but not plugged in. They're so focused on ticketing EVs that they actually check the empty EV parking spots in the morning to make sure you're not parked there without being plugged in. Like, seriously? It's wild that they're more concerned about minor stuff like that instead of addressing the real problem of cars getting jacked. If you're thinking about moving here, just know that keeping your ride safe isn't exactly their priority. They really need to replace that faulty gate and get their priorities straight. They DONT CARE at all about your personal space or privacy. They refuse to work with you or schedule with yoU when they have their periodic "inspections" of various sorts and leave themselves the widest timeframe possible: 9-5pm. This also happens to be when you are AT WORK. So their random subcontractor will be entering you house unannounced going around the house disturbing the pets and risking your property. Even if you explain to them that you have pets and that you are not comfortable with somebody randomly opening your door - they explain "the building is theirs" and essentially it's your problem as the resident. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE / RESIDENT CARE. THEY THINK LEAVING YOU A STINKING NOTE ON THE DOOR ABSOLVES THEM OF ALL RESPONSIBILITY TO THEIR RESIDENTS. DO NOT RENT HERE !!!!!!! read more

Turing at the Fields - Apartments Near Me - Milpitas, California

Love the location and amenities of this building but it's a crime hotspot and I do not feel safe. My partner and I have lived here since the pandemic and witnessed two occasions where cars filled with men were scoping vehicles. One incident occurred inside the gated parking garage and one inside the garage. Week after Christmas, my partners car had hand marks on the window where someone was clearing the dust away to peak inside the car and view what's inside, while the car adjacent had a smashed in window. This Saturday (Jan 6, 2024), I witnessed another theft in action. I came home around 4:30pm-5pm to find a rough looking man walking within the gated parking garage and acting suspicious. He was cautiously glancing back at me as I drove past him. In all honesty, he looked like he was just released from prison and gave me an unsettling feeling. Came home, told my partner about it and a few hours later I went back to where I saw him, only to find the car he was near had been tampered with. I'm a woman that leaves for work at 6:30AM and am terrified to walk in the garage and be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Turing and Lyon Living need to revise their current security systems because they're not effective. Lastly, we have three friends in the building and each one has had things stolen while living here. One had their bike stolen (inside bike locker), another had a moped stolen (inside gated garage) and our last friend had his car broken into and paperwork stolen (outside of gated part but within the garage). Think twice if you want peace of mind where you reside. I will not be renewing my lease after this contract. read more

Great place to live. Management and maintenance team are always available and very responsive!. The manager(Heather) is super nice and always willing to help out. I have been here for about a year and a half and I couldn't be any happier with the community and the services. Would highly recommend! I moved out in Aug and immediately regretted my decision. Have been a resident here for a couple months now and it has been amazing. When I first came in for a viewing, both leasing associates Aj and Kimi were very helpful in answering various questions about the property, amenities, security, management and the surrounding areas. They were very informing and it gave me the confidence to make the choice to move in. The management team were also very welcoming on my first week coming in, especially Heather and Shy. They made sure that I felt safe in the space and gave me room to voice any concerns I had with my apartment and/or other concerns within the property. They were very quick to assist and I left the conversations feeling heard. Overall, this property has really outdone itself compared to other places. The team here is really helpful and I believe that other residents can agree. So, after living here for a while, I've begun to notice there's a lot of issues with this property. The walls are paper thin and you will hear your neighbor upstairs walking around and memorize their routine. I know my upstairs neighbor loves to have ginger juice in her drink every morning because I hear her pounding the ginger every day. I complained to the property manager and they said I need to take a video and prove it LMAO. The gate has been broken and nobody has done anything to fix it. This is allowed thieves to come into the property and attempt to steal my vehicle while I was out at work now I have to pay out-of-pocket to fix my vehicle and the property will not do anything about it. I recently moved out of this building and wanted to share my experience with anyone considering this property. Great amenities but we had to end our lease early after living here for over 2 years. The primary issue was disruptive neighbors who frequently ignored quiet hours (post midnight!). Just imagine your sleep getting disrupted every couple of hours. Despite multiple (10+) complaints over a three month period, management seeing for themselves the issue and agreeing the inconvenience it was causing, the only action they took was "talk to the resident". Their proposed solution was we moving to another apartment and pay for the moving charges and higher rent. Interestingly and weirdly, the bedrooms on top floors are not carpeted and the floors are wafer thin so noise permeates. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper If you're a non-smoker and smoking smell annoys you, be aware that it's NOT strictly non-smoking. Cigarette and marujiana smoke are prevalent throughout the property. They expect you to record and send a video before they issue any violations so be ready with your phone before you complaint. read more

The community at Turing is very family-based and quiet. The way the apartment complex is designed always ceases to impress guests. This luxury apartment in Milpitas is very affordable for its price and the team here is always willing to help out. After living here for a year, I am blessed to have been helped by Heather. Heather has always given me the patience to answer my questions. The service here is reliable. They are great at interacting with people and getting to know the residents here. Turing hires wonderful people that are friendly! It is always clean and quiet at the apartments. In addition, Trader Joe's is a clutch when you forget an ingredient when you cook! Just moved in and love my 1bdrm apartment. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Lisa helped me out with the tour and finding an apartment with my move in schedule. We were able to get the 500$ same day decision deal. Where do I even begin with this apartment complex? Let's just say, if you own an electric car, you might as well invest in a pogo stick for your commute because parking here is a joke. Living on the third floor, I quickly learned that the only way to park in the designated electric car spots was if your vehicle was charging. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. Once you're juiced up, you have to move your car or you will get a ticket and a towing threat. So Instead, you will see yourself staring at rows of empty electric car parking spots while regular parking resembled a game of Tetris gone wrong. The real kicker? Despite management's half-hearted attempts to enforce the rule that residents should only park on their designated floors, it's about as effective as using a spaghetti noodle as a straw. People from upper floors seem to have developed a sixth sense for finding prime parking spots, leaving those of us on lower floors scratching our heads and circling like vultures. Gas prices may be soaring, but apparently, so are the number of residents willing to risk a parking violation here. And let's not forget the comedic irony of having to park on the sixth floor because everyone else seems to have forgotten their "destined" floor. In conclusion, if you enjoy a good laugh and don't mind turning parking into a competitive sport, then by all means, move in. But if you prefer your comedy served with a side of sanity, you might want to steer clear of this circus. read more

Turing has been one of our top choices when searching for a luxury apartment in the Milpitas/Fremont area. We have been checking on their room availabilities for the past couple of months hoping that the rooms we wanted would open up when it was time for us to move around early October. In early September, we connected with Yeda Duque to get some preliminary information on the apartment and scheduled a tour with her on a Saturday a few weeks later. Yeda warmly greeted us and offered us snacks/drinks when we checked in. She noted the rooms we wanted to see on her map and when she showed us the rooms, she made sure to point out all the special features from the in wall cable management to dimmable countertop lights. Turing also hosts community events such as movie night at the rooftop pool & beer garden. They also have beers/wines at the lobby that residents can drink whenever they visit. The Turing amenities/perks are numerous, and truly a selling point! It makes you feel like you're living at Google or Facebook. She helped us get our top choice room at an amazing price that fits our budget because we had to make a decision between our top 3 properties by the end of day. She was sweet enough to show us the room one more time before we made a decision and even stayed past closing time to help us fill out the application forms so we could get our Look & Lease bonus. Yeda accommodated our every request without hesitation and with a smile. She far exceeded all of our expectations and has such a bubbly personality, it's contagious! It took us coming back three times in one day, but we're super excited to call Turing our next home knowing we'll be well taken care of thanks to their amazing staff :) Thank you again for providing us with such an amazing and personalized experience Yeda! read more

Don't judge a book by its cover, definitely the case for this complex. 1. Pool area should be an incredible experience, music is never played through complex speakers (why bother having them?) It doesn't need to be loud but some ambience would make such a different vibe. TV is usually on some weird channel, can only change it if you call the lobby, which is impossible to get a hold of anyone and even if you do, it still takes for ever for them to change it. And apparently during the summer they will be not allowing anyone to bring friends up...what's the point of having a pool of you can't bring your friends to. 2. The Beer Garden..funny how they advertise it and most likely mention it in their walk throughs...it must have been 2 years now and still nothing. 3. The new mail room rule is to charge $10 a day for a package in a locker after the 2nd day. This is a joke. I appreciate more available storage but this just feels like a way to syphon money from their tenants 4. The new liability insurance / damage waiver. Move in and have to provide insurance, yeah sure no worries, after living there they then try spring this in as well. Again for a luxury complex to be pinching pennies is a joke. We have lived at Turing for over six years. Shout out to Heather and the staff for making and keeping Turing a great place to live. Heather and the staff are very attentive and responsive. I would give 10/10 to the maintenance team for being responsive and taking care of any requests /issues in less than 24 hours (that's amazing! isn't it?). We have a variety of fun and well-maintained amenities. A three-story gym with diverse equipment and options for aerobic exercise, bodybuilding, kickboxing, and yoga is one of my favorite amenities at Turing. We love a rooftop with a pool, jacuzzi, pool table, big TV screen, fireplace, BBQ, and many other things to enjoy each season. Turing also has fun celebrations for events. We recently had a "Summer Splash" serving great food, having a DJ, and a photo booth. The leasing team walked around and checked in with residents to make sure residents were taken care of well. SHOUT OUT to Heather, Jizel, Kimberly, and AJ. The convenience of having Trader Joe's, Starbucks, and soon Pizza Place in your apartment is also great. Above all, the best part is the regular maintenance and upkeeping of the property, amenities, and units. Turing is also a safe place to live with ample security and secure building doors and locks. The property manager Heather and her team made my stay truly exceptional even though my experience living at Turing was not the smoothest. Heather always went above-and-beyond to make sure I'm satisfied with my living experience and provided support in a timely and professional manner, even after my move-out. From my perspective, Heather has played a fundamental role in all residents' life here at Turing, and I believe she has been the sole driver that has made Turing great despite her overwhelming workload and the numerous challenges Turing has faced. Another great thing about Turing is the amenities, especially the gym and pool. One of the largest roof-top pool and TV setup I've seen around the bay, and did I mention we have a true free weight barbell rack? Only one I've seen in an apartment gym. I can say by far this is the WORST experience I've had at " luxury" apartments. First when we moved in they stated that the carpets get cleaned and switched out for every new tenant, which we learned to not be true . The carpet had obvious previous discoloration and you can tell it was not new. PLEASE check EVERYTHING before you decide to live here , after a day of moving in I started to notice little things that I did not even think to check or see while we had our walk through . The bathroom mirror does NOT stay shut at all! and when Moving in , I noticed yellow stains within the cabinets throughout the kitchen . All while living here ,I can say that I've seen ATLEAST 2 rats on the rooftop pool area which should not be the case if they have pest control " every week". My partner and I first moved in November 2023 and we have a service dog that we cannot always take out to relive himself, due to having a newborn and work hours . We have always made sure to clean our balcony regularly since day 1 of moving in and had NEVER had any problems until now . The Manager Heather had reached out in April due to urine smell coming from our balcony ( which is understandable due to the heat and the dog pad) she had stated CLEARLY in the email that they understood that having the dog pad/ dog grass was convenient for us and only asked that we make sure to CLEAN IT REGULARLY! NEVER ONCE did they say that we had to remove the pads or that it was against the leasing agreement. They had acknowledged that they knew of the dog pads so you can understand my frustration when Now July 2024 we are getting last notices about us cleaning and scrubbing our balcony which they had asked us to do in the first place ! All because of these new downstairs neighbors that we NOW have to accommodate when this had never been issue before . Heather wants us to remove the dog pads and stop cleaning our balcony , her only solution to the problem was stop doing it or we are going to evict you OR use a swiffer to clean the balcony ! This is absolutely absurd and they are not even acknowledging that we cannot always take our SERVICE dog downstairs to relive himself , they'd rather us " figure it out" or just make him hold it which is unbelievable! For a " pet friendly" environment this doesn't seem right in anyway . As of the other reviews please listen to them when they mention the beer garden which is NEVER AVAILABLE! ants are a huge problem here at the turing so before you move in make sure that the cracks are sealed from the wall to the floor and the cracks in the door and corner walls are filled !! The garage cameras do not work and security is a F'n JOKE ! Half the time they are on their phone with airpods in or just standing and fidgeting with items . I honestly can say I wish I had read the reviews prior to moving in because I am in disbelief in how we are being treated and how the apartments are absolutely careless ! A lash artist that I came to know while living here had nothing good to say about these apartments and she was right ! Please stay FAR AWAY from these apartments!!!! read more

I no longer reside at this building but before you move in hopefully you came across my review. they have a F rating on the BBB. we ended our lease early due to multiple problems we have had with the property management. about 6 months ago I left my other review below about our disruptive neighbors and 6 months later they were still being disruptive pass quiet hours. Management asked if I could send videos of it happening which I did and you guessed it nothing happened. They will also raise your rent if you aren't buddies with the property director we have friends that live here and they have not gotten there rent raised in 3 years but upon asking the property manager and assistant if our rent was going to be raised before we ended our lease early she told us we were paying under market LOL if they tell you that you can drill holes and make your place like a home that are smaller than a quarter sized and won't be charged it's a lie as you can see below I attached the move out fees. I have rented at multiple buildings in my lifetime this by far is the worst experience I have ever had. Also update on the "security" they won't do much to help you. If you're a non smoker like myself and moving in thinking it's a "non smoking building" it's not! people will smoke cigarettes and weed all over the property I've actually reported this to management with email and got no response and when reporting it to the "security" they told me they couldn't do anything about it bc they didn't physically see them. i've rented units 671 and 477 I do not recommend 477 it's above the trash which I knew and didn't mind but on your balcony it attaches lots of flies. I did not have an ant problem in 477 but 671 we had a big ant problem as the weather got warmer. parking!! we have friends who parked multiple cars without paying extra however we would get tickets in ours to sum it up if you are not friends with the agents or directors you'll be screwed read more

I moved in to Turing a few weeks back. These apartments are newly built, so spacious, so many amenities such as pool table, gym, badminton court, community areas, cafe, and best part, rooftop pool! Nothing can beat the feeling of beating the summer in rooftop pool in middle of city in a hot summer day. The leasing office is very welcoming and happy to assist with any of our problems. And they have Trader Joe right on first floor. So if we are ever out of anything, we are just an elevator away to get it. Here are a few of the many reasons why I love Turing: 1. Leo. Friendly, personable and helpful leasing agent; I had such a seamless experience during leasing that i gifted him a bottle of wine. He continues to shine in his role. 2. Service overall. Lisa recently assisted me with a missing package, took a few days but showed concerned and empathy. All the agents I've met are really friendly, compassionate and always greet me by name when passing by. I met Heather briefly, she shows concern and she was sweet. Maintenance service had also been impeccable, I submitted a few requests upon moving in and haven't had any issues since. The team really takes care of us here and it's so appreciated. 3. Grounds. They take pride in presentation, grounds are kept well. Every time I'm using the pool or communal bbq areas they are clean and ready for us. 4. Apartment. I love my apartment; the huge master with spacious walk-in, dual sinks and a tub for 2?!... a renters dream. Gas stove and refrigerator with water/ice dispenser, so convenient. Permanent island!!! I have so much cabinet space to store my appliances. 5. Amenities. Our rooftop pool with the big screen, cabanas, pool table and lounge area... I love hanging out up there. Our 3 floor gym, I'm in there all the time as well. We're also located on top of Trader Hoe's.. There is so much more amenity wise, it's true luxury living here.
