My daughters and I came here before checking into our hotel and heading to a concert in the city. This appeared to be a great spots for locals to come. When we entered we were told to sit wherever we wanted and the bartender came to our table with menus and took our drink order. Happy hour started at 4 with great drink and food specials. We had martinis and the Irish nachos off the happy hour menu. I love home made potato chips so the Irish nachos were really good. I enjoyed their wedge salad and asked for a side of balsamic glaze and it was one of the best wedge salads I have ever had. Loved the crispy thick cut bacon. So good. My daughter had the mussels which were wonderful and served with crusty bread to enjoy with the broth. I am so glad that we chose this restaurant it was very quiet at the time of day we arrived. I came to this spot for dinner and when I arrived I parked in a lot and K walked in. I walked into a lively place! I ordered with Danny and he was great! Great little bar / restaurant nestled on a side street in Secaucus. Inside is very casual and clean. Surprisingly, being that the bar is right there, the noise level isn't insane. The service is bar none. They had a new employee and he appeared to be struggling a bit but a gentleman that worked there noticed and quickly saved the day making sure everything went smooth. We started with the Corned Beef rolls with a mustard dip. The rolls were very tasty but the mustard dip was very interesting. They were more granular mustard seeds closer to a whole form opposed to the average mustard. It was very peculiar but very good. We also got an order of pierogies which came with sautéed onions and sour cream. For dinner, my wife got the Shepherds Pie. I went with the Dublin Burger which was topped with mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, bacon and a little BBQ sauce. It was absolutely massive and the tastes came together very well. Priced right and portions left you satisfied. My wife brought some of hers home. Great place to try if you're looking for something outside of the usual fare. read more

I was really excited to check this place out, but I was surprised when I saw the menu--it seemed like an exact copy of Blackjack Mulligans even down to the font. When I asked the waitress if they were sister bars, she explained that The Yard is their only other location. The food was decent overall, but the standout was definitely the dub calamari, which I highly recommend--it's one of the few original items on the menu. We ordered food online from the Dublin yard so we gave you our money, and it was not crowded at all. We decided to eat our food at the bar in the restaurant because NO ONE was there. I don't know what his name was but he approached us and straight up said you can't eat to go food at the bar and made us leave. He did not say hello even or explain the policy. While there was tons of open seats. His vibes were definitely off. I am pregnant and wanted to quickly eat and my husband was going to get a drink, we would have happily ordered more if needed. 0/10 and never coming back. The Druken Chicken Parm and the Burgers, when done right, are worth the trip alone. Service is as unpredictable as New Jersey weather. Some nights you get attentive, friendly staff; other nights you might wonder if they forgot about you. Order mix-ups happen more often than they should. I'm sure this place is fine when they have drink specials but I had a martini and it was $17.59! Note I did not ask for any top shelf brand of vodka either. My husband had Bacardi and Diet which was $11.38 single/$14.49 as a pint. We could have gone to Houston's for those drink prices. Stopped in early on a Saturday evening. was just starting to get busy. Bartender seemed to know what he was doing, although the rest of staff seemed clueless. Service was not good. Burger ordered medium was dry and well done. Looked amazing but just not "it". Even fries were basic shoestring that tasted like their made in a huge pile and kept warm until they run out. FYI- fried calamari is the frozen restaurant supply house type. Shepherds pie ( another dish that MUST be good in an Irish pub) was just ok. very salty. I'm a regular at the owners other bar in Haledon so I figured I'd check it out. I may or may not have a crush on one of the bartenders so maybe a went back a few times. I can say confidently without check out anyone else around, that they have the best black bean burger around. I haven't yet tried the vegetable burger but I will! They were kind enough to make me vegetable quesadilla's and they were phenomenal. They have your typical bar menu with plenty of fried options & it's all good. They chose high quality products & make them with care. The Mac & cheese were also very food. I didn't know Dublin is a place in Ireland. They have a few Irish themed meals, I don't eat meat so I asked people how their food was and they all loved it. There's daily specials prepared by the chef. They have karaoke on Wednesdays, trivia during the week and a DJ on the weekend. There's a bar area, dining area and even a little area outside to hang if it's nice out. Ordered delivery from here one night for dinner and it was a pretty solid option. We had the French onion soup, which was flavorful and also comforting. The Clark Street Burger (bacon, mushrooms, swiss cheese, and cajun mayo served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and fries. We upgraded to the Cajun fries, which gave it a nice little kick. They didn't incorporate the accoutrements into the burger, which was nice, because usually when places do that, the lettuce gets soggy and the tomato gets cooked. It was MUCH appreciated. I also appreciated that they separated the fries from the burger so that the burger juice didn't make the fries soggy (or soggier than they were, but it's expected with takeout). The burger was pretty good. It's the perfect size and not overly greasy. Because we needed some greens, we also ordered the Blackjack Steak Salad (mixed greens, tomatoes, red onion, bleu cheese crumbles, mushroom, bacon, and hard boiled egg). I wasn't expecting much from the steak but it was very tender. They also give a generous portion - enough for me to make another salad for lunch the next day. I think next time, I'll try dining in so that I can eat the food fresh and so that I can try a pint of their Guinness! read more

A very off the beaten path bar, seemed more like a local bar than anything. The ribeye is one hell of a deal. Big steak, lots of mashed potatoes, vegetables, and onion rings. We asked for medium rare but it was cooked medium well. Good flavor just a little chewy. Penne vodka was tasty but was just generic sauce. Calamari wasn't too chewy and was seasoned well. The only thing I disliked here was how expensive the drinks were. $13 for a simple cocktail which is a price I would expect to pay in the city. Really cool vibe and great food menu. I loved the little outdoor patio and they have a parking lot which was a huge plus.

I strike again to a local dive bar and it was well worth it. Quiet and calm just how I like them. Service was great and super friendly. Drink prices are a bit more than what I'm used to as a Midwesterner but I'm in Jersey. The Blackjack dip is to die for and I highly suggest the Cajun fries. From what I could see it's pretty much locals only and are good convo for sure. If I'm ever back in Secaucus I'll be back!!! read more
