PROS: the food was good and the menu variety was plentiful. It's spacious, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good prices. CONS: service is slow and there's hardly any street parking OVERALL: I would definitely come back here, but only if I can find parking near the place

Have been to Whiskey Priest many times on the weekend & always had a great time! However EXTREMELY disappointed visiting on Sunday night 12/21.... Google and Instagram show open until 2AM. Sat at the bar at 1AM & the bartender told us it is last call... at 1:30AM he told us we need to leave because he needs to clock the door right away.... I told him I am so sorry we thought you close at 2 because of IG + Google which is why we came ... and he said nothing. Guess he just wanted to leave a little early. Upsetting.

It was like a club. So if your looking for a restaurant laid back, it's def not here! It's a cuuute location! Def more of a hip club that also serves food lol Food takes long time to get to you so if it's not right be prepared to wait. Turkey burger was dry but the ketchup helped. Tater tots were delicious. I asked for tomato and onions on my burger. When I got my food it had no onions and tomato .. so I asked again and they brought the tomato and onions on the side. (I was almost done with my burger by then ) But get this... THE RECEIPT SHOWED AN EXTRA $7.95 for vegetables!! Whaaaat?! I was like ummm no! So I talked to this dude with a beard and he said for the extra onion and tomato it's $ 2 dollars... So he updated my receipt.

My friend invited me to The Whiskey Priest last night for drinks. I wanted a burger, a beer, and to play some darts. Turns out, this ain't that kinda bar. It wasn't too busy when I got in around 9pm. Our group got a table and placed some food and drink orders. I wanted a Blue Point Toasted Lager off their list of drafts, but they were apparently tapped out. I got a Long Island Iced Tea instead. It was very syrupy and sweet. I ordered a burger and carne asada tater tots. The Whiskey Priest burger came with a sunny side egg and bacon. The egg wasn't runny and the bacon was chewy. Rest of the burger was pretty average overall. The carne asada tots were actually pretty good. It was a Saturday so people started pouring in and the music started getting louder. The police even arrived later in the evening because one group had accused another group of stealing a cell phone. Makes me kinda glad I don't frequent bars as much as I used to lol

This spot is definitely a hidden gem! They offer really great happy hour specials and even have trivia night on Wednesdays! The food was excellent and service was fabulous. Ambiance was cozy, but definitely not a quiet spot! A very lively Hoboken style bar. Would definitely recommend!

The Whiskey Priest was a great time! If you feel you want to party with some class this is the place to go. You can bring your friends, family, and even a hot date! Anyone will enjoy the Great Service, Music, Drinks, and food. We had some shots, a jungle juice pouch, and Volcano nachos topped with steak. Everything was at good portion size and reasonably priced considering the upscale feel of the place. I wish I got more pictures but was having too good of a time.

Okay, so the drinks were trash. But did we expect differently for a $10 pouch? Absolutely not. The vibes in here were so phenomenal! Not what I expected from a little whole in the wall bar. The DJ was great and had such a diverse mix! We stopped by on a Saturday night around 11PM and were surprisingly seated as soon as we got there. Now the kitchen was closed, but overall a great time! I wouldn't expect the kitchen to be closed Sox early, considering they close at 2AM. Will definitely return to try out the food!

Nice Pub bar vibe with lots of tvs perfect to watch sports. My husband and I came for lunch and I ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and my husband had the skirt steak sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. We would definitely come back to watch some games and have drinks/food. The patio also looked like a nice area to hang out!

They have great happy hour specials and staff who are there to honor the deals and give you a fun experience. Nothing worse than walking into a bar because of an advertised deal and the bartender charging you full price because they didn't know anything about the deal. That doesn't happen here which is huge!!! They have multiple TVs and seating areas, which make it perfect for watching sports. Drinks are great and food is delicious. We love the chicken quesadilla and wings. The espresso martini was surprisingly good. We love their drink pitchers as well. Overall you can tell they care about the community, and want to offer a reliable and fun experience in an area that doesn't have too many bars like this. We have returned multiple times since the first time because we love the consistency, fun events, and friendly staff. The only thing they could improve on is the music. When there's a DJ, it's a great night, but when it's up to Touch Tunes there's room for improvement. We still will return whenever we are looking for a good time!

They had a DJ play music the whole fight card except for the last main match. I mean, they should just have him play between rounds or something. It has a local/dive bar feel to it but it is redone and clean and beautiful! Better than I ever expected! I walked in to my favorite classic rock jam playing and they just kept em coming. The staff was adorable and very sweet and took great care of us. I really really enjoyed myself, my dinner, my company and this bar/restaurant! I would drive the 20 minutes there again any day. The vibe itself was enough to make me want to go hang out there. I really had a blast. The salads looked incredible. I got the peel and eat shrimp and a banging potato soup and a few cocktails. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Manhattan on their menu. And while they use a maraschino cherry vs. a luxardo, which is typically a telltale sign of quality, it was a really good drink -- not overly sweet or sharply boozy. The food was also solid. They offer your regular bar food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers, but also salads made with actual mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. Their fries were good, as well as the quesadilla, chicken fingers and steak salad (although crazy spicy so beware). The bartenders were so friendly, it must be a good place to work. I loved the retro atmosphere, and will be back to sit out on the patio next time!

The gratin was perfectly done, the broth was rich and flavorful, and everything tasted balanced and well executed. We started with a Tito's mule and a passion fruit margarita -- both refreshing and well made. The garlic and cheese Jersey wings with their house sauce were outstanding and full of flavor. The mac and cheese was incredibly creamy, generously cheesy, and finished with a golden crust that added great texture. The ribeye with spinach was cooked to the perfect temperature, and the blue cheese burger with bacon and onion rings had an amazing contrast between creamy and crispy. The mushroom pizza with extra cheese was another great choice. The menu offers Irish, Italian, and American options, so there's something for everyone. It's a family-friendly sports bar with a welcoming atmosphere -- perfect for watching your favorite team while enjoying great food. Highly recommend. We will absolutely return.
