My Dryer stopped working and had to call an appliance repair company who diagnosed a burned-out heat sensor fuse, a safety mechanism that shuts down the dryer when it gets to hot. We had our dryer vent repaired and cleaned today by Rene. He was able to immediately find from where the duct was leaking and was able to open the casing around the duct, clean the duct (picture below), correctly repair the faulty duct with the correct materials and strong metallic tape and then restore the wooden casing and clean up all the removed lint. Called the Dryer vent expert as I was receiving a code on my dryer indicating a flow problem. I initially pulled the dryer and cleaned out the vent with only slight build up of lint. I even tried to blow out the vent with little success. I believed that I needed a professional who could access more than I could do as I could only get 5-6 feet of feed line into the vent. Rene was very quick to respond and came to my home the next morning. He pulled out the dryer and removed the vent line without too much lint showing. Once Rene climbed up on the roof he discovered that the vent cap had slipped down on the vent pipe. This caused most of the blockage, along with the lint trapped at the cap.
