Fried seafood platter

With a true oceanfront location, you cannot beat the view or the vibe. Indoor & outdoor dining available. Indoor & outdoor bar. Outdoor bar featured live music, which if you were dining on outside deck, you could also enjoy. We have been to Tybee many times, and I have to say..this is one of the best atmosphere's and quality meals we have ever had. Not your typical beach restaurant. Better! Absolutely adding to our rotation for future visits! PS they don't take reservations. Large place, you won't wait too long and it's worth it. We had our fill of outside time, so opted for indoors (same amazing oceanview & AC!) Had a great table by the window, could see the ocean. Our server Jenna H. was witty, attentive and had excellent menu recommendations. They were out of wings, and she suggested chicken tenders that she would have them baste in the wing sauce. Creative solution! The chip trio app is great with salsa, queso & guacamole. We enjoyed very much Asked about the fish & chips, and she said it was one of the most popular menu items because it was excellent. She was right! Our drinks were always full. 4 people in our party, had alot of different dinner options and shared. We loved them all. Fried Seafood platter generous portion, wedge salad, poke bowl, and the chicken tenders. Everyone was pleased with selections Save room for dessert. Outstanding. The caramel corn & pretzel cheesecake was unique & so tasty with the sweet & salty combo. Chocolate lava cake was delicious also. Loved it here.

Awesome beachfront dining with one point of warning. Outside on the porch is a lovely spot for a meal, beverage or both. Just be aware that the local birds have an issue with outsiders sharing their space. Good Luck or not - no one likes being pooped on! We ordered strawberry daiquiris and a Tybee Salad and a chicken sandwich. Both items were tasty and filled the space available in our tummies. We did get a squirt gun dropped at our table to balance the scales of defense. We used it a few times. Needless to say no more surprises occurred. Friendly staff and great location.

Again another 1st, The food is wonderful we all enjoyed our our meals, the flavors were great, food hot and hit the spot for our last meal on the island. Our waitress Jacqui was excellent, she made the evening wonderful so we could enjoy our time together. It was my wife's sister 75th birthday weekend. The atmosphere is wonderful, good beach view, but it was raining and couldn't get any ocean views but will be back on a sunny day. I (we) will be back and I recommend this establishment when visiting Tybee Island. The whole staff are great friendly and make you feel welcome.

I came here for a bachelorette party, and we all had a great experience eating dinner at The Deck! Before sitting down, we were all able to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a drink. They have a variety of fun drinks, but the favorites were the banana daiquiri, which was unique but delicious, and both their Aperol and Hugo spritz! They have reasonable prices and more casual food, but a few of us ordered the steak quesadilla and loved it. Our service was great, the food came quickly, and the drinks were delicious. There is direct beach access as well, so it's a perfect spot for lunch if you are already on the beach, or to catch the sunset after dinner. I would highly recommend it if you are in the area or visiting and need a dinner or lunch spot!

Nice spot for lunch and a bonus that it is beachside...really gives you that island ambiance. The service was great - friendly and very quick staff all around. I just got a BLTA (bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado) which was good but the fries were a nice surprise - they had a little spice on them that I really enjoyed - very subtle but a little different from your run of the mill shoestring fries.

This place is in the midst of a hotel. We were a little unsure where exactly it was located but they do have enough signs to get you to the restaurant. We were greeted and seated right seat. Service was overall excellent. The food presentation was great, but man does it lack flavor. We started with the chorizo roasted corn dip. It had very little flavor and the chips were kind of stale. My husband had the deck burger, it was watery and no flavor. How do you mess up a burger so bad? I had the chicken and waffle sandwich. First, there's no way to eat this as a sandwich, but that's ok. The waffle part was one of the best waffles I've ever had. The jalapeño syrup and chipotle mayo were great but man that chicken was the biggest disappointment. It looked amazing. The breading was great but it had absolutely no flavor. Even eating it all together wasn't enough to help that chicken.

Great views. Indoor and outdoor shaded patio. Wings were messy and had the perfect crispiness. Loved the poke bowl with coconut rice. Server brought soy sauce out since there was really no dressing. I was satisfied but the cheesecake intrigued the table. It was really good. Had a nice sweet and salty combo. Perfect size for 4 people

Ambiance & service was great! Food wasn't as great as people hyped it up. We also got the nachos (not pictured) those were great but we wish it had some kind of mango salsa! Drinks were pretty expensive especially for virgin drinks. Worth going at least once since on vacation but probably wouldn't visit again.

Very nice. Wait staff was excellent. Food was pretty good all around. Only issue was that ants kept biting my feet outside on the deck

We decided to have dinner at this local favorite in Tybee Island. It is a good amount of outside…read moredining and very casual. You can choose your own seat here. The restaurant is right on the water in the middle of a marina, so fishing boats come in and they clean the fish not far from the restaurant's edge. We started off with a half pound shrimp that was hot and well seasoned. The tartar sauce was very spicy with horseradish. I tried the special Herb Salad. It was tasty but a little pricey at 18.63. It would have been tasty with some pecans or walnuts. For entrees we tried the shrimp and grits. Very tasty with red eye gravy on top. Was missing the sausage, but still very good. Shrimp was well seasoned. The scallop dinner was delicious. Came with Alfredo sauce, hush puppies and a side salad. Prices are fair for all local seafood, which is what you expect on Tybee. And you can taste the difference in the local seafood. Very fresh and tasty. My one negative here was food came out too fast. We were still enjoying salads, then the shrimp appetizer came out. We were still eating our shrimp app, and the entrees came out. Felt a little rushed. The server was ready to bring the check, but we asked for dessert first. They already ran out of one dessert and just had the special, which was cheesecake. I normally don't complain about food coming out too fast, but when you are rushing through your courses, it feels like they need your table quickly. Food was really good, so it was just easy enough to ask for to go boxes with what we could not finish. Go early so there is no wait. People were waiting as we were leaving.

My kind of dump! LOL... don't let the rundown appearance fool ya, the food is awesome! See below…read morefor review of bathrooms though. We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday, place wasn't too busy and the service was attentive and both drink and food came out quick. We had hush puppies and peel & eat shrimp to start. The hush puppies weren't much on their own (as they tend to be) but dipped in honey butter they were damn good and kind of addictive. The peel and eat shrimp were cooked perfectly, sweet and succulent. After peeling don't forget to devein if needed... about half our order had some mud vein remaining (which is fine for peel and eat, just remove it!). Then my wife and I split the lunch special, a double fried flounder sandwich with cheese and tartar sauce... a take on McDs double fillet-o-fish. It was amazing! The fresh flounder was cooked perfectly and was soft and juicy inside its crispy fried crust. My wife especially appreciated the toasted bun! The coleslaw that was the lunch special side wasn't great... under seasoned imo. I put a little malt vinegar, salt & pepper on it and it was fine. To finish it off we split a piece of key lime pie. This is the first time either of us had key lime pie, so we don't have much context to compare this to, but our experience with this key lime pie was amazing. The crust was one of the best graham crusts I've had. It was buttery and cooked to the point it had a caramel taste to it. The filling had a cheesecake taste and texture to it with a distinct citrus lime tang. The whipped topping was creamy and cool, a perfect complement to the custard-like filling. A wonderful dessert! Now, the only bad part of this review is of the bathrooms. As much as I like a dive bar, back country vibe... the bathrooms are gross. My wife was visibly disgusted when she returned to the table. Later in our trip she used the restroom at a Savannah gas station and joked it was the Taj Mahal compared to the restroom at Bubba Gumbo's. So, be warned... just hold it if you can! Bathrooms 1-Star... and that's just because they have one and it has running water LOL

From moment of us sitting down she informed us that she had no shits to give, she was busy and overworked and had no time to get us anything extra. As a former bartender and waitress I would never speak to people like this even when I was in the worst of the weeds. I think the tourist season is slowing down and the weather likely helped with no wait and we had a great little meal on their outside covered deck. They had fans blowing so it was a nice little breeze and the service was fast and friendly. We indulged in a few alcoholic beverages and they were good and flavorful while also stout and worth the $$$. My wife and son split the seafood boil for two and it was more than enough food for two people, it was served STEAMING hot fresh out of the kitchen and was seasoned as well as any seafood boil my wife recollects having. I had the blackened mahi tacos and they served three sorts tacos with a heap of blackened fish in each of them. You could realistically split this meal between two and still come away with a full belly. All in all we have low expectations for a lot of these touristy spots but this one surpassed all expectations, it's a little pricey but that's also to be expected in a touristy spot like Tybee.

What you find inside is a nicely appointed restaurant with a beautiful long bar which we highly recommend you eat at. Our bartender Christy was amazing. But more about her later, right now I will talk about the food. We started with the margarita scallops, which was chunks of seared scallops soaked in margarita on toasted wonton chips with a black bean corn, salsa and drizzle with a local aioli, YUM! We also had their fried green tomatoes, which came with apricot horseradish sauce and aoli. Kiki had the catch of the day, which was a grilled piece of grouper atop mediterranean couscous and a medley of mediterranean vegetables. I had the prime rib, which came with lobster Chili Churri butter and a brandy peppercorn sauce. Both entrees were amazing. Now back to our bartender Christie. To say that she wears many hats is an understatement. She greeted us when we sat at the bar, by the way, did I mention that you can reserve seats at the bar? She described the menu items in a way that you only expect to find from a waiter in the finest restaurants in the world. She addressed any and all allergy issues relating to these dishes all the while she is making drinks for patrons at the bar as well as handling the service bar for all the patrons in the restaurant. Without missing a beat, she takes our order.Buses plates from other customers and continues to make drinks for everybody in the restaurant. At this point I think I told her her new nickname should be the Flash. At one point during our dinner, we saw her serve a bottle of wine to another couple at the end of the bar. Her presentation was that of a full wine sommelier with pouring a taste for approval while showing the label of the bottle as she waited for the customers approval then pouring the glasses after approval was given.
