We had an amazing time having lunch at the Deck this summer. We ordered drinks by the water and the customer service was great. Our server, Casey, was an absolute delight. She was kind and helpful with recommendations. We ordered wine and lobster rolls and we VERY impressed with how much lobster was in the roll. Very generous portion and my favorite lobster roll of our trip to New England. We will definitely be back.

    The duck was there!

Beautiful views! The wait staff (Sarah) were so kind and fast with our orders. Food was fantastic! Cannot wait to go back for their clam chowder.

We stopped here to enjoy a nice night out with our recently married daughter. Service we top notch despite them being crazy busy. We had two appetizers, fried calamari and burette salad. Both were very good, the calamari could have used a few more spices and banana peppers. We then each had the Lobster BLT. Each one was not consistent in the amount of lobster, but still tasty. A little pricey but it's a vacation spot so you expected. Good crowd, made a new friend and the live music was decent. Many choices in Salisbury but this is one worth a stop. Nice roof top seating as well as deck overlooking the bay

Fun place for live music with an outdoor but covered venue. Good drinks, but pricey and you don't get much. Food only served on lower level, not on the deck, we asked and spoke to one of the O.G. servers about it. Not enough kitchen staff to cover guest requests if @ full capacity. On a good day place is jam packed, and barely room to move. We went on a rainy day and it was comfortable. Food was good. Enjoyed my burger, but my fries were luke warm. Friends enjoyed their meals.

Friends joined us for lunch on Sunday. Parking was packed, but they have a plan for that! You park across the street and either walk over (under the bridge), or they have guys driving golf carts to scoot you back over! Fun! Decor: What can I say? It's a massive deck on the water! Perfect, lots of tables, a huge bar, and upstairs dec is 21+ only (no food, just drinks) Food: We started with the shrimp app; eh, not my fave; the shrimp was tiny and very overcooked. Not enough to share between four people. Chicken tenders were wicked juicy and had nice breading. Buffalo sauce was ok, but blue cheese dressing was, um, runny!?!?!? Entrees, scallop dish perfect, chicken sandwich perfect (even tho the guy changed everything on it aha, love picky eaters!), beet salad was good and very well seasoned and dressed. BLT was so good; candied bacon is definitely a good thing! Black pepper aioli was super yummy. I got extra to drip my fries in. by the way, the regular fries were great, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. BUT the sweet potato fries were the STAR of the day. Super crispy but not overcooked. How did they do that? These are a must-have to try! Drinks: we all got the strawberry lemonade. I worried it would be too sweet, but it wasn't and was perfectly balanced. I had a few of those *wink* Service: Savannah was excellent, always there to refill drinks or bring us more napkins, etc., and she was funny too. Loved it! We will be returning. Just maybe not for the shrimp app, lol.

The Deck is a must during the summer! Such an amazing ambiance sitting out by the water and eating some good food. Can't go wrong with the tacos there to pair with a fun cocktail. Not to mention the staff there is super friendly despite being so busy all the time. Will keep coming back!

    Great drinks and views!

We've had nothing but good experiences here at 'The Deck". I've always wanted to try it, as you can see it from Newburyport, where we often dine, but thought it might be only fair and more bar fare. We were pleasantly surprised and have now put this restaurant into our regular rotation when we want to bring some friends along on nice days to enjoy great views, good food and drink. Located right on the Merrimack river, you can look across to Newburyport and up and down the river and enjoy the boats coming and going. The place is busy, but they do offer a call ahead option via the OpenTable app. Use it, or you may end up waiting. The parking lot is a bit small, but they offer valet parking. We've had very pleasant servers on every visit. Drinks are very good, and some are kind of fun like the rum punch served in a bucket. We've found the food to be fresh and quite good, hitting above what might be expected from a venue that might be perceived to be more of a bar. Fish tacos, burgers, poke bowl are all very good. On our last visit we tried the fried seafood platter for the first time. It included the usual scallops, shrimps and clams, but we were also surprised to find some lobster included as well. This is way better than average pub or bar fare. Check them out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Went here from a recommendation. The place was busy but they seated us right away. It does take forever for our server to come; so when she does we order all our food at once. The atmosphere was fun and nice; love the bay view. Our food was good and nice portion. Overall a good experience.

My friend and I visited the Deck on a Tuesday afternoon and were able to get seated right away, with a perfect view of the boats on the river and Newburyport beyond it. Our server Stephanie was a sweetheart and very attentive! We both decided to order Mojitos and split some starters. We chose the Tuna Poke (small portion size but very fresh and tasty), Feelin' Peachy (great burrata, I liked this a lot), and Dip Trio (so tasty and huge!). The Dip Trio probably would've been better for a larger party, as we weren't able to finish it, but it was still very good. The Mojitos were tasty as well, and decently strong. Would return to try more!

Our only real option was two seats at the bar. We had quick and attentive service from the bartender. Interesting offerings for cocktails, and we enjoyed our drinks. The food I think can be best described as American/Thai/Asian. Food came pretty fast, and we started with crab rangoon, and possibly the largest we have ever been served. Fried up crisp, not greasy and generously filled with cream cheese and real crab. Next up, we tried the Waygu burger which was quite good, nice toppings. My only complaint here was we wished the fries were fresh out of the fryer. I'm really fussy about fries and like them hot, crispy and fresh. Sadly, these were not. I had my eye on the Choco Taco for dessert, and this was a sophisticated version of the classic frozen treat you may have enjoyed from the ice cream truck as a kid. Home made with great ingredients, it was a perfect finish to a very nice meal. I would definitely give these guys a try when in Newburyport.

This place is immaculate! Every inch of the walls were covered with college banners from all over as well as pictures. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. One waitress has worked there for 30 years. That's a huge plus in my book. We started out with a few beers. They have beer on tap and bottles as well. There is a full bar. It's small but it was packed at 3:30 on this Wednesday afternoon. We asked the bartender about what we were looking to get...I always go large...thankfully he said that a small full bellied clam app and a small huge sized scallop plate with fries would be enough for us. We were so full! Even left with leftovers. Let me just say...can you say, best seafood anywhere? Seriously! So gooood! You have to try this place. Parking is available. If you're going when it's dark, watch for the sign. It isn't that bright. That would be my only thing that wasn't 100%. But hey, it's what's in the inside, right?

My clam dinner was outstanding, among the best I've had. My only issue - a minor one - was the "market value" price of the clams. I thought $42 was a bit steep. But in view of the freshness and portion size I'm inclined to overlook this. My wife also very much enjoyed her chicken tenders. All in all an excellent lunch with very good service. Will definitely return when in the area!!!
