I needed lunch and yelped and found this cool lil place. It was hard to find with navigation, but the location was super cool. The deck will be awesome in warmer months, with the water flowing below. The inside is small but well laid out and designed. Loved the descriptions of the drinks; very fun. We opted for the French 75 and Hurricane Szn. Both were yummy and had strong pours. We got the jalapeno wontons, cheesy good filling, nicely fried, and the hot aioli sauce was perfect; we saved it to go with our fries! I got the Turkey BLT which comes on a toasted croissant, and hubs got the bacon jam burger. Both were cooked really well, with good filling-to-bread ratios. The fries were crisp, and the seasoning was perfect. Prices were very fair - portions appropriate. Service was outstanding. Easy to get in on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is casual, wait staff wearing jeans and tshirts. The menu is decent but since I am plant based I only had 2 options ( which had dairy) it doesn't cost much to bake a block of tofu daily so that there is a plant based protein option. I wish the did, my meal would have been 100 times better for me. All that said we had the brussel sprout salad which felt healthy but tasty. I had the pumpkin bourbon cocktail which was great. What a lovely surprise! The outside deck on the river makes it all worthwhile. Beautiful view! Initial service was a little slow--always a great idea to get drinks to your customers right away. But servers were very pleasant! Food was very good--empanadas, fish tacos--and reasonably priced. Me and my fiancé visited here today and this place did not disappoint! We started with the Jalapeño Wontons with chili ranch dipping sauce. I asked if we could get it without the bacon but they're pre-made. We still went with it because we are die hard wonton fans! They were really good and so was the dipping sauce. I expected the inside to be chunky but it was actually creamy, but again, it did not let us down. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich but I asked for it fried, came out great! My fiancé ordered the "chicken bacon ranch burger" but before ordering we asked if this was a burger or a chicken sandwich, and they assured us that it was a fried chicken sandwich. It ended up coming out as a ground chicken burger. He was skeptical since it's not what we expected to come out but he ate it and it was super tasty - great flavors! Always a great experience. Food is always good, especially the burgers and pasta dishes. There are so many places around the area with good food choices. We try to come here 2-3 times a month because the Friday night bartenders (Kerry and Stan?) are two of our favorite people. We ordered chicken fingers to start and they came out burnt. This tells me they need to change the oil in the fryer. Also for $9, we should have had more. Very happy I came here after someone recommended it. It is definitely hidden, but once you find it, it's a great spot. We got lunch and drinks, while we sat right on the river. We have been to blue moon many times and have always enjoyed the food, drinks, and service. We now have a new addition to our family and unfortunately learned that the bathroom does not have a changing table. I had to leave the restaurant, walk to the parking lot and change my baby in the trunk of my car. There were a few other babies in the restaurant while we were there as well. It would be a really nice gesture if you could install a changing table so that we can come back again. read more

This is really something special. We were promptly greeted and sat with our server Emily. She was super attentive and has personality for days. Blue moon has been open for one week and she has mastered them menu and drinks from avocado toast to cheese cake. Manager Jordan came over to greet our party and she is a welcoming friend and a magician behind the bar. Expert creative cocktails. It makes you realize how great a master bartender really is truly an asset. Our meals come out and the halibut it extraordinary. Flat iron steak sandwich just melt in your mouth delicious. First I must warn you that unfortunately the shrimp sauté in my opinion is one of the absolute worst things I have ever eaten in my life. The sauce tasted like olive juice from canned olives. The Blue Moon overlooks the Powow River. It has a great deck and mini garage doors that open on nice days! The food menu is great. The cocktails were made perfectly. Friendly service and they use "Toast" to check out, which is so convenient! Highly recommend! read more

The ambiance by the water in the summer is lovely! It's a place where you can sit inside but still feel outdoors when the deck area is open! The seating out on the deck is clean, very pretty! The management and waitstaff were super attentive! My only drawback is the food. It's just ok. I think if the cook from the Barking Dog ( great food, not great ambiance) worked here, their business would go through the roof! So much going for it- but if the food is just ok, I don't know how successful it will be in the long run. Bring in great food and this place will be a winner! read more

My family has eaten here a few times and the food was great. Tonight I ordered the shrimp saute and there was 0 shrimp! My husband ordered the 4 cheese tortellini which should have been made with tomato cream sauce and there was none! Since it was take-out and we were hungry, we ate as is. Although the food here is very good, winter is not the best time to go to Blue Moon for atmosphere. The inside is plywood 90's decor. The deck looking out on the raging stream is a wonderful sight, but not one you can take advantage of while dining inside. We had the recommended deviled eggs with mustard sauce (excellent), the Korean BBQ wings (very good) and the chicken soup (not recommended, mostly rice) for apps, the Cuban pork belly sandwich (yummy) and haddock po'boy (on real French bread and tastes just like NOLA!) for our mains. All good and so filling we took a lot home. Unfortunately the cocktails are full of ice and not much flavor beyond the very ordinary fruit juice. With a little work on the decor and a good bartender, this place would shine! read more
