Ordered a lobster and they steamed it for me. Done perfectly and it was so yummy!!! Also bought haddock and that was awesome too. I tried a local restaurant in the area and had a lobster roll. It was so disappointing I'm originally from NE but moved to the southeast. You can't get any good seafood there. It had been a few years since I had seafood and I was so happy to find this place. Although it took me hours of driving to buy fresh seafood here, I would like to say worth it! The seafood (lobsters, oysters) are extremely fresh. Plus, the prices are very financially friendly. The 3 1.5lb lobsters only costed me around $28 which means one lobster only costed less than $10! You can buy almost nothing with this kind of price these days. I am shocked that I only spent $28 and got 3 fresh lobsters! Just be aware that they only accept cash or local checks. I fairly support this. As a customer and a business owner, I understand there are many latent cost to run businesses and accept card/digital payments. read more

Great place to buy lobsters. They have small, medium and large size lobster at fair prices. They had discount lobster price on the ones missing claw. They will pack your lobsters if you are traveling long distance. We were able to buy over 16lbs of lobsters and they all arrived all fresh and alive on our 8 hr trip back home. read more

My mom has taken me here ever since I was little and now as an adult I don't go anywhere else for fish. Everyone is always very nice, helpful and the fish quality is second to none. If you like to make baked haddock get their bread crumbs, they're amazing. When you go, bring cash as they don't accept credit cards. I think they might accept checks but I'm not 100% on that. Just wanted to note that now with Covid I feel safe going there, they do a very good job of maintaining the limit of customers and everyone always has a mask. David's is the best!! read more

I'm writing this during Covid19 pandemic.....the market is OPEN and supposedly observing social distancing by allowing only 4 customers in the market at a time. I heard about it and decided to go get some seafood. But it's a joke. Honestly, the customer area on this side of the counter does not really allow for 6 feet between 4 customers. There also is NO instruction or direction for customers on where to stand, how to pay, how to enter/exit and it's just a shitshow in there. I was so stressed out from bobbing and weaving during my time in there that I won't be going back again. They got almost $100 out of me, but that's it. I don't need seafood that much. read more

This place is awesome! I have been going there for over 30 years now and have tried most of the seafood that they have and have never had a bad purchase. Their lobsters are great and the fact that they steam them for you is a plus. Probably go there once a week. It is all cash so that's some thing you need to be aware of. Decided to try David's rather than driving 2 hours to Maine for our Christmas Eve seafood feast, and boy am I glad we did. Spent $450 on lobster, oysters, scallops and fish. It was worth every cent as everything was delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. Got there at 8 am and the line to get in was huge, but what looked like a 2 hour wait was only 35 minutes. Once you buy from David's you'll never want to buy from the supermarket again! Seriously, every time I'm in town I buy from David's. The wild Arctic Char, Wild Salmon, Scallops, Crab, Cod, and Lobster are my favorite choices and the prices are more than reasonable! 1lb of char is about $13.99 cant find that price on the west coast! Outside leaves a lot to be desired as I think many drive by it not realizing what a gem it is for healthy fresh seafood! Parking is easy, check out is easy. I miss this place when I'm out of town. I called ahead to order four live lobsters to take with us to friends at the Jersey Shore. I explained that we were driving the next morning, and Jim asked how long we would have them in the car. The next morning when I came to pick up the lobsters, Jim had them already for us and added some ice and two more plastic bags. The made the trip just fine. Still had ice and the lobsters were still alive. They were a thank you for our hosts, and they were probably the best lobsters any of us have ever had!!!
