Great restaurant in the loop. Convenient location, good ambiance, great service. The food is very good as well. That mushroom sandwich was delicious with sauteed fresh mushrooms and melted cheese. Good for business lunches.

Burger and fries. (Great fries)

This review is for the location at O'Hare Terminal 5. Wanted lunch before our flight. So glad we found this place. All the food was good. Server was friendly and came by frequently until we ordered. Then long gaps not seeing her and we had to flag down other servers for drink refills and our check before leaving. Somewhat crowded interior but it allows plenty of tables to accommodate people during busy periods. Pricey airport food but good portion and flavor.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. We were originally seated in a comfortable but busy area near the kitchen and later moved to a booth by the window. I decided to have an a shot if Anejo and ordered the dish and chips. Delicious! Probably the best slaw I have ever had and I am not into coleslaw at all. The service was good and the menu offered a god variety. They have an extensive liquor and wine menu as well as beer. A place I would come back to when in downtown Chicago. I suggest reservations for evening meals. Would have to try something thing else to give five stars.

It wouldn't be a visit to Chicago without a visit to the Dearborn! Truly my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Service always on point and friendly. The best fish in chips you will likely ever have. The Creole Shrimp and Grits were otherworldly. Shrimp cooked perfectly, not a millisecond over or under cooked. The sauce...the grits... amazing. Until my next visit...rock on Dearborn. You're the best!!!!

(Kari's Rating 8.75/10) Came with three friends on a Sunday evening around 7:30 PM. My party was already seated so I was able to walk in and just meet them. They were already ordering drinks so I chimed in very last minute and ordered an amaretto sour which was absolutely delicious. I wanted a second, but it was a Sunday evening. Yes-it was that good! We started with the rolls, which were really fluffy and warm, came in a set of four with a special seasoned butter. We also got the artichoke cheese appetizer, which I thought was a dip, but it actually came out on a very flat plate as seasoned artichoke with cheese, it was actually pretty delicious. For entrées, we ordered the scallops, the Cesar Salad, the Dearborn burger, and the Parmesan gnocchi. My (3) scallops were absolutely amazing, they were crispy and heated to perfection in the middle, they were not rubbery or fishy. I did think they gave a little too much beurre blanc is it almost overpowered the dish. We decided we did not need to get dessert as the dinner was already filling as it is. I would definitely come back and order the scallops again, but only for a special occasion as they were relatively expensive clocking in at $45.

My Fish & Chips dinner

Being a California boy (born and raised) my only way to get a Fish & Chip meal was at a fast food franchise called H. Salts Fish & Chips; and it was fairly good. Several golf trips to the U.K. (Britain, Scotland, Wales) I got my fair share of excellent Fish & Chips; the best being in Ullapool, Scotland at The Seafood Shack I have never had better! But, leave it to Chicago to deliver some of the best fish and chips I've ever had in the USA, here at The Dearborn restaurant in the Chicago loop. Everything about The Dearborn's signature dish just worked in every way: The fish was fried perfectly The fish itself was moist and delicious The chips (fries) were excellent The coleslaw was the perfect side dish The tartar sauce was scrumptious My Krobacher Pilsner paired perfectly with my dinner The service was spot on And sitting at the bar watching the NBA playoffs didn't hurt either. I did have a scoop of delicious salted caramel gelato that finished this meal perfectly. Having such delicious fish & chips a few blocks away from where I live is certainly better than flying "over the pond" (a British term for the Atlantic Ocean).

Great flavorful wings. Truffle pizza adding mushrooms was good - however the mushrooms were overpowering/overtook the pizza.

5/5 without a doubt. Vibe and food couldn't be better. I can't wait to get back to try more. The burger Wellington was fun, unique and super well cooked. Soup is great. Can't wait to try the fish and chips. Won't be my last time here for sure.

We made a reservation easily and were seated right away. The staff were serviceable, but nothing impressive. Our waitress was very robotic. Prices seemed high, especially the drinks. Food was good and this place was fine, but nothing that wowed.

Good dinner here last night. My work friend and I ate the bar. Beertender was personable, and his drinks were good as well. I had the Burger Wellington, which was delicious. Truffle fries were also very good.

We have frequented The Dearborn over several years for different personal and work purposes. Their food quality and attentive service has remained consistent. Therefore we continue to have a pleasant dine-in experience and The Dearborn remains one of our rotating choices. Some of our favorites are: Dearborn burger Fish and chips Mushroom truffle grilled cheese Fried calamari BLT Looking forward to our next return and to try something new on the menu!

Taking in dinner bf going to musical. Loved the vibe of the restaurant. It was very busy but they had plenty of employees taking care of customers. Ordered a thin crust pizza, spicy lobster shrimp burutta. I loved the thin crust. The spicy aspect was right at the border for being too spicy but I enjoyed it. I would prefer more shrimp/lobster. For dessert, I had salted caramel gelato. It was delicious. My first time to have it.

This is an excellent spot for a special occasion! I visited recently with a large group for brunch and we had a great experience all around. Regardless of the time of day and especially during peak hours, I would definitely recommend making a reservation to air on the safe side. The staff prepared our table super quickly and was very attentive- they really went above and beyond throughout the meal. I do not recommend skipping the drinks! I ordered the seasonal Si Se Puede, Tia mezcal cocktail, which was quite spicy and perfectly sweet. For appetizers, we shared the parkerhouse rolls. The rolls were soft and buttery with a delicious whipped butter spread. For the main dish, I ordered the Dearborn Burger. It was solid overall and the portion size was very generous. I tried the fish and chips as well which were excellent. Would definitely order this next time! For dessert, we tried the sticky toffee date cake. I liked that it was not too heavy, and the Heath bar crumbles added a nice crunch. My only wishlist would be to have more of that delicious sauce to scoop up! We left with ample leftovers and in high spirits. Definitely looking forward to visiting again and trying more of the menu!

NO.

I see in categories you have "vegan options". What are they?

Be careful here. Fries are cooked in the same oil as the chicken and the brussel sprouts are cooked on the same grill as the meat. Unless you want a salad my answer would be "none".

Do you offer half portions for people that have had bariatric surgery?

Thank you for your inquiry. We offer a cup of soup and side versions of our Little Gem Caesar and Market Salad. If you have any additional questions, please call us directly at (312)384-1242.

Are jeans acceptable to wear for dinner on a Saturday?

Absolutely!

How long should a party of three expect to be seated on a Sunday for lunch?

This is a time dependent, a good rule of thumb is 45min or less.

What are the Happy Hour specials and what days and times please?

I don't believe they have a happy hour but it's a wonderful place to go, worth the money.

What Is The Happy Hour Menu?

Sorry but I didn't notice.

I see some comments about happy hour food and drink specials but do not see a separate menu on their website. Is there a happy hour menu on Friday or Sunday? If so, what are the hours? Thanks!

Hi, Fran! While we don't do drink specials for happy hour, we do have a small bites menu that's… Read more

No valet parking isn't available

I'm not sure, but I believe brunch ends at 2 p.m.

Yes!

Does the Dearborn have a happy hour menu? If he'd what is the details on the time and contents?

I don't think they do cuz I didn't see it on the menu.

It says this place is not good for kids. Why?

On the contrary! The Dearborn has a kid's menu that appeals to everyone. Aisles are wide enough to easily manage strollers, and we have many booster seats and high chairs for little ones!… Read more

With a cozy locals vibe, there was a mix of young professionals on laptops and families starting the morning. The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. I got the horchata latte, which tasted even better than I hoped. I also ordered a El Chavo Torta, a deceptively simple sandwich that was incredibly delicious. I don't know what they put in the bread or what magical place they bought the cheese from, but my mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I'm in Chicago again, La Malinche is on my list of must visit spots.

The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds.
