Pretty good location here. They have a free parking lot, so it makes for easy access. There is an armed security guard at the front door, so you know you and everyone else is a bit more safe. If you're from out of town, you may find the store pricey. Here's what happened to me though. I saw a 12 pack of beer that I wanted. The price on the cooler was marked $12.99. Not too bad I thought. But when it came time to ring it up....it comes up $14.99. Now throw in county, state, local taxes, I paid $16.97 for that 12'er!

Amazingly broad selection of dessert wines. Many bottles from unusual producers. Prices are market or lower. Staff were super helpful and engaging.

I always love shopping at Binny's. This River North location is small but filled with great things. Last night it was also filled with a ton of staff. I appreciate they were ready for the holiday crush but there were so many people hanging around in small groups chatting, that it was difficult move through the store and keep a safe distance. One male employee kind of coughed/cleared his throat as his passed me!!! Come on. You have to be kidding! The parking lot is kind of wonky. There is a narrow entrance with a decent decline. The small lot is L shaped. Once in a spot, it can be difficult to back out and navigate to the hill to get out. I would not want to try to park a huge SUV in there. The security guard welcomed me warmly. The tons of staff were all friendly. The woman who checked me out could not have been kinder. She was friendly, personable and professional. She assisted me with my box into my cart, which I appreciated very much. The entrance is filled with fun gift items and specialty swag that you shouldn't miss. In addition to a great new bottle of wine, local liquor, and chocolates, I picked up few stocking stuffers. I even found a whimsical pair of socks. Who knew?!?! I fully recommend Binny's. I prefer the larger stores but I will definitely return to this location for the vast assortment of inventory, convenient location and helpful staff.

I stopped in to purchase some sparkling wine to celebrate the New Year! There were many team members greeting and helping individuals find items in this densely packed store with both people and merchandise. Customer Service is definitely an A+! Apparently there are two sections of sparkling wine and champagne-if you want the small sized bottles for individuals they are in a separate section-which was helpful that a team member saved me the time trying to locate what I needed. FYI-There is free parking in a parking lot on site. BONUS-East Coast Herr's Potato Chips are in big bags near the register-flavors include: Old Bay, BBQ Pulled Pork, Buffalo Wings with Ranch, and other gourmet good flavors!

(Questionable choices aside... ) great prices! ($12)

Great selection of liquor in downtown Chicago. I was on vacation and realized I "needed" Froot Loop vodka. I was genuinely shocked that Binny's had it! I was expecting the prices to be exorbitant given the location, but honestly they were on-par (if not cheaper) than stores back home in Cincinnati. ($12/ 750cc bottle). If you're a fan of making drinks in your hotel room to save money, this is your place.

A few blocks from my job which is a bonus for me. My first time coming here and won't be my last. I needed to purchase a gift card so on my lunch I walked down to this Binny's. This is a nice size store with a large selections and varieties of wine, beer, and other spirits (you name it, they have it). In the back is a Wine Cellar. Customer Service is a little weird. This one worker instead of asking "May I help you" he just staring looking crazy blocking the aisles. It didn't stop with just this worker. The other workers were just standing around talking about their personal life. Not once paying attention to their customers. Rude and Unprofessional. Since I love Binny's. I will only knock off one star for the employee's working on this day.

I only went inside to escape the light rain, but I ended up having the nicest experience with the two owners, a sweet older couple. They immediately made me feel welcome, chatting with me, giving me suggestions on places to check out in the city, and just radiating kindness. By the time I was ready to leave, it was pouring outside. They offered me a plastic bag to protect my things and encouraged me to stay until the rain slowed down. It was such a small gesture, but it really left an impression. While I was there I also noticed how warmly they greeted every customer who came in, and people were genuinely happy to stop by. This was such a memorable and heartwarming first impression of Chicago. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this shop to say hello to the wonderful owners. Of course I got distracted and browsed the store. There was souvenirs in this store as well, which I was not expecting. I wound up picking up winter gloves because I forgot mine at home. I then discovered a clearance cart that had a variety of boozes in there. I was super excited to find Malort! I found a unique cocktail recipe years ago that had Malort in it but was never able to find it in FL. Little did I know, it is very well known in Chicago! Obviously I purchased a little 6 pack. I browsed the aisles somewhat but did not find anything that caught my eye. I also did not want to purchase a bunch of bottles to walk with a couple of blocks. As I was waiting for the person in front of me to finish, the employee asked the customer to please step ahead so I could put my items down. He was already done and taking his time doing something else so I felt that was thoughtful of him to do for me. They were very polite and quick. The process seemed reasonable for the most part but the souvenirs were overpriced. The store was clean and tidy as well.

Upper management really needs to get its act together. It's not just staffing issues, as medication refills are typically partial making it necessary to make 2-3 trips to the pharmacy to get the total prescription. This is clearly not an issue with staff, but management who is trying to have minimal staff to save money. I'd highly encourage everyone to move their prescriptions to Amazon and have them delivered. What was once an incredibly frustrating experience 2-3 times a month is now something I no longer think about and is stress-free. Based off of the other reviews, pharmacy issues seems to be a theme here.

The guy working there was a great conversation and we talked bourbon for a good 15 mins. He showed me store picks, rarities and new items. Their wine and beer areas were packed with inventory, but I didn't even take the time to peruse. (I did notice a lot of local craft beer when he was taking care of a customer). If you're a Buffalo Trace fan they had bottles for around $37.50 along with a store picked barreled variant. Eagle Rare was just under $60, Colonel Taylor $69.99 and Blanton's was around $115. I saw three bottles that were intriguing including an Old Fitzgerald 7 year bottled in bond for $69.99, a Weller Full Proof for $120 and a Blanton's Gold store barrel pick for $185. For a bourbon fan they had most of the bigger distiller portfolios available with a lot of popular smaller distillers too. The prices were slightly higher than you'd like to see, but fair if you live in a state like PA where the state has liquor privatized and New Jersey stores will rape you on rare bottle prices. The taxes were high so be prepared for the city and state taking their cut. I made my purchase and happily left with some great finds. I would highly recommend visiting these guys. Thanks guys!
