I came in here with a ton of questions! I know nothing about wine, and walked out feeling like an expert. Owner was very knowledgeable, friendly and she helped me find wine for a special occasion. Will definitely be back! read more

This place deserves more attention. I love coming to Damen and I'm surprised I didn't know about this place. They have an amazing beer and wine selection going. The people who work there are really nice as well. At the time we went there, there was a beer tasting happening. We got to try an IPA called Launch Juice. Normally I hate IPAs, but this one didn't have a strong IPA flavor so we bought a pack. We bought their Launch Juice and S'more beer. To me, the s'more had a thicker consistency and is definitely a stronger beer but rich with flavor. My partner said it tasted like a shot so take my review with a grain of salt. I'd come back here to try their other stuff! read more

Liquor Park - Beer selection - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This is the most amazing place to get great bottled beer in Wicker Park and Chicago in general. Tasting with Arcade on a Friday, hell yes. A bottle of Pipeworks Citra, mm hmm. Pipeworks Wills Super Awesome New Rad Saisonathon from the cooler, why not? And a bonus beer to go with my Darkhorse tres too-boot! Truly the place to get your BYOB booze when dining around Milwaukee and Damen in Wicker Park. They do have wine, but I will need an excuse to stop drinking good beer to check that out at this spot. Bonus, great catchy name! read more

Liquor Park - Beers! Glorious beers! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

My wife and I's favorite place to hit up for our weekly imbibing. They have a great selection that offers variation outside of the mainstream at pretty reasonable prices. The owners/managers are also very knowledgeable and helpful with any recommendations when we're not quite sure what we want. read more

Liquor park is a small, locally owned and run liquor store. The owners are very friendly and knowledgable, and they have a wonderful selection of beers and hard liquors. They are always ready to chat and help you find something that matches your taste. I can't say i've been steered wrong by them when they have helped me try something new. My only gripe is that they don't have much to taste in store. Sometimes you don't want to shell out $60 for a bottle of bourbon if you have never tried it. I realize they are small and and probably can't have a bottle of everything open, but I'm not sure i've ever seen any open bottles at their store. And i know of a few other local shops, that are also small and privately owned that do have things to sample. So if they need to change anything it would be that. In any case, if you are in the area, and need some booze, you won't go wrong stopping in at Liquor Park. read more

Don't let the outside of this place make you think it's not amazing. Because it is. I decided to check it out solely because of the name. Liquor Park. In Wicker Park. Get it?! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. In today's instance I just wanted to browse so he left me alone which I appreciated. One of my pet peeves is when I say I'm good and they keep bugging you about what you're looking for. There are a ton of options for beer, wine, and liquor. Tons of unique options and my personal favorite part was the labels that went along with the prices. Clever things like "Have a bottle of this in the fridge for special occasions. Like Tuesday." (That's the bottle I went with haha.) Prices are also anywhere from very cheap to pricier so they have a pretty wide variety. Highly recommend! read more

Liquor Park - two bottles of wine on display - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

See all

I think it may have been the owner we encountered, but the dude working here was everything you'd ever want in a liquor store guy. Super friendly and knowledgable of every product. Covered craft beers, wine, ciders, and didn't even pass judgment when we enquired about about the hard seltzers. Just smiled and presented what he had. We left with a tasty Mexican cream ale for a get together and an additional list of other stuff we have to try in the future. Liquor Park is a small shop, but you'll get some excellent attention here. Kinda like a personal trainer for you wine and beer pairings. read more

Terrible customer service. Called to see if an item was in stock and it wasn't. I said I'd check back periodically and she said no just come in don't call first...how crazy is that. read more

Great choice of wine and craft beer. Lady who works there is very knowledgeable on wines and will always help to choose the one you are looking for. read more

Great selection and real personal touch from the people that work here. Happy to offer suggestions and speak to the different beer offerings. Definitely my new local go to for beer and liquor. read more

Love this place! They have an amazing selection of wine. Natural wines, rare bottles, love it! They are also very professional and friendly. Bought a bottle saw another one I wanted and even after the transaction they swapped bottles without hesitation. Didn't make me feel bad about it at all and that is why I'm writing this. Hate to spill the beans but, they have tons of Las Jaras! read more

Liquor Park recently opened (transitioned from Life's a Cabernet in the same spot) and we had been going there for some time before the transition. It is a small neighborhood liquor store. For a small spot, they have a great selection of beers and wine in a range of price points (many wines are under $20). They also have some select liquor options. Plus, if you like something, they can also try to order it for you too. The perks are the free tastings and the customer service. There are generally free tastings on most weekends and they also generally do other specialty tastings. Janel is fantastic and has learned our palate during the Life's a Cabernet days (she is a Sommelier and is one of the owners of Liquor Park). She knows our favorite wine and is great at offering recommendations when we want to try something new. Paul was also very helpful when I stopped in to pick up some artisan beers to do a beer tasting with out of town guests. I am a non beer drinker but the crowd was very pleased with the results. As with most smaller, independent stores, there is a small markup in the prices when compared to the big box retailers. However, it is worth it for the customer service and supporting a local business! read more

This place is the absolute best. It's so awesome that I can walk my dog and also stop by to grab some booze & bring her inside! Best selection, best service, best people. Liquor Park rules. read more

Stopped in at the minute for the first time today. Extremely friendly and knowleable staff. They are able to answer any questions you might have about beer or wine. Support this local busuness. read more

Never thought I'd review a liquor store but this place is a neighborhood favorite. The team that works here is not only friendly but knowledgeable about their many local products. My last couple of visits I don't even look at what's on the racks or in the fridge. I tell them what I'm in the mood for and my price point and I haven't been disappointed yet. This is a spot I look forward to visiting after a long week read more

For a small store, there's a lot to find here! Plenty of solid beers to be found in two refrigerators when you walk in and there's another fridge in the back with some chilled wines. My visit was a simple one... (b)rosé to pair with some tacos, of course. Paul approached us and picked out a nice chilled bottle for around $15. Perfect! To boot, there was some local booze around the counter area, which might warrant a return visit sooner than later. Great store! do it. read more

This is a great local liquor store. They have an excellent selection of beer and always get special releases in. They also have some great bourbon and an extensive wine selection. The staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and eager to help. My husband stops in at least once/week to see new beers they've gotten in and we love to support this great business! read more

This place is the best...nicest staff possible, super helpful, amazing variety, my favorite liquor store ever!

I wish this place was a little closer to me, but otherwise, it's swell. A small space, but nicely laid out, with a tremendous selection of beers and a good choice of wines and liquors; it's only been around for a year, but it's become a must-stop when we're in the neighborhood. The beer selection is really impressive, always up-to-date, and supported by a staff that really knows what they're talking about. Also, they have the perfect name, and you can't ignore that. If you happen to live in the neighborhood, this is a good go-to bottle shop. read more

If you are looking for the best selection of craft beer in Chicago, this is the place!

Paul was great. Good customer service is hard to find these days. He exceeded expectations. We will be back.

Awesome service. The owner definitely knows his stuff and helped me pick an amazing beer. This place has so many different choices of unique beers, wines, and spirits. read more

My new go-to spot for wine, beer, and cider. Though the store is small, they have a super great & extensive selection! The staff is also very helpful and give fantastic recommendations. read more

I love this spot! They are just as excited and knowledgeable describing the inexpensive items as they are the pricey ones! I won't go anywhere else unless I have to! Wine of the month club was the best gift I gave last Christmas! And they REALLY know their whiskeys! read more

Great little shop. I was able to find unique beers for myself and cocktail booze for my wife. Paul assisted me with finding something similar to St Germain, there were a few options. After a brief comment on each I picked one up and couldn't be happier. There was even the bus tracker app on a screen so I could see when the next one was coming. read more

An excellent concentrated selection of craft beers, fine (yet affordable) wines and tasty whiskey. This is my new "go to" liquor store in wicker park. They also have a great wine club, regular tastings and treats for my dog. The staff is pasionate and more than willing to help with questions and/or make recommendations. Highly recommend this spot. read more
