Low-Fat Scrambler and Homemade Coffee Cake
Irma F.

Had some time to kill so decided to check this place out. It's a nice small breakfast spot with friendly staff. I had the Low-fat Scramble and asked to add avocado and put the tortilla chips on the side. Happy They were very willing to accommodate my request. Very tasty especially that green salsa. Also had the coffee that came with free refills (they kept it full lol ) and offered 3 different creamer choices. Always excited for that. Lasts, the coffee cake was delicious and homemade. This day they had a strawberry flavor--- first time trying it-- really good. Nice solo breakfast.

This is a great breakfast place in the summerlin/peccole ranch area. I love their variety of skillets! The Mexican skillet was my favorite and I could customize it to however I wanted. The special came with a warm coffee cake which was delicious! Our server was very good.

I recently visited The Cracked Egg for breakfast, and while the service was excellent, the food was a major disappointment. Starting with the positives the hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. We requested a booth, and she made it happen. Our server Andi, was also fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and kept our waters filled without us having to ask. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant was clean, and we were seated within five minutes. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the service. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it was hands down the worst I've ever had. It looked and tasted like something from a movie theater concession stand. There were no tortilla chips in it, just some random jalapeños thrown on top, which left me confused and the cheese they use tasted so cheap. The scramble was completely flavorless, and the hash browns were undercooked--you can even see in the photo how bland they looked. At nearly $17, it was definitely not worth the price, maybe $8 at most. The one redeeming factor, besides the service, was their tea selection, which was decent. But overall, the food was such a letdown that I don't think I'll be back to try anything else on the menu. If you're looking for great service and a nice atmosphere, this place delivers--but if you're here for the food, you might want to look elsewhere.

Fast service and quick turnaround. The menunis large, the.wait service was quick and food arrived in minutes. Friendly staff, clean seating arrangements made this place a recommended choice. The menunis a little pricey but it came with great service.

The seasoned potatoes were amazing. I put ketchup on them as a horrible habit, totally regretted it. Eggs, over easy. Bisquits were fluffy. I tasted the gravy once it hit the table. Then I added salt & pepper, didn't help. Sub par. My son got the same with hash browns. They gave him hash browns that barely hit the stove top. I asked for Cooked hash browns and they came super oily/buttery. Didn't eat them either. All in all what you see is what we left. Spent 45.00 This place isn't for us, but good on Cracked egg for trying.

A great breakfast experience every time! For the first time I ordered the chicken fried steak skillet and it was amazing! My eggs were cooked exactly how I like them and the raspberry coffee cake was on point! The server was very friendly!

Decided to hold our book club at a brunch spot this month and settled on The Cracked Egg. We came around 11:45 on a Sunday and were seated in a booth within 15 minutes. I was expecting a longer wait, so this was a pleasant surprise. One of my friends ordered the french toast of the day, which was supposed to be raspberry cheesecake, but she received some other kind that had peanut butter. She decided not to send it back and just picked at it then took most of it home. I got the Mexican skillet (around $24 after 20% tip) and my other friend got the southwest scramble. Both were very tasty. However, our waters were not filled once during our meal, which was unfortunate since the server was friendly. We were also bummed that they didn't have any specialty coffee drinks. I think I'd come back here, but I also am not dying to return.

Great little breakfast spot with a vast menu. Very attentive and friendly service. We had pancake and egg combos---one with chocolate chips and bananas, one with coconut and macadamia nuts. Both were yummy and filling. Nice atmosphere.

Located off Charleston and Haulapai the Cracked Egg offers a solid breakfast menu featuring many delicious egg dishes, and amazing French toast delights! The restaurant appears to be well managed , servers are polite and fast. Today I tried the breakfast croissant served with potatoes. Overall if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, with good service and food this is your place.

Being a southern girly you know what a good country fried steak and gravy will be and this was it, some bites didn't well with others but whatever I still ate it and the hashbrowns I loved more than anything as for the coffee that was gone the moment it hit the table, now the ambiance was so calm and peaceful such a clean place and that comes from our service of course everyone in here greeting with hellos and goodmorning felt like I was at home I'm coming back soon

Food: good selections of breakfast for all early birds' cravings; mediocre flavors Service: Good attentive staff Ambience: good morning vibe Don't want to cook early in mornings for families? Good decent breakfast place

North Shore on the bottom and South Shore on top.

Early Sunday morning in a cafe recommend by the locals in Summerlin. Super busy but we did get a table for two. Ordered a South Shore Scramble and North Shore Scramble with a side of Coffee Cake and Seasoned Potatoes. All good and filling. The coffee cake was more akin to birthday cake, a nice dessert in the morning. Super service by our server Clarissa, fast, efficient and accurate. The signs on the wall were entertaining and thought provoking.

Is it dog friendly?

Although I do not know for sure, they have an outside patio option with metal bench type seating that would certainly allow dogs I would think.

There was about a 10 minute wait to order, which we didn't mind given how crowded it was. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill when it was our turn. The staff member taking our order said, "do you know what you want?" in an unwelcoming tone. Even though, his tone turned me off, we still placed an order (...probably shouldn't have). We ordered the Freckled Redhead burger ($16) and the Chicken with Mac Waffle ($17). After ordering, we were given a number and waited outside. The food came out after about 20 minutes and we took it home to eat. A different staff member served our to-go order and she seemed nice. As much as we wanted to enjoy it, the food was just OK. The chicken was seasoned well but it seemed over fried, which made it dry. The waffle itself was decent but only had a small amount of mac and cheese inside. I had seen previous photos where mac and cheese was also served on the side, so that was disappointing. My boyfriend had the burger and said it was just OK as well...nothing special and not really worth the price. Overall, the staff member taking orders didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, and should probably take a break or work in the back. The food wasn't exciting like we hoped. We give it 2 stars. Even though we live nearby, we probably wouldn't return for the food. Maybe the coffee and drinks are better, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

A friend recommended we stop here for breakfast or lunch on our way to Zion, Utah. We always make a…read morestop in Vegas to stock up on groceries and grab brunch before heading to Zion for camping. The food here is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious - but they really need to step up their dishwashing and make sure the food is served hot. There's nothing worse than ordering coffee and seeing purple lipstick on the rim of your cup. It makes you want to leave right away. Then comes the inner debate - do you say something and risk being that customer, or just wipe it off and move on? On top of that, getting food that's supposed to be hot but arrives cold is frustrating. You sit there wishing you were at home where you could just microwave it - because the food is that good and would taste even better at the right temperature. Our experience wasn't helped by our waiter, who seemed disinterested after the lipstick incident (same guy mentioned in previous reviews that comes off rude AF/ agreed!). We didn't feel like asking for much after that. On the bright side, one of the waitresses was amazing - she looked like she was carrying the whole place. The chef clearly knows what she's doing because the food coming out of the kitchen was fantastic. That said, attention needs to be paid to cleanliness and serving hot food. There's no excuse for that. Despite these issues, I gave it five stars because the problems are fixable and don't take away from how incredible the food is. For reference, we visited on Friday, January 3rd, in the morning. There was a nearby parking structure and no wait time. The decor is a mix of farm-to-table and modern bistro - nothing overly exciting or disappointing. We were just looking for a good brunch spot, and this place is truly a hidden gem. Hopefully, they address the concerns we mentioned because it's worth coming back for! __________ To the Chef, Your food is incredible - truly Michelin-worthy. However, the staff is serving it cold and sometimes on dirty dishes. This isn't the first review mentioning these issues. Also, the tall white guy with grey hair was incredibly condescending and rude. Hospitality doesn't seem to be the right fit for him. It's disappointing to see someone like that representing the amazing work and love you pour into your dishes. On the flip side, the waitress with long brown hair was picking up the slack and holding the place together. She deserves recognition - maybe even a promotion. I hope you see this because if the team can consistently serve food hot and on clean dishware, this place could easily become the top brunch spot around. We appreciate your talent and hope this feedback is helpful! - Vee & Mike

It has a rustic, darker ambiance and not your usual bright and sunny brunch spots. The menu not too big, but offered enough varieties that we decided to try the biscuit and gravy as well as the corned bee hash. We also got house coffee and they were from mother ship coffee. Food came out quickly, but they were lukewarm and felt like it was already made and just put under a food light to be kept warm. The biscuit was good and soft, but the gravy was a little too salty. The corned beef came in a smaller portion than I expected, and the beef was diced too thin that they didn't have great texture and flavor. Coffee was good, but overall food was not as good as we'd expect. Service was average, the waitress was nice but didn't offer much service besides bringing out initial water and coffee over. No one really checked in on us after the food was served. I'd most likely not be back as there are many other brunch places in the downtown area to explore.

It is a Wed night at 8:30pm and it had several tables full but we were still able to be seated right away. The place is hard to find so heads up! Whomever curated this has incredible & varied music taste and it all works together! 90's R&B, Alternative, Grunge Rock, all of it so good! The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!

Be sure to get some thick bacon slices to go (mango habanero, maple glazed, honey-cured) - always nice to chew on during that nine hour Sunday evening drive back to SoCal. And unlike those anorexic slices that fast food places put on their burgers, you can actually taste this bacon. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., they serve lunch too and if you're in 'growling stomach mode', try the Boarrito but be forewarned - this is a pork-fest of a monstrosity that's not designed for consumption by weight watchers or thoroughbred jockeys. A large tortilla filled with ham, sausage, bacon crumbles, pulled pork, guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo is then wrapped on the outside with countless slices of more bacon, smothered with cheese sauce and sour cream...now I need to take a nap just thinking about digesting it.
