Super last min we decided to stop in for breakfast. We were had limited time and knew we were rolling the dice with how long we'd have to wait since it was A-Sunday & B-Mother's Day. We were shocked that we were seated right away. It was a very busy Sunday morning at 10 AM. However someone came by very quickly to take our drink order, and our server followed shortly after to take our food order. We received our food probably about 10ish minutes after we ordered it which was impressive for as busy as it was. Our food was delicious like always. My husband had the chicken fried steak which was a very hearty portion. I had the Harvest Salad with some of their delicious salsa. The avocado is a very generous portion especially these days. There was no refill offer on our beverages. I had to ask for a coffee refill after I was finished with my meal otherwise I don't think I would have gotten one. Don't play with my coffee needs bro ....JK....not really though. Our server was very busy so I really don't want to give less than 5 stars. He definitely had a busy shift like everyone else @ HC who was holding it down on a busy Mother's day Sunday. I went to Harvest Cafe on the Friday of my birthday weekend for breakfast at 9 a.m., before going to the barber shop. I got seated promptly, and my server, Janet, had a super cheery, warm, and genuinely positive spirit that I felt! I ordered the special, which consisted of French toast, eggs, bacon, and tomato juice. I typically would order ham. However, I ordered bacon because ham isn't included with the special and costs $6 or $7. Orange, Apple, Cranberry, and Tomato juice don't come with free refills, while standard soft drinks do. The French toast was buttery-soft and delicious, and I enjoyed my meal, Janet's warm attitude, and excellent customer service. My meal cost 18.73 because I paid cash; if I had paid with a card, it would have cost 19.39. Bring cash if you want to save money. We found this hidden gem after passing it incessantly on our daily commute. We stopped in after church and were immediately seated. Everything is cooked to order but the food was definitely good. The portion sizes were pretty big as well. I didn't get picture because I was so hungry but I got the strawberry pancakes either hash browns, eggs and bacon and it was very reasonably priced as well. Woke up early and wanted to get some breakfast before I started running all my errands, decided to check this place out. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the Cafe. I was waiting to be sitted but then I was told I could sit myself. My waitress did come by and gave my a menu and asked what I would like to drink I said for now water is fine with no ice, oh course I got ice with my water. I'm guessing she didn't hear me. Harvest Cafe is very much like a budget diner. They offer all day breakfast and a mixed menu of soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees. They also offer a three course $15. dinner special. They are located in a strip mall in the North-West part of town. It sort of looks like a diner inside with lots of booths. They also have traditional tables for seating. We both decided to try a $15. three course dinner special. I started out with a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad was washed and still wet. The dressing was thinned down a little too much for my taste. You might do better ordering an oil based dressing here. I tried the grilled cod dinner. The cod came in fish stick shapes and was coated with flour that didn't taste cooked. The cod was slightly over done and also was tough and chewy. This was the best part of the plate. I ordered the cod because I thought it was the easiest protein to cook decent from frozen. I know where I'm at. I'm not expecting great. I was expecting ok. My husband tried the chicken parmesan. It came with mushy spaghetti. He said it taste exactly like he thought it would. Kinda like a frozen dinner. But he was happy with it because this is what he expected for the price. Desserts were made with a budget kind of tasting ice cream-like confection. Most of the people dining here were regulars that also were senior citizens. Everyone is great and the food is amazing. I have tried their sandwiches and burgers also is a great spot for breakfast.

This is one of those hidden gems that remind you of your childhood when you'd go to breakfast with your parents so early in the morning right before school. The service is always awesome and everyone is so friendly. The cafe is typically filled with older people, and it just reminds me of the times I'd go to breakfast with my grandpa. I love getting the biscuits and gravy here, it's one of the few places (so far) that my mom & I really enjoy it from. Start off we coffee and some water. We ordered Denver omelette with potatoes and toast and country fried steak (pork) with over easy eggs and toast. The toast bread with butter was good in itself. Harvest Cafe is a place I can get used to. A diner-ish restaurant with a diner menu which includes home fries! Alhough a little S&P was needed, but no complaints. I don't leave reviews often but this visit to Harvest Cafe was a little disappointing. Our waitress made the experience not very enjoyable. She only came to our table to bring our food and the check , never checked on our nice during the meal ( no water refills , no how is your meal nothing ) and when I brought it her attention she didn't seem to care. Pleasantly surprised by the great service and good food from this spur of the moment visit to Harvest Café. We don't live on this side of town, but my hubs parents do, so it's definitely a place we can have in the back pocket for when we come by. Walking in on a Saturday around 11:15am, I was worried there would be a long wait. Luckily, there wasn't, and we were seated right away. But then, I thought to myself, oh no, why is there no wait? I didn't need to worry though. We were in good hands. The place is not overdone with some nice decorations. I like that there is a quiet side room, where we got sat. Everything seemed pretty clean and well taken care of. After being sat, someone came right away to get our drink orders but she wasn't our server. Our server came a little later than expected but we had our drinks and were talking so it wasn't a big deal. After that though, we saw her quite a bit as she checked on us and made sure we had everything we needed. Food came out fast, hot and correct. I love this! I loved the corned beef made into patties and really appreciated the crispy hash browns. Great portion sizing here. I also loved all the condiments on the table. Started off with a great cup of coffee. I then ordered the Churros waffle with bacon,egg whites scrambled and my partner ordered the pancakes with egg and sausage. We both dug in so fast, I almost forget to take a picture. The Churros waffle was light and huge. The chef added the right amount of topping, so there was no need to add butter or syrup....delicious! Went here for the first time today and will NEVER go back! Sat at our table for 10 minutes waiting for the server to take our order. We finally asked the server at the next table where was our server and she said I'll take your order. Two tables came in and ordered AFTER us and all of their food came and we still hadn't received ours! When we asked for the manager then our food came COLD!!!! I was pleasantly surprised by this unassuming restaurant that sits in a strip mall. I was in search of a place that still had a good breakfast at 3pm. Reading my fellow Yelper reviews I decided to give this place a try. Upon walking in you are promptly greeted and seated. While I originally intended to order breakfast which is awesomely served all day, I also saw a specials menu for entrees served from 2pm-7pm. Most are $13.99 on the menu and our server pointed out that the specials come with salad or soup and a dessert! My party of two ordered a Chicken Parmesan and Grilled Cod at the suggestion of the server. The salad that came out was a nice size, cold and crisp. When the entrees came out both tasted really good and were impressively hot in temperature which is a total win for me. The Chicken Parm was nicely breaded and fried and the sauce was also good. The chicken is a generous portion. The Grilled Cod was also pretty good. It comes with green beans and a rice pilaf. The strawberry shortcake is a cold pound cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream to top it off. It was a delicious ending to the entire meal. The service is great here. They don't even deserve a star. That is at the new location. The one on Craig rd is so good and we go there often. We decided to try the new location today and I will never go back. I told them that my coffee was warm and asked for a hot cup of coffee so they put my cup in the microwave and it was so hot I could barely hold it. Then I received my eggs that I asked to be scrambled soft instead they were hard so I asked them to make them soft. When I received my eggs the second time they were half raw. Someone was upset that they were returned. I made the mistake of eating them because I hungry and had an upset stomach the rest of the day. This is a hidden gem! Harvest Café is located off of the 95/Durango, Craig/Decatur area. It's in a strip mall next to several other businesses. There is spacious amount of parking available. My colleague and I stopped by for lunch around 12:00 P.M on a Wednesday. The place was pretty busy, but there were still a few open tables and booths available. You can pick your own seating. The team at Harvest Café are amazing! We were immediately provided waters and menus. Harvest Cafe has breakfast, lunch and certain dinner options. There looked to be so many tasty items on the menu! It was difficult to choose! Ultimately, I decided on the following, the patty melt, medium/well done and my colleague selected the Chicken Parm Sandwich. We didn't wait long for the food, approximately 15 minutes! The Patty melt was delicious. The patty had rye bread with onions. It was scrumptious! The French Fries were my favorite though. It had a great texture and was crispy! My colleague enjoyed his Chicken Parm sandwich. We had such a wonderful experience at the Harvest Café. This little gem I stumbled in visiting out in the residential a little bit from the strip (15 mins or less) First thing that I notice that it is VERY popular with seniors . Active retirees I would say! ... no walkers or wheelchairs or anything (doesn't matter, just sayin') if you are over 30 and looking for a place to eat with mom and dad this is perfect. Huge menu selection of American cuisine. Fresh salads which I really enjoyed! Decore is not fancy, staff super nice and fast! If I was local I would probably eat breakfast and lunch here often. I was unfortunately at this cafe trying to to enjoy my lunch. The waitress Anna was absolutely horrible I believe she is racist. The gentleman I was with was white and that is the only person she made eye contact with. I asked her was she ok? She looked down & said yes. I'm afro latina and I know what racism looks like. First time here and I was surprised how good the food was. I ordered an omelette, which I normally don't, because places tend to brown the egg, which I hate. To my surprise, the eggs were cooked perfectly, fluffy, cooked through, but not browned at all. The omelet took up half the plate! The service was great too. Our food came quickly. Harvest Cafe has a variety of tasty breakfast and lunch offerings. I was here for the Eggs Benedict only. I repeat MY REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE EGGS BENEDICT. The waitress, Karina, was very cordial and helpful. I was greeted by staff and showed to a booth. My request for a black coffee and water was brought right away. I have a "top ten" list for Benedicts. This is how I rate them. My rating is based on 3 weights : 70% = taste 20% = presentation 10% = price #1 - taste: they have an option of hash browns or breakfast potatoes. I chose hash browns . I asked for easy/light poached eggs and was presented with 2 medium poached eggs. I did not find out if the Hollandaise sauce was from scratch but it was thin and had a vary tart flavor. The Canadian bacon was tough and grisly. The reason I review Eggs Benedict is because of the difference in the flavor of the Hollandaise sauce. Their decent amount of hash browns were shredded and cooked perfectly. #2 -presentation : The presentation was ok. #3-price: $13.99 is the reasonable price for Benedicts with hash browns. Coffee for $3.55 a cup is on the high side. A couple of years ago I tried their breakfast and was not impressed. This review is for the Eggs Benedict only.
