    Turkey and corn snack plate
    Sue H.

Covered parking! Woohoo! Well it's hot in Las Vegas, and we were woefully unprepared for only outside seating. Armed with this ice cold cup of naturally sweet cantaloupe juice, we trips around the building through the rocks to the shaded tables. Food arrived in three minutes. Husband ordered a single meat and one side plate with brisket and beans. Brisket has a very peppery dark bark, and is served half and half with the fatty brisket still attached to the lean brisket slices. Beans included shreds of meat and large chunks of sausage and turkey. Small corn muffin is moist and not overly sweet. He finished his pickles and muffin but had leftovers of everything else. I chose the $12 snack plate with turnkey and corn salad. Beautiful white turkey breast, tender and lightly smoke flavored, surprisingly still very moist. This generous serving was also more than I could eat in one sitting. Homemade pickles of various shapes and slices are a refreshing treat. They are very very sour and tangy. Corn salad has black beans and red peppers in it, topped with a little cheese,a cool creamy contrast to the habanero barbecue sauce. The corn salad is a little sweet and orange but not a distinct flavor on its own. Or maybe my taste buds were numbed by our choice of sauce. We both ordered the habanero barbecue sauce and our cashier giggled a little bit. It is hot but not something we can't consume with a little more cantaloupe juice! Ok, nose running but still enjoyed it a lot. Had to eat and run back to the air conditioned car, which was blissfully parked ...in the shade!

I went to wild fig for lunch yesterday. This should be a 4.5 but I don't have that option. The good: reasonable prices, the fries, home made pickles sauces and corn bread were amazing. The bad: I didn't love the St. Louis style ribs. They had pepper crusted on them and were just not my favorite kind of rib though with the Carolina and sweet sauces still quite tasty. They weren't bad per se just not my style. I will definitely go back bc I think some of the other stuff could be more up my alley and all the accoutrements were very very good

Jalapeño Oklahoma Burger and a side of Brussel Sprouts *Only Available on Thursdays.*

I keep coming back, which says something in itself. Every Thursday they feature burgers, and they always have their signature Dandan: two 100% brisket patties quick-fried in tallow, topped with cheddar cheese and Dandan sauce on a butter-griddled brioche bun. This week they also offered two specials -- the Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions) and the Jalapeño Oklahoma (Dandan with grilled onions and jalapeños). The Dandan has been on my list for a while, so I finally pulled the trigger. I called around 11:30 a.m. and was promptly helped by a friendly employee. After a quick chat about which of the three was best, I went with the Jalapeño Oklahoma and a side of Brussels sprouts. I've had the sprouts before and really liked them -- they felt like a slightly healthier alternative to the usual fried sides. (Though when I arrived to pick up my order, it seemed like everyone else was happily devouring onion rings, which made me second-guess that choice.) As expected, there was a line stretching out the door. I quickly realized I was the only one actually waiting outside. Several people walked straight in, bypassed the line, and got helped right away. Turns out a group of 3-4 people had already ordered and were just hanging out inside in the AC while they waited. Lesson learned: if you've already placed your order, just walk in next time. While I waited, the staff brought out an ice-cold cup of their fresh cantaloupe juice. It's very sweet and genuinely delicious -- highly recommend. I took everything to go and ate at home, so I can't speak to temperature. The burger was big and loaded with meat and cheese -- you couldn't really see the jalapeños or onions at first, but they announced themselves with the first bite. The brisket patties cooked in tallow deliver a deep, rich beef flavor. They're a little firmer than a standard burger (as expected with brisket), so if you're someone who likes a lot of vegetables and toppings, this might not be your ideal burger. But if you're after a straight-up, beef-forward, no-frills experience, you won't be disappointed. The Brussels sprouts were excellent as always -- perfectly balanced with a sweet-tangy balsamic glaze. Let's be honest... I'll definitely be back. Next time I'm trying the classic Dandan -- and those onion rings.

It was hard to take phot of the good food because we were on the go but it's important to give this place its flowers. Now I am not from the south but I love the art of BBQ and smelling the smoker and seeing the pit master at work is always a nice touch. The place is teeny so it's ideal to order ahead to speed up the process. They are in the lakes hidden on your right if you're headed towards the 215 on lake mead. The ribs were juicy but Smokey and tender, the cornbread disappeared so fast I barely got a nibble in but man what a nibble I tell ya. The Mac n cheese and the Brussels sprouts were my favorite side dishes. Vast array of meat selections for your group.

Biscuits and gray. Comes with fried eggs on top but I asked for them on the side.

Stopped in for biscuits and gravy this morning which was great. We sat outside and the smell of the brisket cooking was amazing. We may have to come back to try that! They have a small outside dining area and seem to mostly be a takeout restaurant.

Wild Fig is lowkey one of the best brunch spots I've been to in a minute. They start you off with this free cantaloupe juice and I'm telling you right now... that stuff is basically crack. Cold, fresh, just sweet enough I would pull up just for that alone. I got the biscuits and gravy with eggs on top and it did not miss. Biscuits were soft, gravy was thick and flavorful, eggs cooked right! Whole thing was just solid comfort food. Spot has a chill vibe, service was on point, nothing felt rushed. Definitely coming back. And yeah... I'm getting that juice again

Picnic tables are great for BBQ.

I moved from Chicago to Las Vegas recently. Was wondering if I was going to ever find excellent barbecue here. I'm here to tell you that Wild Fig BBQ is amazing world-class barbecue. The first sign of a good barbecue is that it's just an inconspicuous barbecue place and wild fig is no exception. It's on the side of a reception hall. When I pulled into the parking lot, I knew something special was going to happen. I saw the smoker. A huge 500 gallon beast. Later, I learned that they have 1000 gallon beast in the fenced off area right next to the 500 gallon beast. I could smell barbecue when I walked in the door. And that's a good thing. The people before me ordered their dinner and the owner asked what I wanted to eat and then he said turkey? I said oh no is that all you have left. And he said yes. That's all we have left. So I ordered the one meat combo with turkey and green chili as my side. It came with a piece of homemade cornbread and homemade pickles. I chose the orange chipotle barbecue sauce on the side. Several other people walked in behind me and they all had to order turkey. When they called my name, I took my order outside and sat on the picnic table (another great sign of a great barbecue place). I opened up my dinner and the smell was intoxicating. Let's start with a turkey. Tender and juicy and moist. The hint of barbecue smoke was just amazing. It was probably one of the best smoked turkeys I've ever had in my life. And I've had a lot of smoked turkey. I've even judged smoked turkey in competitions. This was amazing. I dipped the turkey into the orange chipotle, barbecue sauce, and was amazed at the delicious combination of orange and chipotle. Sweet and spicy just hit the spot. It was perfect with the turkey. The homemade pickles and homemade cornbread were delightful. Pickles were crunchy and cornbread was soft and moist and so tasty. I then got to try their house-made pastrami. Along with house-made mustard. So tender and juicy. I was ecstatic to find this type of pastrami available so close to where I'm living. I was also able to test a short rib and a slice of brisket along with their spicy sauce. I will definitely be a regular here and will invite all my friends.

Some of the best barbecue in the city with a catch. This is a review I have struggled with for a little while mainly because I am very conflicted by this spot. I will start with the good, I have been here 3 or 4 times since finding out about it, and I can say when you come on a good day, it's possibly the best barbecued meat you can get in this city. However with that being said, it does seem to be somewhat inconsistent, some visits the meat was perfect, then the next time it was dry and not so impressive. So your experience may vary. We have tried most of the side options between everyone, and I will say they are all pretty decent, and some just okay, none were overly exceptional. The mac n cheese, fries, and potato salad are good, with the corn salad being my least favorite. The real reason to come here is the meat. We all thought the little cornbread/muffins and sauces were pretty damn good though. Where things take a fair turn for the worse, is unfortunately the price and how they structure their combos. The 3 meat combo starts at $36+tax which already stings, but what makes it even worse is that they up-charge for 5 out of the 8 available meat options. I dont like that practice at all, the price should encompass all available options aside from maybe 1 or 2 special offerings. When comparing wild fig to what would be in my opinion their strongest competitor here in vegas we will use the 3 meat combo (Pulled pork, brisket, turkey) which comes to a staggering $45.52 including tax. The competitor comes in at $31.42 for almost the exact same plate which is a roughly 45% increase. Price is subjective and when you're in the ranks of the best in town, I suppose you can charge whatever you like, but it's also fair for consumers to compare you against the other options. The service has always been excellent, the owners have stopped by our table to check in almost every time we have been there, which is something I can appreciate. In summary, this spot is definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of bbq and can swallow the pill of the price. I have been debating 3 or 4 stars, due to the consistency issues and pricing. I settled on 4 because it's local owned, and the owner/s have always went out of their way to check on all the guests. If they could tighten up the consistency, implement a price structure that makes sense, and put a little bit more into the sides, this spot could easily claim the title of best bbq spot in vegas.

    Shindig tray
    Rafael Nikolai R.

I had dined here before and really enjoyed the BBQ, which is why I decided to order the Shindig tray for a party. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. The Shindig was advertised as including 1 lb of each meat, but when I opened the tray, it looked much smaller than I expected. It honestly looked very similar in size to the 3-meat platter I had when I dined in, so I thought part of my order might have been left behind. I politely messaged the owner asking if I had forgotten something or if that was the complete order. Instead of reassuring me or explaining the portions, I received a response that came across as rude: "Yes, you got the Shindig... it depends who cut the brisket... what's the problem with the order?" I was simply trying to make sure my order was complete. The tray did include coleslaw, potato salad, Mexican corn, and muffins, and the food itself tasted good. My disappointment was with the portion size compared to my expectations for a $140 party tray and the way my concern was handled. As a returning customer who chose this place to cater a party, I expected a more helpful response.

I have been hearing about the good food here and I ordered online for pick up on a Sunday . The location might seem strange at first since it seems like you are going into a gated neighborhood but it's a spacious business center. The location is small but if you order ahead and just pick up it's better than waiting in a line . The bbq was amazing and the employees were so friendly . We really enjoyed the food and will be coming back another time.

Hands down the best BBQ in Vegas. I crave this place often!!! I esp love the burnt ends. The pork ribs and sausage are my next favorite. Brisket is delicious too. You seriously cannot go wrong. I've yet to try the shrimp or turkey or chicken. The sides are all delicious too. My favs are the coleslaw. It has a mild honey mustard flavor which I love. The eggplant is insane. It has an Asian flavor which is my favorite. Corn muffins are fire and the pickles are delicious and available to buy by the jar which I have multiple times. They have some daily specious too like the burger which is fire. The musabi is soooo good. I wish they had it everyday. The pastrami sandwich is so good too. Is thick cut like brisket and doesn't taste like regular pastrami but still so good. I love this place

1 meat 1 side combo (but the side is not shown in the image). A corn muffin, pickles, and sauce are also included in the combo. Burnt ends were very tender and flavorful. I chose Brussel sprouts as the side. Brisket is still my #1, burnt ends following closely at #2. All delicious.

First, to the veterans owners thank you for your service. Parking is limited. The place is kinda hidden so if you see the dollar general they are on that area. We drove all the way here to try their cheesy grits and the lady at the cashier said they do not have it today (Sunday) which was advertised they only serve it on Sunday. We decided to go ahead and ordered 3 items a la cart- ribs, beef briskets and burnt ends. They have an up charge $3 for brisket and burnt ends. It came with 3 cornbread and pickles and side orders of macaroni and cheese and brussels sprouts. Drink guava soda. We decided to eat there so its fresh and it was a good weather since they have out door seating only. They deliver the food to you but the same girl told us to get your own utensils inside. Where we sat there was a family in front of us and someone gave them cheesy grits so when I heard it I asked the guy about it. That guy confirmed they have cheesy grits and shrimp and grits. So I told him we were told by the cashier they don't have it so we told her that it was advertised they serve it on Sundays only. He confirmed they do have it. Forgot his name. Even the family in front of us who said they were regulars noticed that something was off about everything today (Sunday). We asked the guy how much and then he came back to our table and gave us shrimp and grits on the house. When it comes to foods--We don't care how much it is we are going to pay it, what we care about is to have a good customer service and great meal. The meat was not tender. Grits were mid. The lack of communication and attitude from their staff needs improvement. It made us feel like they didn't want to serve grits to us . We did not feel welcome--no one is friendly. This review is to help owners to re-assess what happened this day so others won't experience the same. With this experience, I don't think we will go back to this establishment.

We came here for a celebratory birthday for a friend and they treated us correct. Everyone had the filet and it melted as soon as we put the knife on it. This place is......not good. I'm honestly blown away by some of the reviews. The food, the service, the vibe - it was all lacking. I eat at a lot of steakhouses, so I may have higher expectations than the average diner. Service: - Our server was very friendly, but forgot about us the entire back half of our meal (we even skipped ordering dessert because we were completely forgotten about and sat there for so long after finishing dinner). - He was not well versed in handling wine (which IMO in unacceptable for an "award winning steakhouse"). He handled the wine glasses by the bowl instead of the stem and poured extremely large servings, about 4 oversized glasses from a single bottle. Food: - The steak tartare was very thick, large chunks instead of a classic fine mince. It was served with tasteless bread that had heavy black grill marks on it. Would never order again. - The calamari and brussels were both tasty and fine. - My NY strip was so full of tendons that I couldn't even chew through it some of it. I can't remember the last time I actually left a piece of steak on my plate from a dinner. - We were ordered a flight of steak sauces and they were spread all over the table with no explanation of what was what. - As for sides, we ordered mash, mac and cheese, broccolini and cauliflower....all very average. Vibe: - completely lacked ambiance. The lighting was bright, there was no background music, and it felt more like a casual neighborhood diner than a place you'd expect to enjoy a nice steak dinner. Unfortunately, this visit reminded me why it had been years since my last visit. Between the average food, inconsistent service, and lackluster atmosphere, I left genuinely wondering how this restaurant has earned such high ratings. Summerlin has far too many incredible restaurants to justify another visit, and for a steakhouse, I'd choose T-Bones or Harlo every time.

Looking forward to coming back and trying more on the menu!

I shouldn't have to clearly hear conversations that are happening to the tables next to us. It was definitely a squeeze getting in and out of the tables without interrupting the table next to you. Our server recommended getting two plates per person. The menu isn't designed to have appetizers or entrees per se, so this menu seemed like it's kind of a tapas place or kind of not? If the plates aren't appetizers or entrees and they're more shareable, then why would we only get 3 pork ribs pieces instead of 4? The pork ribs had great flavor. it was crispy, tender, and fall off the bone at the same time, but it would've been better if they added one more pork rib bone instead of 3. The whipped brie with blackberry and honey was a bit disappointing. Even after mixing the whipped brie and with the blackberries, there were barely any fruit or honey flavor. All I tasted was salt. The brie was too salty with no taste of fruit or honey. Moreover, the brie came with 2 small pieces of toast, cut into 4 pieces. There was definitely more brie than toast, so we requested additional brioche toast. Of course we got charged extra for the toast. I just think the brie to toast ratio should be better. It seemed like the plate was 85% brie and 15% toast. How are we supposed to eat the rest of the brie when the toast provided is gone? I did not enjoy more brie over brioche ratio. We also got the burger and trout. Both shareable portions. The burger tasted like a slightly elevated Big Mac but saltier. Trout was good and cooked seared with a medium rare center. Flavor wise, the trout and pork ribs were my favorite. Also, the smokin petal cocktail was perfect. Overall, the experience here was just okay.

Frankie's Uptown is known as a Steelers gathering spot, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for: energetic, welcoming, and a great place to catch a game. I ordered the stromboli, and I'm convinced it turned my entire day around. I walked in hungry and left wondering if I should cancel my dinner plans for the rest of the week because nothing was going to top it. Our server was the perfect combination of sweet and sassy--quick with a smile, quick with a comeback, and she made our table of six feel like regulars. Great service can make a meal memorable, and she absolutely did. Speaking of our group... all six of us left happy, which may be the restaurant equivalent of witnessing a solar eclipse. Getting six people to agree on anything is a miracle, but Frankie's pulled it off. Whether you're there to cheer on the Steelers, enjoy a great meal, or just spend time with friends, Frankie's Uptown delivers on all three. Great food, great atmosphere, and a staff that makes you want to come back. Here we go... back to Frankie's!
