Korean Fried Chicken and Chili Mixed Plate
    Alexis G.

Amazing service, same great taste. Makes me miss Hawaii. Forgot how big the portions are. A bowl of saimin can feed two people. Go to order everyone should know, it's the Korean fried chicken / chili mix plate. Inside is very clean and bright. Island reggae for the vibes. It's always a great time at zippys!

LOOOOVE Zippy's!!! This is the newest location opened in Vegas and seems to be open longer than others from 6am-midnight! They've got all the same cool to-go locker system that is so techy. The kids keiki meal comes with coloring menu and crayon and gets you a token to get a toy out of the machine. Highly recommend to sign up for the rewards where you can get $5 off or redeem for a menu item like chili bowl with rice (my fave)! Food: - Korean Fried Chicken Salad with creamy Asian dressing - Chicken Katsu Platter - April Deal Korean Fried Chicken and Chili Mixed Plate - Chili Bowl with rice (my go to for simple bite) - Grilled cornbread (sooo good)

Korean Fried Chicken and Chili Mixed Plate. Substituted rice for extra scoop of Mac salad.

Visiting friends in Las Vegas and heard Zippy's at Summerlin was new so 8 of us went to this Zippy's for dinner. We have all tried Zippy's in Hawaii. We got to Zippy's about 7:00 pm on a Wednesday evening. Not crowded at all and the place looked clean and bright. Our service was very good. Most of us ordered the special $10.99 Korean Fried Chicken & Chili Mixed Plate. We substituted the two scoops of rice for Mac salad and you only get 1 scoop of Mac salad for the 2 scoops of rice. At our Hawaiian restaurants at home we get 2 scoops of Mac for substitution of 2 scoops of rice. Overall the food was decent and enjoyed by the group. The Korean Fried Chicken was tasty, Mac salad was basic and the chili was okay. One of our guys ordered their chili with no beans and he was able to get that so if you don't like beans you can ask for that. Since we don't live in the area not sure if we would be back, but it was an okay establishment for a meal.

Peach Bavarian cake being light and refreshing. 2 layers vanilla chiffon cake. A whipped custard cream mixed with chopped peaches.

So happy that Zippy's has finally made its way to Las Vegas--and even better, continuing to expand so more parts of the city can enjoy all our local kine favorites! From their famous fried chicken and Zip Pacs to saimin, plate lunches, and those onolicious Napoleon desserts... it's all the comfort food you could ask for. Today we made a quick stop to grab a few snacks before hopping on the freeway, and Zander was such a pleasant surprise! Super personable and helpful--he even assisted with slicing our Peach Bavarian cake and getting our takeout order together. He was welcoming, friendly, fast, and efficient--and genuinely seemed happy to be at work, which you don't always see these days. Definitely a big plus!

Really happy they opened a new location around our area. We love us some zippys fried chicken and oxtail soup of course- The place is clean, modern, and still has that classic Zippy's comfort feel. Food-wise, it definitely hit the spot...plate lunches came out hot and portions were solid. Service was friendly fast and pretty efficient. Came on a Friday and it wasn't as busy as the other location so it's great we were in and out quick.

    Orange Bang!

Looks like hash browns but it's corned beef hash. A little on the "Potatoey" side but with a unique taste. 3 eggs, not 2, would be nice. Toast optional but the rice fills you up. They have Orange Bang on tap. Haven't had that in 40 years! Made with whipped orange JUICE w/egg whites make it fluffy. Free refills. Nice selection of baked goods/pastries. I'll go back for the chili.

They are definitely bringing Hawaii to Vegas. They play great Reggae music in the dining room. It's a clean and inviting atmosphere. The service was good, but it was so slow that I thought they were closing. The food was okay. I got the Chicken Katsu. For less I could have gotten a better meal, bigger portions, and better price at L&L which is in the same parking lot

We are trying someplace new every month and this month I picked Zippy's. So...it was just ok. Hubs enjoyed his food, I wasn't super hungry so I just had a couple of sides. I do love macaroni salad in Hawaii! So I ordered a side of mac salad and a slice of teriyaki beef, my husband had the Korean chicken dinner. I'll post pics of both meals. The Mac salad was so salty o couldn't eat it! I tried but it was just too much. The beef was ok. My hubs cleaned his plate so I think he liked everything. Allen was our server and he was so friendly and so nice! He was the highlight of my dinner for sure. I was surprised, for some reason I thought Zippy's was just a fast food place but it's a diner and that's cool, the look definitely suits that. Comfortable booths and tables. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Zippy's again, but my hubs may just show up.

    Korean Fried Chicken Breakfast

It was great to find this iconic Hawaiian restaurant in Las Vegas, right across the street from the Red Rock Hotel/Casino complex. I came early on a Thursday morning and had no wait. I had a delicious breakfast of Korean chicken breakfast with Portuguese sausage and upgraded to fried rice (worth the $2.20). My husband enjoyed some traditional Hawaiian pastries. - the Long John, a donut loaded with pastry cream, was his favorite. It was a great Hawaiian breakfast without having to fly to Hawaii.

Teri Beef Plate, Korean Fried Chicken, & Spam Musubi
    Breanna S.

Zippy's totally hit the spot and delivered exactly the kind of comfort food I was craving. I ordered the teri beef, Korean fried chicken, and spam musubi, and everything was delicious. The teri beef was tender, savory, and coated in that classic sweet-salty sauce that pairs perfectly with rice. The Korean fried chicken was crispy, flavorful, and addictive--great crunch with just the right amount of sauce. And the spam musubi? Simple and done right. If you're looking for Hawaiian comfort food with generous portions and classic flavors, Zippy's is a good choice.

Orange drink was fantastic and with free refills. mmmm

Awesome service and comforting island food! We did not have any bad experiences as stated from the negative reviews on their service. I suggest coming on a weekday so it's less busy. We had the special, the Wrecking Crew Pac which includes Fried Chicken, Portugese Sausage, Hoki, and Chili. I liked the Korean Fried Chicken Breakfast which includes a choice of bacon, corned beef, Spam or Portugese Sausage. The give alot of rice! We also ordered an Ube Ensemada which was great. The interior is clean and modern, with chill island music playing. The take-out side is to the left once you enter; dine-in is on the right. Our server Christine e was super friendly and explained the menu to us. We will definitely be back.

New Vegas location by Summerlin Costco. Seems to have expanded menu including family style. We got our usually - Korean bbq, hamburger steak, and oxtail soup. All tasted to good. Made room for dessert- they had Ube Napple. It had enough Ube filing abd not too sweet. We also took home Ube enseymada- it was good enough. Our server was great- checked on us a few times and gave us refill without asking for it. Make sure to sign up for the zippy rewards program.

Dining area is small but there's adequate seating for a table, by the window, and along the wall. Menu offers a great selection of chicken, shrimp, steaks, salmon, ahi, pork, as well as Hawaiian plates, island favorites, fried noodles, and poke. I ordered my go-to for Dynamite Chicken Katsu (mini, $13.52), its crispy breaded chicken, meat is tender and moist, has amazing wasabi aioli and spicy sauce drizzle, very savory and wonderfully delicious! Served with tasty crab potato salad and kimchi. Also had Fried Noodles (mini, $7.28), the egg noodles are delicious, topped with chopped scallions and kamaboko (Japanese fish cake), it's really good! Spam Musubi ($4.16) is tasty! It does need sauce and there are condiments like soy sauce and hot sauce available on the table. For a lovely treat, they make the best Japanese Milk Pudding, it's delightful and not too sweet! I ordered a regular ($5.20) and tried Ube flavor ($5.20), both are yummy! Ube flavor is so good! The milk pudding has a delicate, silky, bouncy texture, and comes with a sweet Japanese syrup. The milk pudding on its own is so YUM! The syrup itself is very sweet, so only pour a little bit. They also have fun cookies on display locally sourced from The Cookie Bar. I tried Crème Brûlée Cookie ($4.50), it's a huge sugar cookie with a beautiful crisp glaze and is very sweet. MacDaddy Cookie ($4.50) is excellent, it has white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts, this one taste great! Service from Koltyn and Zadus is very kind, welcoming, polite, and friendly!

Things were still getting together but I have faith they will get back to their normal flow. Food was tasty as always. Had the beef ribs and the kalua pig today. The Kalua pig was a very tasty version. One of the better ones I've had in town for my taste. Not too smoky, felt like it was roasted for a long time. The meat was still intact but tender. Ribs were as they always are. The only thing today, was that the boxes didn't feel as full as they normally do. Only got 4 ribs today and they weren't all that meaty. The pig dish wasn't full to the brim either. Also, prices have gone up from the menu, so seeing higher prices (totally understandable) and less food was a little disappointing. Service was friendly for the most part, but be ready for longer waits. Maybe it was because of the move, but it was a 15-20 min wait today. The ribs are still the best in town, I'm hoping the small portion was just a one off.

His cousin couldn't stop raving about the food, so we decided to check it out for dinner last night. We ordered the Crackhead Chicken and Da "OG" Beef to share, and I also got a Spam musubi I had been craving. The musubi was HUGE and really hit the spot. We also ordered a side of Crackhead Chicken without the spice for our 1 year old, and she LOVED it. Normally she throws her food, but this time she actually ate it and kept making the cutest "yummy" faces the whole time. The moment I took my first bite of chicken, my reaction said it all. The flavor was INCREDIBLE! It had a perfect balance of sweetness from the coconut and a nice kick from the spices. Everything worked so well together, and the chicken itself was unbelievably moist and juicy. I also loved that the meat was served over the rice, allowing for all the juices to soak in. The rice was soft, flavorful, and just as satisfying. The macaroni salad was hands down my favorite compared to any Hawaiian BBQ spot I've tried. I also had a few bites of the beef, which had an amazing flavor and just the right amount of char to elevate it even more. The only thing that didn't stand out to me was the coleslaw, but we found out later that you can substitute for extra macaroni salad for an additional 50 cents. We will definitely do that next time! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be back whenever we are in the area. One quick note for parents: there are no high chairs available, and we even searched the entire food court. Since it's inside a casino, it's understandable, but just something to keep in mind.
