The Cow is a charming spot for any meal! The Angry Cow and The Spotted Cow are some of our favorites for breakfast items. For Lunch/Dinner, their chile rellenos are divine and the fish & chips delicious - and rightly called famous! We've also enjoyed the Holy Moly burger and the Mac & Cheese grilled cheese. They also have a great happy hour menu with lots of deals. And don't leave without trying one their shakes - the best! They always have the best staff and the service is exemplary. We came here before checking out Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park as it's super close by and parking is free unlike most of the downtown Historic Morrison. We showed up for lunch and were told it was a 15 minute wait and they'd text us when our table was ready. It was probably closer to 30 minutes but luckily we were able to walk around the shops across the street to keep us occupied. We were seated outside and it wasn't too hot. Our server was very friendly and made some excellent recommendations. We all especially enjoyed the dill pickle flavored Bloody Mary, strawberry and goat cheese crostinis, and the Ruben. The portions were huge and most of us couldn't finish. The bathroom was cute with a ton of cow paintings. Our one complaint was that while eating we had an issue with some bees that were bothering us for awhile (maybe due to the flower pots we sat under?) Needed a kid friendly place for lunch and the Cow an Eatery worked just fine. Unfortunately, (for us) weekends are overwhelming, and the wait for an inside table was excessively long. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather. What we did not know is the Cow, considers outside on their tables as "takeout." We were told to expect our food in 15 minutes -- it came out as ordered in about 45 minutes, so they are not fast. Since outside is takeout - that means, in a Styrofoam container, in a bag, with flimsy plastic utensils. You have to ask for condiments, napkins and anything else you might want to accompany your meal. The burgers were great -- nicely prepared and tasty. Chicken nuggets were excellent as was the mac and cheese. So food was good - worth the wait. The Cow also has ice cream -- go figure-- soft serve in vanilla, chocolate or swirled together. Its Lactose Free -- I really like that. Limited parking available in their private lot. read more

We stopped in here after visiting Red Rocks. It's in a great location just a few minutes away from the park if you're looking to grab a bite before or after your visit. They have inside and outside seating. We sat outside since it was a nice day. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich was great. It was packed with corned beef. The Cow serves a fantastic veggie burger, I think called a Halo burger. Sooo good. The man ordered a Reuben and said it was great. Service with a smile, but be patient because the place can get really busy and orders can take a while sometimes. Our only complaint was the strong smell of old, stale cigarette smoke, which we think was emanating through the dining area from one specific employee. The cow is good, not great. I ordered the breakfast burrito and outside of the sausage which is fantastically seasoned, the rest falls flat including the green chile that tastes like Stokes from a can and the thick slices of cheese semi-melted on top. My husband ordered the hash and a cup of coffee. The coffee he didn't enjoy at all, said it tasted burned and didn't drink it. The hash he said was "alright". Their mac n cheese is delicious. The Buffalo strips could've used a little extra sauce on them, but overall it was delicious. Their cheese curds were also very good. A tiny bit salty, but still gooey and the sauce that comes with them is good. The service was a bit slower though. You can go up to the window and order if you don't want to wait for a table. We ate there yesterday after a morning hike to Lair of the Bear. The system worked well, placing ourselves on their wait list from the bottom of the trail. The menu was pleasantly diverse. The salads were great as were the seafood Mac& cheese and the chili rellenos. The diners at adjacent tables raved about their choices - It appears the whole menu is successful. Such a cute homey place with huge portions. I had the French dip. It was so huge I couldn't eat it all. The French bread was soft and moist. The meat was tender and flavorful. They have a great menu and even drinks and desserts. Definitely a must stop in the way to Red Rocks. Nice front patio that is nice and dog friendly, but don't expect to cut you $16 breakfast steak with a real knife. Drop $50 and get plastic and told no way , not once but multiple different times that customer our front don't get real silverware. Total bs. Sorry you don't treat a customer that way. Long time customer no more. "Come inside we can give you a knife and fork". No more 20% to go tip for you or your "staff" ever again. This is a home run establishment! We were in the Red Rocks area for 3 days and ate here 4 times. The food and the service was amazing. From meeting Brooks at the front door to Leah (Who was the sweetest and so knowledgeable about the area from other places to visit for meals and hiking trails ) Everything that Leah and her fellow staff recommended was like sitting at your grandma's table for Sunday breakfast and "LINNER"! Starting with breakfast was fresh coffee and tea that was the best around. We had chicken and waffles, egg white omelets, Denver omelets, crispy bacon and legendary home fries and oversized bowls of fresh fruit. For LINNER we ate chicken fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, steak sliders with carmelized onions, fresh cut fries, chefs salad, award winning green chili and their half of a sandwich with a huge bowl of Daily delicious soups. This place is not to be missed!! I found this place after visiting red rocks. This place seems to be in a very small town That was quite busy at the moment behind this restaurant is a beautiful trail that follows along a river. We had a wait time to go sit down so me and my friend decided to take her dog on a walk while we waited. when we finally got to Ricky we're seated outside since we had a dog with us. We were informed that the dog could not eat outside due to regulations. I thought this was so odd because I've never heard this before since we were outside. I got the buffalo chicken grilled cheese to eat. I was kind of disappointed with my girl she's considering it was just a grilled chicken breast covered in hot sauce, instead of being shred it up. my friend got the veggie burger, what she thought was pretty good. The cow an eatery is where I ended up. This restaurant delivered on all my requirements and some. The services was fantastic, the food was great, the parking was free, and they had soft served ice cream. I ordered 1/2 Lb. Burger with bacon and cheese, french fries, vanilla oreo milk shake, and ice tea. The 1/2 Lb. Burger was delicious, and the french fries were crispy. The restaurant is like a little diner with a huge menu. They even have a happy hour menu. They have an outside window you can order to go, or you can go inside, sit down, and be served. I went inside and got served. This is a cool, unique place that I will definitely be going back to next time I am in town. Perfect place for pre and / or post red rocks amphitheater visit. read more

Love, love, love this little place! On our way up to red rocks & stopped here to fuel up before hiking. What a great find - delicious food, great service and a solid cocktail menu. This Morrison gem is one of my favorite places to eat. Coming from Texas where you can get chicken fried steak at almost every restaurant, I wasn't sure what I would find. The Cow had THE BEST chicken fried steak I have ever tasted. The entire meal is perfect! My husband had the fish and chips which he loved, I had to sneak a bite also and it was so good. So my boyfriend and I go to the Cow every Sunday. We typically get the the fried pickles and the buffalo Mac and cheese. When we go to the actual restaurant our experience is 4/5 or 5/5. But recently we ordered delivery from there for our Mac and cheese, and it was awful. I'm including pictures of both our in store and delivery orders. The ones we got off of door dash are absolutely disgusting and essentially were craft Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken. I tried submitting our complaint to door dash, but received absolutely nothing. I hope you see the issue with the inconsistencies and disgustingness of our delivery order though Grubhub. read more
