    A bad Chicken Parmesan sandwhich

I love the country table but I'm not sure if they're just having a bad week or if it's just me. But I have some notes: For starters, for pick-up, their online ordering system is VERY confusing. This might just be a me thing. So anytime I order I call in. Well today, I made a large order and they messed up one of the salads, my coworker still ate it even though they gave us the wrong one. And I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and the chicken is burnt, dry, and hard to chew, like a hockey puck. For the price of it, it is not worth it. The other thing was this past Sunday. Now it says they close at 4:30pm. I got there at 3:50. Woman behind the counter said that the kitchen was closed. I don't know if they just need to update their hours or what. Like I said, every other time I have been here has been yummy and great. But something was off for sure this week. I hope it improves. I also want to add I normally don't post negative reviews. I genuinely feel bad doing it. But I really hope the owner reads this and pays closer attention to the quality of their food.

Belgian waffles with fresh berries, cream, maple syrup.

Well curated menu option, nicely displayed, easy to follow menu. one issue: Belgian waffles are frozen /reheated which means by the time you start to eat it, it's hard texture is difficult to cut with the plastic cutlery they give you (please let customers know the waffles aren't freshly made). The Hard waffles are difficult to enjoy.

    $26 for mac n cheese

This place is comically expensive. $32/pound for tuna salad. TUNA SALAD. That is canned tuna and mayonnaise. $26 for a small tray of Mac n cheese. MAC N CHEESE. If the quality reflected the prices, then it would be less egregious. But the food is really bad. Pastries are stale, sandwiches are dry, portions are tiny. Don't go here. Glenville Deli is around the corner - they have way better everything and at normal prices.

Great little shop with delicious food, beautifully finished interior, good clean space to work, fast Wi-Fi, a couple tables outside by the Byram River and private parking lot. Only thing I don't like is they can't make a mocha or any flavored lattes.

We used to love this place, but when we went back recently on a not crowded Sunday afternoon we waited over 30 minutes for our food (one grilled cheese and a pre-made sandwich). When we got our order and brought it home, the bread was burnt on the edge and not cooked at all on the inside on the grilled cheese. It honestly was so bad that you couldn't even eat it. Super disappointing. Will not be back.

Got some food to go, it was inedible, they shouldn't call what they serve "food", doubt I will go back.

The vegetable / hummus sandwich on pita bread was wholly unappetizing. The sandwich filling appeared like a grayish paste.

Two times and I'm done. Matzah balls were inedible- so salty. The prices are out of control.

Almost an hour wait for a simple sandwich is too much. I really hope they improve since the sandwich was terrific.

Over the years, I've found : - strawberry flavored marshmallows - peach Coke - whole Tamarind pods - a variety of herbs and peppers - including chile cascabel, digestive blend herbs, dandelion etc - tembleque - flan - both dried mix & ready made - green corn tamales - instant corn masa - chao mein - many kinds of teriyaki & jerk sauces Step inside, wait, and imagine yourself in Mexico or Peru. If you've never been here, there's a lot to take in. You'll find brands you've never seen before. And many familiar items too. Walk past the fragrant scent of fresh cilantro. Check out the large cinnamon sticks & fresh Tamarind pods. Did you know that Tamarind pulp is a natural metal polish ? Instead of using chemicals, utensils can be polished with Tamarind. I'm happy I found this market. The lines tend to be a little long, but worth the wait. The prices are good. The parking situation isn't great - you have to pay for metered spots out front. But if you are willing to walk a little, free parking is available.

You're more likely notice Quinoa+veggies, Ratatouille, Wild Rice+veggies, etc. On another side, there are crab and fish cakes, salmon pieces in lemony sauce, grilled chicken cutlets and other proteins. There you have it. So without the foreplay, now let's really get straight to the main act. After reading a June & Ho article in my Westchester Magazine a few years back mentioning their to-die-for Hot Chocolate, all I needed was a visit. When I asked about preparation- all I fixated on was 'imported semi-sweet chocolate chips'. So if you truly are a hot chocolate fiend- winter, spring, summer and fall, this is the move. Service was incredible and patient. Some folks enjoyed light bites up front where there are about 2 small tables. I still find it hard to believe that a place like this will make a rocking hot chocolate! I'm sure there are many places that are qualified to carry the title "World's Best Hot Chocolate"- but June & Ho's is just gangster. It's creamy, oh-soooo-cocoaey and delectable. I don't know the whole secret, but I can tell you the main ingredient is probably love.

But while I waited for a fried seafood dinner order not far off on Mamaroneck Ave., I thought stopping here would be good. Ugggh. I was impressed with Mercurio's pasta supply. An additional item of note, freezers are clearly labeled, pasta is all frozen and there's a good assortment of convenient Italian pre-prepared, pre-packaged pasta+ meat, pasta+veggie filling meals AND more. The Spinach Lasagna (bought for my mom) and Butternut Squash Ravioli (for me) were easily my two top picks. I also picked up Mozzarella Sticks and non-meat Italian red sauce. As an avid seafood lover, I noticed a few seafood-filled pasta which will probably get some other time. I don't think price was bad at all- then again I can't gauge it with anything else.
